In comparison to the Red & White experience, this was very different in a bad way. From waiting at the hostess stand for at least 5 minutes while figured out logistics amongst themselves, to being saddened that the typical booths no longer overlook the court. It took a long while for a server to come to our table for drinks and even longer as we were eating and plates stacked up. While the food was okay, the cheese & cracker section was not up to par. The cheese selection was lacking, there was no honey, and the orange marmalade was proudly displayed in a Great Values jar (Walmart brand). With the club on half of the space, no the restaurant side is so full and there’s a line at the buffet, which we never experienced at the R&W because it was spaced out more.

The service was awful. No utensils on the table, no refills on your drink. My son asked for a refill to our waitress Sydney C, she took his order and he never got it. He order it on the start of the 4TH quarter. I asked for water once I was done eating and they directed me to the bar. This was one of a few time I did not want to leave a tip because I felt I did not get any service. This experience was so TERRIBLE, it is unforgettable. Not worth it for the cost or your time. You are better office eating at the food courts in the arena. The wait is the same, you get your own utensils and refills at a cost of $60 and if you bump into someone, they at lease say, "my apologies, excuse me."

It was a great way to start a rockets game. Wish there were a few more selections of food. But what was offered was good. It would be great to open slightly earlier - since the game starts at 6 - that would give you time to go to your seats etc

Great dining choice for attending the rockets game. The brisket was perfect, and the side dishes were fresh and innovative. Great sweet potatoes with currants, roasted cauliflower, asparagus, were all a little better than the usual roasted veg. The desserts are still a bit under standard. The cheesecake shots had a strange bite texture maybe due to whipped cream cheese. The peach cobbler used frozen peaches and they didn’t get soft like fresh peaches. Please use seasonal fruit like apples. Peaches are out of season in March. Perfect service with Sidney. Very nice staff.

We had never really looked into this before buty booking agent with the Rockets recommended it and man was she right. The food was really good and had something for everyone. We were with a group of adults and everyone was pleased. I will definitely do this again and would bring my kids. Our server was the absolute best!

What a great way to start an evening with the Rockets. The service was so friendly and gracious it couldn’t help but get you in a great mood and ready for a wonderful evening. Harold the host is a real blessing for Sire to have. Really made everyone feel comfortable welcome and appreciated. Will definitely be a regular part of our Rockets game night ritual

The phone, although pretty average was OK the chefs and the servers, a wonderful they go out of their way to help you, so I truly appreciate that . The service not so great we came in through the club side, and the gentleman kept insisting that we needed to have Bands even though I advised him we had reservations. This is not our first time that we go visit the Sires every couple of games as we are season-ticket holders. The service well, that's another story we were told at the desk that a server would come to the table. It took about 20 minutes. I had to ask several people if there was a server assigned to our table or not because although it is a Buffet style restaurant, we needed the server to take our drink order at the very least . Then it forever to get our check all the while we're missing the first quarter of the game What happened? The red and white restaurant was the place to go? It was food was great. Service was fabulous. Now it's really gone down. It seems like you're trying to cut down cause but at the expense of the customers.

As a more than frequent patron of this space for the past 10 yeears, I have grown increasingly disappointed in its new logistics and set-up. I eat at the very good, very reasonable (compared to the other food and cost of said food in the stadium) Sire Club, formerly Red & White Bistro pretty much every game. So that is roughly 40 games * $60 + at least 2 cocktails, tip; let's just call it $100. As such I do NOT expect to be stopped, patted, frisked and interrogated when I arrive. The new lounge set -up is cute. But again the logistics for access to either side is VERY uninviting. Finally it is understandable that people would preferably have a reservation or "the ticket"(?) to enter the lounge. BUT if they don't, and there is room, sell them one and MAKE THE MONEY and gain a customer by providing an awesome welcoming inviting experience. Especially with the Rockets current performance. IJS. Just a thought.

I have been dining at the SSSC, formerly the Red and White Bistro, for several years. I’ve been there five times this season so far. It was a shaky start but the experience has improved each time. This past Thurs was the best. They’re getting a little more organized at the hostess stand (the wrist bands are a puzzle though), the food was delicious, especially the chili and Harold’s special queso. Harold, btw, is a gem and couldn’t be more hospitable and helpful. I’ll never get why the R/W had to change, especially since the club area is always virtually empty. Maybe after this season we can get it back?

