Signature, Inspired by Chef Andrew Weissman
The menu is straightforward and beguiling, featuring Andrew’s contemporary interpretations of classic dishes — fresher, brighter versions of traditional cuisine enlivened with unconventional Texas spirit. Gulf seafood conspires with Atlantic Coast oysters flown in fresh, house-aged sirloin easily holds its own with Pacific Northwest lamb, and the Hill Country is well-represented with venison, dove and quail. Local and organic ingredients change the menu as the seasons peak and wane, but the constants are quality, flavor, artistry in the kitchen and a warm welcome when you walk in the door.
Dinner: Tuesday-Saturday 5:30-10 pm, Sunday 5:30-9 pm
Brunch: Sunday 10:30-2 pm
I thought the ambience would be a little nicer. Overall the food was good. The appetizer selection was a little different. Not to my liking. The salads and the main course were great and so was dessert. Our waiter was great! Overall I would give it 4 stars and I would recommend it to friends and family for a special occasion.
This is my third or fourth time at Signature. The wait staff is excellent and the food as well. You can tell they pay attention to every detail. It is just a very well organized and well orchestrated restaurant. Definitely a gem.
This was my first visit to Signature. I took my best friend and daughter there for brunch to celebrate a birthday. It is a rustic, but elegant atmosphere and the views are great. The brunch menu is varied and we all three had something different. I had the Brunch Burger, my best friend had Blueberry Pancakes and my daughter had French Toast. We also shared a featured item, which was a board of 4 types of pastries. The food, pastries and blackberry/lavender mimosas were exceptional and we loved everything. We are already talking about going back for dinner during the holidays. Awesome experience!
Perfect evening! Great ambiance, decor, service and food was excellent!!
Cozy, intimate dining experience. Nice place to celebrate an anniversary. Next time will request a table along the window to have more privacy.
Signature was initially our favorite restaurant in San Antonio. The design of the space is beautiful, the food was excellent and the service strives to be great. Every time we return, however, we always seem to have a problem. Once, it was waiting forever for our food. On another visit, the waiter disappeared for a very long time when we needed him. On the next visit, we again waited a long time foe our entrees and when they finally came the medium steak we ordered came well done. Thus, more waiting. On another visit we actually had to argue with a waiter about wanting a fork to eat a small appetizer that “the restaurants rules” deemed to be finger food.
Complaints like these may seem a bit picky in your average restaurant, but Signature is a high end, fine dining experience where these sort of little problems really stand out, especially when they happen on almost every visit. We initially loved this restaurant and really want to keep loving it, but for now we may not be returning as frequently as in the past.
Visited Signature in celebration of my girlfriend's birthday. We were warmly welcomed and invited to enjoy a drink at their bar before being seated. Their selections of wines and spirits was exceptional. The ambience was warm, friendly and inviting. After being seated for dinner, our server went over the menu and preparation of selected dishes along with recommendations of off the menu offerings. The whole experience was very exquisite, enlighting and memorable. Thanks for a lovely evening and enjoyable experience.
Excellent service and polite staff. Food was magnificent. The Tuna appetizer special was the best.
Our appetizers and meals were excellent. We really enjoyed talking with the sommelier, who helped us choose a great White Burgundy. Only downside was we didn't have time to finish our cocktails before our appetizers came, which were better with the wine. Overall excellent.
Awesome experience at signature, great creativity with both the cocktails and main dishes. Will definitely be dining here again someday soon.
Nothing short of perfection! Amazing food and service in an unbeatable setting. Best of San Antonio.
The receptionist at the front was very rude and made me wait past my reservation time to be seated even though I was 30 minutes early. But every Caucasian person coming in behind me was seated immediately. Our server Jennifer made us forget all her and treated us wonderfully. The food was excellent! Except for that one person everything else was great! Definitely would go back again!
The pricing was a bit high and we sat like right next to kitchen which was not as good experience. I would ask for a table a little further away. But it was a nice atmosphere overall.
While the menu is not large the menu selections are creative and all well executed. Wonderful wines, outstanding food and excellent service. We enjoyed being in one of the side rooms vs. the open kitchen room - less noise and more relaxing.
This is the perfect place to enjoy an evening in the nw side of san antonio. The atmosphere is so tranquil and beautiful. The food is always better than amazing.
