Shore Ratings and Reviews
Would totally go back! Made reservations for a Saturday night, ended up being early and were seated upon arrival. Seated in the back of the restaurant with the sliding roof. Awesome ambiance. Staff was all friendly and knowledgeable—genuine. Our waitress was accommodating with questions and was honest about food in a refreshing manner. Food was delicious. Appetizers were on the smaller side, but we split two and it was perfect. Main courses were on point and portions were generous. Dessert topped it off as well as some house cappuccinos. Great spot to enjoy a meal with anyone. Would lean towards a older audience, but saw children enjoying themselves nonetheless. If I lived in Sarasota, I would be a regular.
Lively, noisy, but fun modern setting in St Armand’s. I took out of town friends for dinner. We were promptly seated at our reservation time. Server was very friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive. Menu has innovative options which we enjoyed: roasted cauliflower appetizer, seared ahi, and that wonderful lobster/crab/shrimp Cobb creation! I’ve had it several times there and would find it hard not to order yet again. It is very filling and full of delicious seafood, bacon, egg, etc. Wine was a bit pricey, but I guess you expect the higher bill with the St Armands setting. I’ll be back!
Went here on a Saturday for date night dinner. The place gets very busy so I’d suggest reservations. The staff was knowledgeable and efficient. The food and dinks we’re excellent. It was a beautiful night so we sat outside and enjoyed the Christmas lights. This was our first time eating at Shore and we will definitely be back.
I dine at the Shore a lot and have a lot of favorite dishes, but this past week my mom and I tried the pepper crusted salmon and we can’t stop talking about it! I never order salmon out because I eat it at home a lot, but I’m so glad I did because this was one of the best I’ve ever had! Service and ambience great as always.
The food was outstanding. We went here because it came up in a search for a restaurant that was vegan friendly as we had meat eaters, vegetarians, but the hardest of all to find a good restaurant option was vegan. I think it is really this restaurant is more vegetarian than vegan friendly. There was only 1 vegan option. And on the vegetarian options they were out of the soup which was was very disappointing. Over all the food we did have (and several of us had have the same thing due to the lack of options) was amazing. It takes more than one option if you claim to be vegan friendly, no matter how delicious that one thing is. I do appreciate that they have any vegan and vegetarian at all. So thank you for that!
An overall excellent experience. Atmosphere was cool and vibrant. Entire staff were fun, friendly and it was very obvious everyone enjoyed working there. Our server Kasey was terrific. The food was amazing, from the olive bread and tuna tartare, to the main entrees; Salmon, scrumptious, red snapper, to die for, pork chops and fried chicken, delicious. The evening was capped with a wonderful key lime parfait!
We would definitely return as would our friends visiting from Canada!
Shore was for the longest time one of my favorite go to spots and I always took out of town guests for either lunch or dinner. It has gradually changed and not for the best. The mongolian Ribs are not the quality they once were the mac and cheese on the fried chicken dish was not good and the cole slaw had no dressing. The beet salad was not up to par and perhaps he worst dish was the crab cake I could not even finish it, just plain awful. The menu has become tired and needs a fresh new look. The space is wonderful and the energy level is great. A good wait staff and good drinks. But the menu and food need some attention. When you drop $300.00 for 4 and leave unhappy not good.
Our second visit did not disappoint. Amazed by their ability to mass produce food, serve it efficiently and keep the quality high. We had grouper which was prepared perfectly. The Butterscotch Dessert is the stuff dreams are made of. Their prices are a bit on the high side but not out of line for the area.
Shore had a well balanced interesting menu with well executed inotive dishes Kung pao calamari was a good way to start followed by Florida shrimp with scallops a real winner. Just one thing we find with American restaurants ( barring high end/ Michelin standard) is the lack of imagination and flair with desserts that doesn’t match the main menu
We really enjoyed our meal at Shore. We both had fish dishes which were delicious! We had a great table right along the rail looking down on the sidewalk. Great for people watching. My only negative comment is that our table had stools instead of chairs. It's difficult to have a relaxing meal when you are teetering on a stool. I realize that you need to sit high for the view, however, if the stool had a back at least that would have been slightly more comfortable. I noticed this in the restaurant as well, that the tables had benches instead of proper chairs. This is my only complaint, other than that, the evening was great! We will definitely return!
Very creatively described menu.......poor on execution, and greatly overpriced.
Dishes were heavily salted.....especially the risottos.
Pork chop had to be sent back (overcooked).......replacement was delivered timely.
Mid level quality wines were priced too high.
Our waitress misunderstood our order (a salad and an entree where we planned to split both) and she brought them to the table at the same time. As soon as we explained we had hoped to get the salad first, eat it, and then enjoy the entree, she took the fish entree away and said she would have the kitchen prepare another one once we were ready. I was quite impressed with her quick resolution leading us to be very happy with the experience.
