Great food! Wonderful staff
Service was great. All of the servers and employees were terrific, friendly, and responsive. The ambiance of the restaurant was great. Unfortunately that is where my compliments end. The food was really lackluster and not worth the money it cost. I was really disappointed in the wine selection. For being a “wine bar,” I was shocked at how few wines they offered by the glass. My whiskey sour seemed to have neither whiskey nor sour. With so many other restaurants in the area, I hope they can bring their game up.
It was lovely and delicious!
Sip is doing a great job with a socially distanced dinning experience.
As always, particularly under the new leadership, the service, ambience and definitely the food always top shelf!
Definitely a favorite for our special friends and occasions.
Love it every single time!!!!
Great experience dining. Due to the current situation, I planned to sit outdoors but it started to rain. We requested a seat near ventilation. The place was well spaced.
We’ve been long time customers but this is the first time in with the new ownership group. They have done a splendid job of updating and improving the menu. The portions were great and the drinks were well made.
Overall, an excellent experience—even in these times.
Good food and service.
Great drinks, excellent wine list, food was tops.
Angie (our server) was a delight
The food was amazing.,
The waitstaff was friendly - we did not feel safe with the mask they were wearing. it was clear and small for their faces and did not cover their noses. It barely covered their mouth and chin.
We won't go back because of the mask issue and not feeling safe.
sorry I can't recommend right now.
Seafood boil was excellent. Large portions of all the goodness. Service as always impeccable. Angie rocks!
We're loving the menu changes! Overall, we had a great night out.
I love that now the restaurant has more of a family feel. Great menu, everything is delicious!
Great place but the food preparationa nd quality was not up to par on our last visit there. Everythinv seemed off just a bit, even the salads were not fresh and cool.
Enjoy the food & wine. Service is friendly & professional & casual.
Menu offers a nice variety.
Had patio dining which was so nice
The special was halibut and it was cooked to perfection!
Love having Sip in our neighborhood!!!!
Food was good as always! Seems like the prices have been raised on a number of things. Four sliders and fries for $28 is a lot.
Also, wasn’t too pleased with the masks they were wearing. Might as well not wear a face covering at all.
Used to be one of my favorite spot with friends and family, but not sure if I’ll return for a while.
Excellent food, surroundings were great and the staff were fantastic
Very expensive average food at best.
Outstanding dining experience! Food is excellent. Wonderful ambience. One of the best restaurants in our area.
Delicious food and great service! The new management and chef have made this into a nice place!
Having been to your restaurant a number of times enjoying always a wonderful experience. Service and a
great menu is the key for a return
dining experience. Your waiter Raul
made us feel he was serving special clients ! Dance / Merci
Always such a pleasure. Simple, yet very well-thought menu, the best ingredients and balanced meals. Will be back, soon.
So happy with the recent changes!
We celebrated my daughter's 21st birthday at SIP during COVID. The food was so delicious, the wait staff was great and attentive, and a nice dining environment. I highly recommend dining at SIP!
Much improved dining experience over anything we’ve experienced since coming here. We’ve been on the plateau since 2001. Kudos to Sip!
Great experience- amazing wines!
This wine bar is my favorite! The wine selection is excellent, their sliders are to die for and they offer an outstanding beet salad. Love going for Happy Hour.
The food, and experience were very good but I had planned to use the passport card and every indication from the website and passport was they still accepted them. Not true. Hurt the value of what was an expensive dinner. Also received BBQ sauce instead of chocolate for our ice cream. They gave us a free glass of champagne and took the dessert off the bill which was nice, but kept the same BBQ sauce covered ice cream instead of bring a new one?
Great service and food!
First time out to dinner during COVID. Felt safe. Great service by Kurt, good food, under new management which has improved this restaurant for the better. Will return soon!
Very happy to be able to go out and this was our first visit. It won’t be our last. The halibut was cooked perfectly. The wine selection was great and the flights were well designed.
Food was amazing!!
Disappointed with our dining experience overall. Food was good but service was rushed when it didn’t have to be. We were having our appetizer when they brought our mains out. We told them we needed more time so they took them back to the kitchen. Minutes later they brought out the main dishes back out but we still hadn’t finished our appetizers yet! On top of that they bumped and spilled our water all over the place...so we ended up moving tables. Unfortunately I don’t think we’ll return.
Overall I was disappointed in our evening. The service was slow and inattentive. Ambience was nice but we were sitting close to the door and I was freezing.
I’ve loved Sip and been a loyal customer for four years. The restaurant has sadly declined pretty significantly lately. Last night was probably our last visit. The burger was greasy and flavorless, the poutine was soggy and sat under the warmer way too long, the Pinot Noir I ordered was corked and I had to ask several times for them to open a new bottle and pour me a new glass. The most annoying part of the evening is that our server has never asked my teenage daughter for her order. I placed my wine order and he walked away before she had the chance to order her drink. It’s a common occurrence with this server. After his third visit to the table, she was finally able to order her sprite only for the syrup to be out and he said they didn’t have any more. The wine list used to be best in class, now they’re almost out of everything and what they’ve replaced their old bottles with is unimaginative and overpriced.
It’s sad to see a local restaurant we’ve loved for years decline. I hope they can get the magic back.
Good food. Our server got slammed and we were tight on time, so had to skip dessert. But a nice experience overall.
Awful experience and the sad thing is I’ve been there before. Their new hire of staff was terrible. Celebrated my birthday and Valentine’s Day. The staff had asked whose birthday it was but never acknowledged it. It took a HALF HOUR to order our food, our server disappeared, walked around her section twice without acknowledging us. Then it took us a half hour to get our food! After we had quite some time before she brought us the bill, she hung out with the bartender chatting. While we were eating dinner, the bartender was speaking with some girls are the bar and said some inappropriate things and was cursing loudly. Do they not realize people are trying to enjoy themselves and their own conversation?
The food was fine, I didn’t really care for the cioppino even though I paid $32 for it but the wine was a good selection.
I can’t imagine coming back to this place anymore unfortunately.
Nice relaxing atmosphere, cozy fireplace & warm lighting. Sadly, the food is just mediocre. The wild boar ragi was too sweet, the prawns rubbery, and the tempura green beans soggy. Our server interrupted our conversation often... we were the only people in the restaurant, read the mood!
The cocktails were good; tried three different kinds between us.
Might give it another try sometime, but it was underwhelming, especially for the price.
