Celebrated our anniversary twice since we’ve been coming to Florida in October. My favorite restaurant in the Sarasota/Englewood area!
This was our first time at Shore. We were absolutely thrilled with the experience. Our food was delicious and our server was very pleasant! We will be back.
It was me who picked Shore for my friend and I to gather as I have been to Shore before and really liked it but this time I was terribly disappointed in the food. I ordered the lobster and blue crab sandwich, which was a little pricey but sounded delicious from the menu desciption. It was tasty but for $25 sandwich, there was on tablespoon of lobster/crab meat mixture on each half. Very skimpy and certainly not worth the price.
Keep the Guava French toast as well as the current avocado egg dishes . All five in our party had one or the other to rave reviews.
This restaurant is one of our favorites. The food is always very good and the service is excellent. I had the salmon—it was excellent. My wife had the special—a ravioli dish. It was excellent too. Our service was outstanding. We’ll be back.
Food is always great. Service excellent. Best place to go on the circle.
Food was good. But waiter seemed to be in a rush to get us out. Good waiters understand the difference in working in a IHop and in a nice place, and how to time it. Our waiter probably thought he was providing good service, which he would have been if we were at the IHop.
This is a lovely restaurant with very nice ambience. Wonderful service. Seafood cobb was amazing, the type of dish I would come back for again and again.
Our server was lovely and remembered to put in our to go items within perfect timing of needing to head to the airport and pick up my husband. He ordered the cobb and calamari starter. Also delicious!
We were here many years ago with friends. This is a consistent pleaser.
It’s was my mother’s birthday and everything was a delight! The food was amazing and so was the service!
Food was better on a previous visit. Service needs improvement.
Great food! Fantastic atmosphere, our first time visiting the area. Lovely spot, plan to return.
Shore Diner is our 24 year old sons first night pick for when we arrive at our home on Longboat Key. It is lively, fun, an original menu which feature our absolute favorite, the Calamari Salad. The ceviche is alway fresh and delicious as well. This is a very good "multi-generational" restaurant- we have had many tables of 12 that included 4 year olds and 80 year olds- everyone is always happy with the experience. The wines by the glass are good- the cocktails look amazing but I don't drink hard liquor so i cannot comment.
Just ok. Salads and chowder were good both fish were bland and overdone
This is my go-to place. I love the atmosphere friendly staff and excellent food. I had the branzino and i swapped the polenta for spinach. The result was perfect. My friend had the scallop and shrimp. Both dishes were beautifully presented.
My husband and I took my mother-in-law to Shore for Sunday brunch after church. We had a really nice time, the food was good, the ambiance was nice, and the service was on point. We enjoyed the marinated steak and eggs, crunchy challah French toast and energizing green lemonade. The Maine lobster and blue crab sandwich was just ok per my husband due to the surprise of both onions and tomatoes on his sandwich which he doesn’t like and we’re not disclosed on the discrimination of the web menu. To conclude, I would highly recommend visiting Shore on your next trip to St. Armand’s Circle!
Great service, amazing food, best drinks in town!!
Great, as always. Consistently good food and service. Awesome server Michael tonight!!
Eggs Benedict with spinach and bacon was great! Sat outside on a Sunday AM. A bit warm this time of year but many fans kept the air moving. Waitress was pleasant and efficient....
ambiance was great, food really good! The place has a cool modern feel. Service was fantastic. Overall a great experience.
Always a fun place to wine and dine Enjoyed our evening
Two of us hosted our tennis coach with her 3 month old baby boy! It was a wonderful experience - plus the baby is perfect - and we all had a delicious and extended relaxing lunch together! Highly recommend for friends and families. Thank you, Shore!
We ate on front patio and love the electric awning which allowed us to capture a beautiful evening. Great food and service!
Great food. A bit noisy but the staff was excellent. !
We arrived right when the restaurant opened. So, quick service and it was quiet inside. My husband got the chicken sandwich and said it honestly was the best chicken sandwich he has ever had. He kept raving about how great the fries were and forcing me to eat them. :) I got the pear grilled cheese with the tomato soup. It was good.
