Signature, Inspired by Chef Andrew Weissman
The menu is straightforward and beguiling, featuring Andrew’s contemporary interpretations of classic dishes — fresher, brighter versions of traditional cuisine enlivened with unconventional Texas spirit. Gulf seafood conspires with Atlantic Coast oysters flown in fresh, Texas Akaushi beef easily holds its own with Pacific Northwest lamb, and the Hill Country is well-represented year-round. Local and organic ingredients change the menu as the seasons peak and wane, but the constants are quality, flavor, artistry in the kitchen and a warm welcome when you walk in the door.
This was our first time at The Signature but I assure it won’t be the last, I was celebrating my wife birthday and the staff at the restaurant help me plan it, the food was excellent the service was stupendous and the vide of the whole place rang of an elegance
Of old with a spice of today. Hope to see you soon
Very interesting food. The best scallops on the planet. The desserts were amazing (we had three). The escargot was not my favorite and I have to say not everything landed but the effort was appreciated.
The service is the best in town. It is in the league with Commanders Palace. Every member of the wait staff worked in concert to create an phenomenal experience.
Chef Laurent served a very creative and delicious dinner. Love this restaurant for it‘s very friendly atmosphere and consistently great food and well selected wines.
Fantastic as always! One of our favorites in San Antonio.
Great location for birthday celebration! We were very pleased with this experience.
Great service and great food. If your staying at the resort it is not part of the resort but they take you by shuttle and it is a short golf cart ride.
Loved this place, can’t believe it took this long for me to visit! The ambiance is so romantic. Service was amazing! We got there early 630 by the time we left the place was packed. Food was amazing and wine prices were reasonable. I will be back again!
My wife and I really enjoyed our dinner. The noise was not pleasant, but we were treated like VIP. Our Anniversary mood was observed and the staff gave us little special things to eat and enjoy. Our table was on the edge of the patio. That arrangement was real nice.
Great upscale restaurant! Service was great, food was delicious!
Service almost too good, somewhat intrusive but still excellent dining experience.
As always, an amazing experience!
Every thing was FANTASTIC! Great wine list, the Foie Gras was amazing, so creamy and buttery. Can’t wait to go back.
Where is the Michelin Star? We have been to 4 Michelin Star restaurants this year. The attention to detail and the quality of food at Signature exceeds the level of service at 3 of the 4 restaurants that which we had the pleasure of dining. Very good. Cheers!
I am very sad to write this review but I find it’s my responsibility to address problems in order to see improvement.
I’ve dined at “Signature “ before and it was always a pleasure and enjoyment. From food to service and ambiance. This time I can’t say the same.
What a disappointment and overall a unexpected negative surprise.
Our first course was rabbit with gnocchi.
The taste was blend with very little taste but that was not all. We found small bones on the plate and from then couldn’t enjoy it anymore.
Our second course was pheasant with mushrooms and mashed potatoes .
Another disappointment. The side dishes were not edible at all due to over salting the pan juice which was generously poured over the whole dish!!!
Salt and more salt!!
Unacceptable at any restaurant, not to mention at one that prides itself in high standard of quality!
To sum it up,
the service was great overall, we were approached by chef and apologized on their behalf.
At the end, we didn’t have any food , were greatly disappointed and left the restaurant hungry. Not to mention ruined Saturday night.
I was hoping that this restaurant is the one who will succeed in consistency of keeping it always right.
Unfortunately, I was wrong!
Our second time at Signature proved that our initial impressions weren’t just from the novelty. Subtle and quiet attention to our experience and all the details. The food was incredible...easily in our top 3, among restaurants all over the world. We’re already looking forward to our next visit.
My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at Signature. The food, atmosphere and service was excellent. Strongly recommend. Thanks.