It’s hard to say anything negative because the quality and innovation are obvious at Signature. The experience was enjoyable however, we found the food a bit at odds with the atmosphere. If you want a unique French inspired spin on Texas hill country then this is the place for you.
We went on a Sunday evening, and the restaurant was out of several of their entries. But what we ordered was GREAT.
With my IBS and low fodmap diet it is so difficult to order a meal at restaurants. Here at Signature Erick and Chef Weissman made sure my meal was prepared so that I could enjoy it with no adverse side effects. Very impressed!
Had the best experience here! My husband and I came for our anniversary and was so impressed with everything! We got there while it was still daylight and it is such a beautiful restaurant with beautiful views of the golf course! However once it started to get dark it was almost too dark inside, very hard to read menus. But the wait staff was amazing and the food was unbelievable! I’m not too keen on some fish dishes and was very surprised on how good they were! The lobster risotto was the best- must try item (but I believe they did sell out of it early that night so get there early!). Loved the luxury touches they had as well- they sent appetizer shooters to the table (butternut squash soup), a pallet cleanser before dinner (a very light fruit sorbet), and then mini desserts at the end— all part of the meal! (We had ordered appetizers and dessert separately from this). Overall we had the best time and the food was incredible! Great place for a romantic night out!
We had dinner and ate the bar the first night due to no reserved seating but it did not matter. The ambiance was beautiful, the service impeccable and the food amazing. literally, everything we ate from the main course to side dishes were exemplary. We went back for Sunday brunch and we both had the most amazing burger we've ever had. A truly fabulous restaurant and worth every 5 star they get.
Excellent food and presentation. Truly a dining experience.
Everything was terrific! We arrived early and took time to enjoy a couple of phenomenal cocktails - try the Smoked Old Fashioned - it’s fun to watch the creation and even better to drink. The escargot and foie gras were amazing starters. Then we thoroughly enjoyed the Venison and the Pheasant. Can’t wait to go back!
Limited but very creative menu. Sommelier was very knowledgeable and the wine list extensive but reasonably priced. Portions were nice sized and delicious. Waitstaff was friendly and attentive. A restaurant I will return many times.
This was the best meal I have ever eaten. From amuse-bouche start to the artisanal petit foures finish, everything was perfect. The food, service, and wine selection was absolutely top-notch. The ONLY thing that detracted was that our table was next to the large windows overlooking the front drive, and bright headlights shined on us occasionally throughout the meal.
The service and cuisine was impeccable. As always Andrew Weissman delivers with an outstanding menu. The quality and flavor with each bite was outstanding. This is now my favorite brunch location and soon to be for dinner too.
The atmosphere was warm, the food was delicious. The service was very good, made great recommendations. Overall great experience.
We had a wonderful experience during our anniversary dinner. The duck was amazing. Cooked perfectly. Cocktails were great. Our servers was great as well and the restaurant had a nice ambiance.
We visited Signature to celebrate our anniversary. We didn't feel the celebration feel from the staff. Food was okay, my potatoes were burnt underneath.
Wonderful experience through and through! Greeted at the door, quickly seated, attentive wait staff and amazing food. Well done!
Excellent service and the food was exceptional as usual.
Outstanding food, view and location, and ambiance. A happy place with a lot of charm. Suggestion please give a proper small fork for the oh so tasty escargot. Very nice staff.
It was one of the best meals I’ve had in a long while. Everything was excellent, from the appetizer to the dessert! We will be back again soon.
Amazing!! Ambiance was fresh and interesting. Wait staff was phenomenal and the food was outstanding!
What a fantastic dinner. Creative dishes and the service was impeccable.
Love love love this restaurant! Food and service are always consistent and top notch. Make sure to try the lamb appetizer!
We were blown away - but what else can you expect from Chef Andrew Weissman. The Sommelier picked up on our taste, Manager and Staff...sharp as a tack! We cannot wait to go back!
Amazing food, service, everything! Looking forward to our next visit.
We love Signature and all the people that work there plus the delicious food. I always recommend it if someone is looking for a atmosphere that ‘s very comfortable yet beautiful.
Fantastic food, excellent service, cozy yet modern ambiance. Will repeat.
