Our dining experience was even better than we expected. First, our group was able to get a reservation 2 days before- this is very difficult in Victoria. The host and waiter were very personable and we appreciated the fuss they made over the person in our party with a birthday. (she was given a free dessert too)
Everyone in our party tried a different meal and it was all delicious. The handmade pasta (we tried the fettuccini and lasagna) was outstanding and the presentation of the lasagna was very unique. Even the small things were made with care - including the aoli for the yam fries and the house made salad dressing. We appreciated their vegetarian options too. Our surprise favourite dish was the shepherd's pie. We will definitely return!
This place is a little out of the way when you're staying near downtown Victoria, but it is definitely worth the drive.
Had brunch with a large group of friends, everything was delicious, staff amazing.
Thanksgiving dinner that is safe for Celiacs is a true treasure valued by everyone! The food was thoroughly enjoyed by celiacs and non-celiacs alike! Absolutely first rate, delicious food with great service! Truly appreciate the 6 mile for taking care of gluten free customers on all occasions!
Delicious food, staff great, except for our server. We got downright rude service. I understand it was busy, but our server was rude from the moment we walked in. Our menus were thrown down without explanation. We found out by a passing by server about 10 minutes later that one menu wasn’t valid and there was no brunch that day, we were sad as we came for Brunch but shook it off and moved on.
When our server came to take our orders, she went around the table and skipped my mother in law and took her order at the end. We were all cut off mid sentence while ordering (so didn’t get all of our orders correct and then argued with me when I mentioned I ordered something different ) and then she snapped “ I heard you the first time” at my Mother in law who repeated she didn’t want peas as she was cut off mid sentence when saying it.
My husband (who is a server himself for 25 years and very sympathetic to the industry) got up from the table twice to request drinks as we were ignored. He also tried many times to defend our server to my Mother in law who was treating us and was getting upset as it was my birthday. After she snapped at us repeatedly he gave up and agreed she was out of line. We live up the road and heard such great things and agree the food is delicious, such a shame that we won’t return due to the service. I have been to about 10 restaurants the last 2 weeks as I celebrated my birthday with everyone individually due to covid. Out of the 10 places the food here was one of the best, but service was the worst of them all.
Nice Father’s Day; wish they had handicap spots
For anyone looking for a delicious, gluten free meal experience, I highly recommend Six Mile. They have a fantastic selection of menu items.
Excellent food, drinks and service.
Careful COVID measures in place. Much appreciated.
Great vegetarian selection. It is one of few places that has many choices on their regular and Dine-around menu.
An excellent traditional English breakfasts
I've always enjoyed the food at Six Mile Pub--creative, interesting, and great selection for vegetarians as well as carnivores, with a focus on local and sustainable food sources. But the 3 course Dine Around Town menu took the food to a whole new level of sophistication and deliciousness! We were very impressed with the presentation, delicate flavours, creative combinations and overall experience (2 of us had the $40 menu with vegetarian options and 1 had the $30 menu with meat/seafood options). Kudos to the chefs! The only downside was that the service was slower than usual--not sure if that was because of the Dine Around Town special, or Covid, or just Saturday night busy-ness. But the food was worth the wait.
Wonderful gluten free Turkey dinner! So grateful to 6 Mile for taking care of celiacs during the holidays!
Thanks to everyone working over the holidays, we appreciate you!
love this place and the food and people who serve us.
We always enjoy Six Mike Pub. Food, service and ambiance are consistently good. And we appreciate the staff’s attention to Covid regulations.
Wonderful, authentic pub fare plus fancier dishes, lots truly gluten free -- including fries, calamari, onion rings and other delectables cooked in their gluten-free fryer!! YUM
Their Covid protocols are exceptional as is all of the food. The crispy cauliflower bites are amazing. My husband and I shared the crab cakes and the Humboldt squid and really enjoyed them. The service was above and beyond. Six mile is an exceptional pub with a lovely menu. A great place to safely have some normalcy during these interesting times.
