Fantastic. Authentic Italian food with amazing service! Great place to go.
Burnt steak, service wasn't what I expected. They weren't really friendly. Will never go back. Prices are to high for quality of food
The food is first class, well prepared and even looks great. This is one of the best places in town.
The food was delicious, but the location (strip mall on Highland Drive) was odd. It felt like it had been converted from a clothing store and more like a diner than a nice restaurant. We had reservations, but weren’t seated until 35 minutes after. The entry was just awkward with new arrivals hovering over the seated guests. To order dessert you had to get up and go see them in the case. You could hear the kitchen and the cook tell, “order up!”. We will be back, but not to that location, probably Cottonwood Heights.
Sicilia Mia is always fantastic!
If I could give the food five stars I would. If I could separate the service and give it three stars I would. First the service. We were not given menus until I went up and asked for them. The server was very nice about getting them for us, but we should have been given them as we sat down. Our server arrived at the restaurant after we had arrived (maybe he was late to work). At that point we had been sitting there for about 20 minutes... That's the three stars. The young man was nice and professional once we go going. The food is very good My friend had Bolognaise and I had a spicy pasta dish. I can't remember the name, but both were perfectly cooked and delicious. The roaming cheese wheel for the Carbiniera was quite impressive. The portions were generous. We also had the Caprese salad which was nice, but could have used a little more balsamic (that's just me). The restaurant is located in an unassuming strip mall, next to a hair cutting spot, however the interior is very nice.
We love cerebrating things here. It's always delicious.
Always an amazing food experience at Sicilia Mia.
Sicilia Mia is an amazing, authentic Italian experience with delicious homemade breads and desserts. Kids love the pizza! So do adults.
We have been several times and we have always had great food and an excellent time. I have a hard time deciding on what to order I have loved everything ! Good ciopino is hard to find in SLC but it is highly recommended by me. Yvonne
Delicious food and ambience.
I was disappointed... I like better other Italian choices in Utah.
I had been looking forward to visiting Sicilia Mia for a while after reading so many rave reviews. Unfortunately, we went this evening and it ended up being a disappointing experience. The one positive thing I can say is that the bruschetta was fantastic. Fresh, warm, buttery, delicious. Now for the bad:
I called beforehand to see if I could change our reservation from two to four people. The girl I spoke with on the phone said she could not find our reservation, that they were fully booked tonight, and that she was sorry but she could not help us. My wife and I decided to go anyway. We showed them our reservation that we made three days ago for tonight (on OpenTable) and we ended up getting a table. So, not a good start.
The most disappointing thing, surprisingly, was the pasta carbonara. They're supposed to make the dish tableside for you in a wheel of parmigiano, so part of the meal/price is the production, which we were looking forward to. However, they didn't make ours tableside. For some reason they made ours along with someone else's at their table across the room, and then just brought ours to us on a plate. Pretty disappointing, especially since we had our little boy with us and he would've loved the show. The dish itself was pretty good, but was only barely warm. It would have been much better hot.
Finally, we felt pretty crammed in there. It was noisy, and the tables seemed really close together. This may not have been an issue if we'd had a better experience otherwise. The service itself was okay.
Overall, this was a pretty poor experience and I don't imagine we'll be back.
Food was so good! Some of the best pasta I've had in SLC! Service was great and the staff was really friendly and knowledgable.
Good food and service. We’ve been her multiple times and the food is usually pretty good. However, this time around our appetizer was cold in the middle. The staff was very apologetic and replaced it quickly. During our meal one person in our party ordered the Carbonara, which is fantastic and fun to watch be prepared at table side. However, the fire they use to melt the cheese kind of sparked or popped out of the plate and actually landed on my friend and burnt a small hole in his jeans. It was way funny and not too dangerous, but nonetheless beware of the flames!
Loved everything about this place
We love Sicilia Mia. The staff is fabulous and the food is consistently excellent. Our favorites are the Carbonara and Lasagna are crowd favorites. If the bread was yummier it would be on par with Valters but for the price? It is the best Italian in SLC
We celebrate mother’s and son’s birthday. As usual we had an amazing time and great quality of food.
This location didn't have all the items for dinner as Antica Sicelia. Therefor, I did not have my favorite Spaghetti alla Siciliana.
Great food as always. A little busy and loud this particular night but they always manage to keep up and not leave anyone hanging or waiting.
Excellent food for a reasonable price. Things were a bit slow because they were understaffed, and there was a bit of an odd smell, like an industrial dishwasher or something. I think they're still finishing some construction or setup, but overall, it was excellent and I'm looking forward to going again.
Food is okay, kind of slow service. Desserts are really good!
The salad was unique and tasted great. The pasta dish was good (lasagna and ravioli) was good, but I’m not sure it was worth the price. I would prefer to see less menu items so that I can be sure that the lasaña and ravioli were not just pre-frozen (maybe made at the restaurant but made in large batches and frozen) and thawed for my meal. It is hard to imagine that the menu’s sheer number of items are cooked fresh, and not just thawed and heated for a meal. The sauces are definitely tasty and feel like they’re prepared the same day.
We have never had a bad experience at Sicilia Mia. We take all our good friends here for a great dinning experience.
I am a Sicilia Mia regular. Honestly, I have never had a bad experience. The food, service, and atmosphere are excellent!
Great as usual. Service was excellent and the food wonderful. Thanks again.
Perfect experience. Authentic food and service. We will be going back.
Terrible service. We waited for 5 minutes to be seated without anyone ever greeting us. Waiting 20 minutes to order. And had to walk my card up to pay because we waited 15 min between anyone coming to our table. Super disappointed. the food was really good but service was not worth it.
Food was excellent as usual. Service was good, but a little slow.
Love the neighborhood feel. The food is very good. Would recommend it.
The food was superb! We started with the Arancine, and wished we’d ordered two, not because there weren’t enough but because they were so delicious!!! For entrees we had the Carbonara and the Gnocchi and couldn’t decide which was better! Watching them toss the Carbonara in a wheel of cheese was a unique and fun addition to the experience. Our food was hot, the portions were large and the service was wonderful. It was the perfect way to spend Valentine’s Day and we will definitely be going back!
This location is part of a strip mall in our neighborhood. For this reason we pass it up several times. I am so glad we didn't pass this time (our first time). The food and service greatly exceed our expectations. I have been recommending to everyone I know.
So so so wonderful . The food was heavenly. Our waiter was delightful. A fabulous experience all around!
The service was excellent, great sever, excellent prepared meal and reasonably priced.
We arrived for our reservation on Valentine’s Day only to be told the chef had not shown up for work and they weren’t opening the doors. Nor did they have any idea when the chef may or may not show. Luckily, we stuck around in our car and they opened 10 minutes later. If only the greeting had been as great as our server, this rating would be higher.
Sicilia Mia Holladay has been our go to special occasion spot since we moved back to Salt Lake City in 2015. It was like visiting my friend's home when I was growing up and his Nonna was cooking in the kitchen. The staff is attentive and always have excellent advice for those unfamiliar with real Italian food. The presentation is always superb and the Carbonara made table side is a real show. Love coming here and will continue to do so and recommend to all of my friends, family and acquaintances. The Savas family.
Food was the best part. Server seemed preoccupied and disinterested. Even with a reservation and half of the restaurant empty, we was seated right by the door.
Low score was due to a 5- minute wait in spite of a reservation. Otherwise, I would give it. A 41/2.
good food, but a little pricey. wait staff was terrific. easy parking
Was such an amazing time! The. Atmosphere Was wonderful and our sereve was a doll! We will be going back again!!
