Great steakhouse with an awesome view of Denver. Service was spot on and our entire dining experience was incredible.
Good food good service will be back in the future
Simms Steakhouse is a lovely restaurant with great food and good service. My friend and I had a wonderful meal and enjoyed a chance to catch up dining out in a socially distanced setting. We will return!
The service was excellent...made the experience so special! The mussels were delicious! The spinach salad was so fresh!
We had reservations in the bar. Couldn’t be seated in spite of the reservation. Seated in the dining room. Food good. Service good. Perhaps should Sharpen your steak knives.
They are always accommodating and have the best food!
Service was fantastic, waiter was funny and very knowledgeable
Simms Steakhouse has been a favorite of mine for years. I visited for the first time since Covid began and had an excellent evening. Great service, great food. Thanks.
My wife was so disappointed to see that the steak she wanted was over $50 that she downgraded to a $38 steak. She enjoyed it all, but admitted to me that it was not what she had hoped. And, I gulped when my ⅓ full glass of “house cab sav” was $16 as was my wife’s. My side dish of Brussels sprouts had several pieces so undercooked that I could not eat them. Service was good and the ambiance positive. But, overall, it was overpriced for the value received. I am not planning a return visit until the memory of this one has faded.
One of the best restaurants in Denver, great food and a million dollar view! Service is awesome and dining there is always a special occasion.
My New York strip steak was prepared perfectly but was extremely tough. I let the waitress know and they offered me a dessert instead of a new entrée. I did not eat my steak and did not take the dessert. The service was poor, the waitress was nowhere to be found all evening. We have gone to Simms for 20 years but may not return.
Beautiful night in the patio. Food was outstanding, server was outstanding. Social distancing observance was very comfortable. Miss the VALET parking during the pandemic!
The food was delicious. We liked our server Andrea. We loved the view. If we are in that area again we will definitely eat there again.
Great ambiance and service. Our glasses were always refilled and our waiter John was great! Food was delicious and plentiful. We'll be back.
Absolutely amazing. Service was incredible. Crab cakes tasted like crab with a little bit of stuffing mix! Which clearly was amazing. The steaks are cooked to perfection and melt in your mounts, can tell they only use quality products well worth the price
Great food and the service was outstanding. The view is spectacular
Steaks had to be returned more than once or twice.
This was my first trip in 18 years, still great food, great views. We chose to sit outside due to the pandemic. Unfortunately our dinner was ruined by a loud family of 6 or 7 right next to us who made sure everyone around could hear their entire 'conversation' which included topics like how different animals (including humans) pass gas.
Not blaming the restaurant at all, but it really showed how little manners and awareness some people have even at a relatively 'upscale' restaurant.
Do check the place out, it's very nice and the food is great. Recommend sitting inside as far away from others as possible.
We took my wife's BF and her husband from IL to celebrate her 30th Wedding Anniversary. Big Deal in today's relationship world. Wait staff was excellent, very attentive. Menu is extensive and had nice options, wine list was very good too. Steaks however were just OK. I ordered the Rib-eye and got Prime by mistake but was okay with it as it was my 2nd choice and I didn't want to wait.
If I could change one thing: I made the reservation and told the staff it was an anniversary. They should have done a little something to make it special. All we got was a table side "Happy Anniversary" maybe next time a glass of champagne or a complimentary dessert. Something. Pricing is competitive with the major players downtown but a little high for the west side of town. Overall the evening was very good. It could have been excellent though, too bad.
Also need to trim the pine tree on the north end of the dining room, it interferes with the panoramic view of the Denver skyline.
We love Simms Steakhouse, but our server was distracted. He asked if we were celebrating something. We told him it was our friend's birthday. The birthday was never acknowledged during the evening.
I stopped the manager 3 times as he walked through the dining area and he brought things to the table (bread), water and returned my prime rib for another piece.
We finally we told the manager that the server had not been to our table for over 20 minutes and we were ready to have our plates cleared and order dessert.
It was dissapointing for one of our favorite restaurants where we wanted to take our friend for her birthday.
The place was amazing! We have eaten here before and it was nice to treat ourselves to an amazing meal prepared exactly the way you would expect!
Best date night ever thanks to all the wonderful people at Simms Steakhouse. they made it a very special night for me and my girlfriend. Will be going back soon.
We went at 4:00 p.m. to enjoy the patio and happy your. It was a terrific view. Our waitress was excellent. Highly recommend Simms.
Awesome atmosphere and view. Was a last minute reservation and everything was great. Would definitely recommend to any and all!!😋😋
I’m really sad to write this review. We had wanted to try this place for awhile, given how long it’s been in town. Unfortunately, we left very disappointed. I’ll start with the positive - our waiter was very nice and accommodating and the bread with cinnamon butter was delish. Now for the constructive feedback. The food was as expensive as high end steakhouses in town, but the quality was very sub par. The calamari dish felt like a chain restaurant, the bisque was fishy, the wedge was served with browning lettuce, the steak (filet) was fatty and mushy, the creamed corn was not good, and the scalloped potatoes looked like a trashy midwestern casserole (and I can say that because I’m from the Midwest). On top of it, the bathrooms smelled like sewage and they have open fire pits that children could literally just walk into, making it unsafe for kids. I’m sorry Simms! It wasn’t good! We won’t be back.
The wagyu melts in your mouth and The scenic view I’d down town Denver is breathtaking.
We had a lovely happy hour. The food and drink were really good! Quiet and we were able to enjoy each other’s company. Great service!
Always a good experience. We lucked out with perfect weather for dining on the deck. Our server was knowledgeable about wine selections as well as menu items; good recommendations. Nice wine list. A bit pricey vs. comparable downtown Denver restaurants...
Ribeye and filet mignon perfectly seared & full of flavor! Simms is absolutely wonderful every time!
Food was good as usual. Service wasn’t great, but we will return.
One of the best dinners I’ve had out in a long time. Derives was outstanding, the food was even better and the view from the balcony really was the cherry on top. Definitely recommend and will be back again soon.
Our waitress was outstanding we will definitely return
Great business dinner venue.
Stephanie is knowledgeable, kind and fantastic!
Amazing food, great staff, overall fantastic experience
Great place to take our daughter for her 28th Birthday!!
Dinner at Simms Steakhouse is always the best and this night was no exception. We were seated in the very private wine room and had the room to ourselves until late in our visit when another table joined us across the room. The food was delicious as always and our server, Daniel, was outstanding. We will definitely be back.
For the first time, I was not Impressed. The meat really didn’t have much flavor. Everyone in my party pretty much had the same complaint. Surprising, because it is usually quite good. I will give them another shot though. The service was awesome.
Great table, excellent view, wonderful food
Used to love this place, now not so much. Went for a Birthday celebration, it was less than celebratory. I know these are trying times with the pandemic, and the restaurant did an excellent job on covid requirements. Not sure if pricing went up due to covid? I ordered king crab LEGS, I got one crab leg for $40.00! A bit steep for one leg, the menu should reflect 1 leg not king crab legs. That is with nothing added no veggies no mashed potatoes etc. I have realized that every restaurant that Laundry's took over, has gone down hill. :(
We travel 130 miles and say overnight just to have dinner at Simm's. They never disappoint. We love the food, the view, and the staff.
