    Silica is a modern Australian restaurant situated right on Kiama's Surf Beach, boasting beautiful views of the coastline. Chef Luke Basic has created a menu with a difference. Serving large and small plates using seasonal produce, most notably, a substantial amount of organic produce from their own garden. We are fully licensed with a bar area upstairs looking over the water. We offer two dining rooms, both with modern furnishings and décor. They welcome all types of functions, including wedding receptions, birthday parties and corporate events.

                                        Beautifully situated in front of Surf Beach. Calming & comfortable atmosphere. Greeted by friendly staff. The food was cooked to perfection & was so flavoursome. Very much enjoyed celebrating my partners birthday dinner here.

                                        It was our first experience of Silica for dinner. Overall it was quite a pleasant experience but we felt that value for money was not there. $70 for a 2 course meal was rather pricey when there were only 3 dessert options to pick from. We still enjoyed the food and the food was beautifully presented even if service was a little slow. Thanks for a pleasant evening.

                                        Although the table waiting staff were nice enough, the service was slow. The low point was when we arrived, we were ignored and no greeting of any kind, just checked our name for the booking and walked us upstairs and pointed to the table, not one word out of his mouth. Not a very welcoming start. Food was adequate. Fried calamari was very oily. Fish of the day was nicely cooked and the kale salad was lovely.

                                        Very tasty food, but very expensive and super super small serves, drinks were very very expensive. Services was good, outstanding view if you get a window seat, not worth going if you don’t.