Signature continues to provide exceptional food, creatively prepared, in an attractive setting. Some welcome menu items from the past (gold leaf risotto) were happily back, but others were new (at least to me) and all delicious. Cocktails are carefully prepared. Service is attentive and friendly, though we did have to request bread. The ambience of Signature is appealing in décor, but I could wish that the noise level was somewhat lower. This remains a favorite place where you know you will enjoy the food options.
Overall, the food was good. My husband said his good was salty however. The real main complaint was that the service was slow. We sat and watched our appetizer sit on the counter for probably ten minutes, and my husband waited probably ten to fifteen minutes for his glass of bourbon. It wasn’t terrible, but for the price, we probably won’t go back.
Food and service is EXCEPTIONAL!!!!! There is so much attention to detail!!! What amazing establishment!! It was better than I could have ever imagined. Amazing birthday dinner. Everyone went above and beyond in every way. Thank you!!
Beautiful surroundings. The wait staff was extremly helpful explaining menu items
Great date night spot! Menu changes seasonally so we will be back to try more!
Great restaurant. One of our favorites in San Antonio. Love the rotating menu and great service.
I convinced 2 other couples to dine at Signature for the amazing food and the special occasion . The food was good , but not particularly amazing . One of the six entrees was delicious. Two of us ordered the Cod Special and the fish was pretty dry and tasteless. We also waited about 2 hours for our main dishes. In addition, we were celebrating a birthday and brought a cake with us . We were told no outside cakes were allowed and we should have been notified . I reviewed our reservation on Open Table and there is no “note” of no outside cakes allowed. We appreciate them holding the cake , however disappointed we couldn’t have cut it there since there was hardly anyone there at 11 pm . And we had to make further arrangements after a late dinner due to food delay to cut the cake.
Overall, the experience is wonderful at Signature. Our waiter Max was very serviceable and professional. However, disappointed on the food given the value .
Absolutely amazing from start to finish. Loved the food. Service was 5 star and attentive
A typical Andrew Weissman restaurant. Great food, outstanding drinks with impeccable service. We began with some a different take on an Old Fashion before dinner which were very good. Our appetizers were very good and our meals were very good. The wine list was varied and outstanding. A very enjoyable evening.
As usual, all was great!!
To start out my early birthday celebration, we meet up with my best friends at Signature and they were wowed! From start to finish we were pampered and served! We had a fabulous Cesar salad with real anchovies and crisp fried cheese crouton. After our salad they served a pineapple sorbet to cleanse the pallet and get us ready for our main course meal. I ordered the tenderloin that just melted in my mouth. 😋🤤 Signature is my favorite up scale restaurant ever!! Thank you 🙏 chef Weissman 😘
Greatest dining experience of my life
Wonderful, except for the headlights occasionally lighting up that restaurant as cars pulled through to the entrance. Great service and great food.
Wonderful ambiance and dining experience. Great service; great food!
My wife and I celebrated our anniversary there, yesterday. We had a good fortune to meet Mr. Bean, the manager of the restaurant and he was extremely cordial. Clearly Chef Weissman has created another fantastic venue with an architectural setting that is incomparable in San Antonio. My wife enjoyed her “typical” brunch of eggs and salmon over a beautifully baked biscuit, while I marveled at the presentation and quality of the pheasant which I had ordered. If I closed my eyes and savored the dish, I could have assumed I was back in Paris! Well done Chef Andrew, Chef Lauren and Mr. Bean! We will definitely return!!’
I sound like a broken record (showing my age with that metaphor), I keep repeating the same refrain. Everything was great, service, food, ambiance. Recommend without reservation.
I have yet to have a meal here that doesn’t wow me. Whether it is dinner or brunch, their food is amazing, drinks or on point and service is impeccable.
We were treated like royalty! A truly memorable evening.
As always the sommelier Adam was stellar! The food that Chef Laurent prepares is outstanding. Absolutely wonderful and my favorite place. Thank you.
What an amazing meal! We have been talking about it ever sense then, and would have gone back the next night if it wasn't already booked solid.
We could have a great time.
We were very satisfied with your good service and cuisine.
Thank you !