This is a fun place to eat and I would recommend it to anyone. The food was very good. My server was attentive. My only issue was due to the open air environment there were flies all over my food. I spent more time batting away the flies from my food that enjoying it. The manager was very nice and offered us a complimentary drink or dessert. She said it was a seasonal problem. I would go back again but in a different time of the year. Otherwise very good food and bar scene.
One of the best on the circle. Some items are a bit pricey, but there are less expensive options. Service is excellent.
Shore is a favorite so I dine there often. I must say I did not think the food was a delicious as it usually is my last visit? Almond crusted grouper was weak and risotto and veggies were really over cooked. They were also sold out of the Surf and Turf which I found surprising on Labor Day weekend? Not at all the norn. Service thankfully was outstanding as always :-) Haven't given up on you Shore and will be back again but just have to tell it like it is sometimes............. See you again soon!
Fun girls night out
This is the second time I’ve dined at shore. The staff is knowledgeable and
Went on a Friday night with a reservation. We were seated promptly and had great service; the staff was very friendly and table care was timely. The food was good, one meal was a 5/5, the other two meals were 3.5/5 overall. The value was quite good overall and the ambiance was quite suited for what was served. I look forward to going again and look forward to trying new dishes as well.
Always enjoy eating at the Shore and tonight was no exception. Everyone had a great meal. We were able to visit without being rushed and the night’s experience could not have been better.
In town for a visit and ate at 4 wonderful restaurants but his was my favorite. Excellent food and friendly, knowledgeable service. The Kung pao calamari dish is a great appetizer to share. Large portion! Light and delicious! My husband raved about the She Crab Potato Leek soup. I had the Farro Island Salmon and he had the Almond Crusted Black Grouper. Both were perfection. We'll definitely return when back in town. There are many restaurants in the area but this one should not be missed. If the weather is nice ask to be seated outside (it's a rooftop)
We brought a good friend here who was visiting the area for the first time. We arrived in the middle of a torrential downpour and lightning storm, having to cross thru three inches of rain in the roads. We love the olive bread app, and the beet salad was also great. for dinner my red snapper was excellent, stuffed shrimp special was good. Our friend ordered scallops and shrimp dinner, which came out cold. He sent it back. Our waitress said the manager was going to bring his dinner out, but he said that wasn't necessary. Still, it took an inordinate amount of time before his dinner came out. Much too long. Thanks in no small part to the length of the wait, he was none too impressed. "2 scallops and 3 shrimp for $31 was not worth it" was his comment. To my surprise, the manager never came out afterwards, and nothing was offered to make up for the delay. I was particularly disappointed at that. I really like the restaurant, but on such an awful night, we should have been treated a little better.
The calamari appetizer is AMAZING! Service is great. Enjoyed the outdoor dining despite the red tide ;)
Almond encrusted grouper with blue crab risotto....Awesome
Service was good, cocktails and food was good also. The Shore is a trendy location for a casual drink and meal.
Came here for brunch on Sunday. Everything exceeded my expectations. I am planning to go back soon! Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent.
Salmon main course was terrible! The salmon was uncooked on the bottom half and very cold. The vegetables surrounding the poorly cooked salmon were hard, greasy and inedible. The restaurant was very crowded and noisy and the wait staff was not very attentive and food was served in a very slapdash manner. This is not a place for anyone wishing for a nice meal with a loved one or a good friend. It might be a good place for large groups of college students out for a fun night. We won't be coming here again.
Love Shore! We go every time we are at the beach!
Dined at Shore based on a friends recommendation and were quite pleased. Great location and the place had a nice California vibe to it. Made a meal out of salads and appetizers. Portions were generous and the food was excellent. Kung Pao Calamari was great as was the Seafood Cobb salad. The Truffle Fries were very good also, enough for 3 at least. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. Will definitely return next time we're in Sarasota.
