Atmosphere was wonderful. Food was amazing. Our server, Peter, was among the finest we have ever experienced. Filet was cooked to perfection and the Banana Foster was scrumptious. Kudos to all who provided such impeccable service levels.
Beautiful restaurant, but the food was just okay. The portions were very small also. Our service was extremely slow- we waited forever to have our plates cleared and our dessert order taken. The desserts were nothing great. The apple cider cake was dry in spots and almost frozen in others. For such a nice and expensive restaurant, we expected better.
We love it here and come for dinner on special occasions, the Lobster Bisque is wonderful, our filet was cooked perfect, thank you for a wonderful dinner
Friendly and attentive service. Pricy, but expected. I’ve eaten here at least 5 times; never been disappointed.
I had the buffalo steak and my wife had the Chilean sea bass and both were outstanding.
The peach cheesecake was as good as it gets. I will definitely come back
We have eaten there before and loved it. This time the prices had skyrocketed and the food was mediocre. My beet salad was lovely but the veal was tough and had a slimy coating. My husbands fish was fine but nothing special for over $40. My pet peeve is taking my husbands plate away before I am finished eating and now feeling rushed. At an expensive restaurant this is not good. On top of that she asked what we wanted for desert while she was taking my husbands plate away and I am still eating. Sigh.
Rated as upscale however just average family restaurant quality and atmosphere. Even with a reservation it takes time to get seated and service is slow.
Have dined here several times. This was worst experience. Had a 5:45 seating time. We were seated about 10 minutes early. Appetizer came on swiftly as did the salad course. By 6:45 we had still not received entree although other tables seated after us received theirs. A manager (?) came by trying to convince me they were very busy (multiple tables were still vacant) and this was reason for delay. Always look forward to weak excuses when expecting a enjoyable dinner.
Service was excellent although server should have served the entree to the lady first
Great steaks. Cooked to perfection ( three different temp at our table). Amazing atmosphere!
The Sea Bass and Filet were phenomenal and our waitress gave excellent service. Our only complaint is that the Shrimp Cocktail Prawn appetizer was unappealing as the shrimp were not deveined - they were also overcooked.
We were greeted with warm smiles and seated immediately. the server brought water immediately and took our drink orders. warm rolls were put on the table and we had ample time to look at the menu, which had a nice variety of everything to choose from. My husband chose the filet and I chose salmon. both were cooked to perfection. We enjoyed it very much.
We had a great time. Can’t beat Frank Sinatra for background music. The servers were wonderful. The Cajun spiced black and blue ribeye was delicious. My wife enjoyed the salmon. The peach cheesecake was very good. Thank you for a great evening.
My wife and I enjoyed the food and service very much. Arnie (I believe) was our waitress. She did a great job! She was very professional and super helpful. I will definitely be returning soon!
Had dinner with friends during a visit to French Lick. The food and service was excellent. I had the lamb shank and my wife had the acorn squash salad. Both were outstanding. Is was a bit pricey but we knew it was going to be.
Our dinner at Sinclair's was perfectly adequate. The food was excellent, actually, just delicious. BUT service plays into so much of the evening. Our service was curt and business like. Nothing about it added to the experience of the evening. I even had a specific question for the chef and our server answered "no" without even consulting the chef. When you are paying a premium for food/service, I would expect a little more. I will pick an alternate restaurant next time we are in the area.
The atmosphere was peaceful. Our server was pleasant. Good variety.Unique food items.
Sinclair’s is always a good choice. The staff is great and so is the food.
We are regular visitors to West Baden and to Sinclair’s. We were there on the night before New Year’s Eve and the restaurant was limiting the number of guests due to New Years Eve preparations. We enjoyed our meal in every way. The stand out of the experience was a blackened Sea Bass filet with a lime butter reduction. It was exquisite.
Horrible food and expensive!
40th Birthday dinner celebration for my wife.
Very pleased with our experience. The food was excellent, and the servers were splendid. Our server, Shannon, did an excellent job. We will go to Sinclair's again!
It was too expensive for what it was. Shared a salad, each had steak, shared asparagus and each had a glass of wine. It was over $130. We have better dinners at home
Sinclair's is the perfect special occasion restaurant. Be ready to splurge. You won't be disappointed. Be prepared also to pay for the splurge. Worth every penny.
Although a bit pricey, the food and service was impeccable. A thoroughly wonderful time.
Revisited after 6 year hiatus. Last time we could not have wine on Christmas Day. This time we coujld--and did, plus martinis! It was a five star experience on a very special day.
Reservation got messed up and they said I didn't have one. Had a strong opposition to helping me. I took my phone out and made a reservation in front of the host because there were available times every thirty minutes till closing. Don't know why they had such a problem with so much vacancy. This put a bad taste in my mouth buy the great waiter and food salvaged the dinner. Some of the best good I've had in a long time. A little pricey but worth it in my opinion.
Not worth a dime for what you pay for
The food was just average. The filet was very salty and the risotto didn’t taste like they used Arborio rice. It seemed like normal white rice - not creamy at all
Food was good, but very overpriced! Seafood stew had 2 shrimp and 2 scallops. Service was very good. Bananas Foster dessert prepared tableside was fantastic!
Food and service were excellent. Relaxing environment.
Steaks and Pork Chops were excellent. Side dishes are shareable, no need to get one for each person. Wine specials were also exceptional. Beautiful setting and the hotel atrium is amazing for relaxing before/after dinner.
Great food & ambience
Steaks were prepared perfectly per temperature requests. I had bananas foster for dessert and my husband had the cheesecake and both were excellent.
The service however was almost nonexistent. We dined the Monday before Thanksgiving and there were only three tables occupied in the entire restaurant. Our server was very slow to take drink and food orders and our water glasses ran dry several times. When you pay fine dining prices you expect fine dining service excellence. Being remote in French Lick isn’t an excuse. Our bill for four was almost $500 because we had great wine and spared no expense but the service was not reflective. I’m sure we will eat there again because there aren’t many options when we visit French Lick for a week every year. I hope their attentiveness improves before next year.
Quality of food served needs improvement. If you must deep fry corn dogs instead of oven baking-- oil shouldnt be so hot. Both batches were hot dog crisps. Filet mignon lacking flavor. Brussel sprouts undercooked, also lacking flavor.
Good food and service. Server was very knowledgeable. I appreciated getting away from the hustle of the tree lighting activity for a quiet meal.
Was first to be seated, took an hour and a half to get food. Was told the computer didn’t accept the order when it was placed. The food was mediocre and way over priced. Was very disappointed. Was my first time and also my last.
