   The food was delicious. The service was outstanding and very fast, compared to what we were expecting from other reviews. Very nice ambiance, especially for a hotel lobby restaurant. The prices were high, but the quality made it worth it. I'll be back for sure.

   First, I will say the food quality is excellent and you can see the high level of cooking in the dishes. However, the rest of the experience is very lacking. We arrived at 12:30pm but the restaurant was already out of 5 items. Wait staff did not seem well trained. Portion sizes were incredibly small for the price. Menu felt very limited. I understand limitations of the small kitchen, but it is resulting in a bad experience for diners.

   Best dim sum in Houston! Brings me back to dim sum in Bangkok. Har Gow and Xiao Long bao and rolled rice noodles are a must! Chrysanthemum iced tea also just like Thailand.

   They didn’t have a lot of dishes on the menu available and it was very slow service but the food they did bring out was good.

   This is not your typical dim sum place, it’s located in a hotel lobby restaurant. The food was delicious, little pricing but worth the premium. The service was great, will be back soon.

   It is a hidden gem! We were pleasantly surprised how well dishes were prepared! Basic principle were just right! Taste were never overpowering, all were cooked just right. Their tea selection was great as well!

   They were sold out of most menu items by 6pm and we were unable to try much. The Har Grow was good, but I think they would benefit from further training their servers. I interacted with someone who seemed like the manager and they were very pushy on getting me to order even before my guest arrived. It was an overall uncomfortable night as we almost had to leave until they made one more batch, enough for my guest and I to each order one thing. Tea selection is a big plus though. I’d give them a few more weeks or months to get rid of the bumps.

   Good experience. Some great bites, but not an all around great meal. Our favorites: all the bbq pork, both noodle dishes, crunchy shrimp cheung fun got a reorder and lava buns Lots of items not available, very long waits per dish. Lots of room for improvement. We will be back to try again!

    We have eaten a lot of dim sum at top restaurants, and the food at Silk Road is among the tastiest spots. Very clean without extra ingredients, served hot, with very good in house made chili oil. Expanded bar menu from most traditional dim sum spots. Owner/Manager asks lots of questions wanting to know how everyone enjoyed meals, and how they can get it better. If you like good dim sum, you will really like Silk Road.