It was so good that my kids wanted to return to the restaurant after we got to out seats. Excellent staff, service and atmosphere.

I was there for a New Year’s Eve dinner. I expected better quality food since in the past we had a fantastic dinner. Since the rebrand the food was less than desirable and no different than any other athletic event buffet. Please bring back the Landry’s restaurant foods and I’ll consider returning.

Pork tenderloin was perfect and had delicious sauce. The brisket was nice in appearance, but was tough and needed a little more salt. The side dishes were very good; Mac and cheese, sauercrout, and roasted veggies were nice. Dessert was nice but needed a bit more sauce or moisture in the bread pudding. It was very nice to have pecans a raisin sauce. Great service and attention.

Food was better than other reviews claim it to be they had options for myself and the wife being that she doesn’t eat meat. Perfect for couples okay for groups. I’d definitely do this over hot dogs, pretzel and coke($30). Rockets aren’t the best so it’s a great experience for the wife who doesn’t care about the games that much.

I used to really like Red and White Bistro and frequently brought customers for pre-game meals and drinks. I brought my family before my first game in over 2 years. The changes with Spire are not an improvement. The variety and quality of the food decreased significantly since I was there pre-covid. My expectations were high for the place with the Landry’s CEO running the show. I would be embarrassed to bring a customer to this restaurant. I will not be back.

The food was not good! The chicken was dried out; the brisket was dry; the pork was dry. Every hot meat was overcooked and wasn't worth eating. I spent $ 180 on two people to eat the worst food i have ever had. The chef shouldn't be called a Chef at all. I am sure everyone there last night felt the same way. They should scrap the buffet and just make it a restaurant with ordered food. Never will we go there again!

This is a fun and convenient way to eat before a game. The food is bad, which really surprised us given the owner is a fine dining guru. It is expensive, which is anticipated at a game to some extent, but certainly not worth it for this poor quality. Save the bucks and get a hot dog and a beer!

I loved the Red and White and was prepared to love SSSC as well but it’s been a rough start. I’ve dined there twice now. The food this last visit was much improved over my first visit. Key wait staff are super attentive. Still, there are several glaring problems: 1. Not being able to get in early. R&W diners were allowed to come in through Skywalk at 5:30. This is no longer true. I want to be in my seat for the start of the game but unless you wolf down your food, that’s impossible. Would love to see that 5:30 opening revived. 2. Service upon arriving is very good. Not so much when you’re trying to pay your bill and get out of there. Both times I waited at least 10 minutes for my server to bring the bill. Two other people asked if they could help and said they’d tell her but still I waited and waited. 3. Expand the cheese area please! More olives and bring back the artichoke hearts! 4. I was asked when making the reservation if it was a special event and it was but then when I was there it was never mentioned again. Thanks for asking for feedback. I’m sure it’s a work in progress. Frankly I liked the original R/W concept better but that’s just me

I visited the Red and White Bistro many times and was eager to see how the new dining/club format worked. First of all, it’s confusing. Entrance to dining is the former exit from R/W. We were greeted warmly but then it got confusing. There is a paper wrist band that costs $50….the price of the buffet. (Quite diminished from before and the prime rib was so tough it was inedible.) I THINK I learned that the $50 was for the buffet and it also gave us access to the “club”….which one apparently signs up for separately. I’ve never seen that advertised. There was also confusion about whether or not, with my season tickets, we were eligible for ledge seating. First we were told no. Then we were told yes but not where there was a number etched in the glass at each seat. Still don’t really know. When we exited through the club on the way to our seats a few minutes before tipoff, there were few people in the club.

The Red & White Bistro has suffered to recover from the covid pandemic. The offerings are much less in number and quality. The cheese table and dessert table are the most reduced from prior years offerings. The chefs have done an admirable job to make the less costly cuts of beef taste very good with spicy rubs and great sauces on the mini pork ribs. But for the increased price of $50 (up from $35 just a couple of years ago) this diner is choosing to eat at home before coming to the game.

Food selections have become lower in quality after the shortages of the COVID pandemic. Staff has also decreased and diners are much fewer. So the price has increased dramatically, and quality of meats, cheese options, and desserts has dropped drastically. We eat there because it’s a pregame tradition for us. We hope things turn around and quality comes up to previous standards. We like the venue and good service.