The 4 ladies decided at the beginning of COVID that we would meet once a month for lunch to stay connected. Six Mile was great. Food was good and quiet so we could talk due to social distancing between tables. Good selection for our celiac friend. Service was really friendly and helpful. We’ll are planning to go back
Great service, good pub fare and comfortable atmosphere
Delicious meals and tasty beverages!!! I was introduced to the Six Mile in the early ‘80s and it never disappoints!!! A wee bit noisy but my ears are old ... and hey ... it’s a pub!!! A fabulous experience!!!
We received friendly, knowledgeable, and courteous service. Social distancing protocols were clearly in place which provided a feeling of safety without restraint. This pub/restaurant offers plenty of room and good food.
Great food! Beautifully presented.
Our first meal out since the pandemic started. A great place to go if you're nervous. Staff wear masks, there is a separate entrance and exit and it's well marked. Tables are miles apart. Service very careful but friendly and concerned. Everything so clean and organized. We went on a very quiet Friday lunchtime. Hopefully their business bpicjs up soon - they are certainly doing all the right things!
Great service and drink selection. Wish there were more happy hour food options but enjoyed it all arohnd
It was great. We were seated in the family area as there was a large party at the back. As there were no families it was very quiet and we could talk easily as we celebrated a birthday.
Another good pub night.
Superb restaurant for celiacs. Our first time; we will be back.
The food and service are always great! We all really enjoyed our lunch
Always good, very quiet this night. Sat by the fire, there was music in the background but no so much to disturb. Staff as good as always.
Great fish and chips as always. Staff attentive and always a good meal. Beer cold welcome warm , what more do you want
Food took over an hour and we weren’t kept updated by our server on how long it would take and why it was taking so long. We didn’t receive any apology or any acknowledgement that the food took such a long time. Resulting meal was okay. For hash browns, they literally gave 5-6 per plate which is just ridiculous.
Plenty of safe choices for people with Celiac Disease; great service.
I wold not suggest the brunch buffet at all unless you can get an easiest seating. By 1230 the food was cold and most dishes had run out.
I've never written a review of a restaurant before but I thought this time I needed to.
I took my mom to Mother's Day Brunch and it was a complete disappointment. The way the brunch was set up, it took a long time to get through. Many of the dishes were empty and by the time we got back to our table, our food was cold. I heard quite a few of the customers complaining while waiting in line. The restaurant was very noisy ....I know a pub can be loud but this was way above the level we expected. I've been to the Six Mile before and have been happy with the food but not this time. It definitely was not worth the money and this will be our last brunch at the Six Mile.
overall was good but the chairs were very uncomfortable
I am here pretty regularly but this wasn’t the beat visit to be honest. Had a brunch reservation at arrived in time and seated ourselves. Service was initially quick and efficient and orders placed. We waited an hour and a quarter for our food to arrive. It did not appear to be that busy with empty tables surrounding us. On arrival the food was not hot, oh well, hungry at that point.
Maybe up to the usual standards next time
Our menu selections were quite good...two pasta dishes and an excellent salad, although the beets could have been a bit more flavorful.
This was a good meal we were able to confidently accommodate Celiac's, Vegans and those with no issues at all. A rare thing these days.
The food an service was very good.
The evening was enjoyed by all.
Great meal, pub was quiet so the bottom was closed and we were in the family area. Very quiet, Hayden was awesome as always as was Emily. Food was great and the carrot/ginger soup was exceptional. Thank you guys!
Love this place! Has the onion rings and whatever change to the batter or cooking method that was made was awesome! They were way better than usual! Wings and fries were great too. Never disappoints. All GF too which is a must for us with celiac disease.
We had a quiet table in the spot we requested. Server Hayden told us to order early and the kitchen was behind due to a birthday party. Rushed us some appy’s to keep us going. Nice tasty food when presented.
Regular haunt and open table makes booking a breeze.
Best pub food ever. Unique and delicious. I especially liked the yam salad that came with the duck pot pie.
Nice place for a meal and drinks with friends. Had a good experience and the server was fantastic! Would go again.
We were very pleased with the evening, a bit noisy as it was quite busy, hard to visit with friends, servupice exceptional.
