Food is always unique and presented in a appealing manner. Staff is courteous and attentive.
Gluten free heaven for us celiacs! Knowledgeable and cautious staff who were quick to verify with the kitchen any information about ingredients on the menu. However, the majority of the menu is GF anyway and you'd never know it. All so delicious for everyone!
Shore has the best seafood salad on the planet. The restaurant is always busy so reservations are a must.
Looking for an amazing restaurant with finer dining in a non-pretentious atmosphere? Head to Shore! The food is exquisite, the portions sizes are geared toward the health conscious, the atmosphere is open and airy and the service is fast and friendly. If you’re headed to St. Armand’s don’t waste your time - head straight to Shore.
Awesome food! Awesome service! Awesome location!
Phonomenal restaurant! Drinks, food, and service were all spectacular.
Great food !
Server was pushy - it wasn't busy and we weren't in a rush, but we felt rushed.
No bread or crackers served with salad. It seems like the food quality has gone
down a notch.
Shore is our favorite restaurant in Sarasota. It is a midcentury gem with interesting architecture and compelling menu selections that do not disappoint. We convened for lunch with friends we hadn’t seen for a long time and enjoyed attentive service, great food, and no feeling of being rushed.
We had an excellent dinner and we loved the atmosphere and vibe of Shore. However, there was a board that had apparently fallen off the edge of the booth and my husband cut is leg on the exposed nails. The manager apologized briefly, but I would have expected a little more attention to matter...maybe offering a bandaid of a free drink.
Excellent all around!
Such a cool vibe at Shore. It has a retro feel with some great cocktails to sip and some yummy entrees to choose!
With a reservation we are always seated promptly and can and do receive good service and excellent food. Always consistently good no matter what we order. One of the few! Highly recommend . Looking forward to new Shore on LBK when we return next season>
We tried Shore at the suggestion of friends. Decided on 3-6 menu for 5:30 reservation. Arrived early lots of seating available, waiting for friends watched walk-inn guests being seated and when our turn came at 5:30 only the least favorable table remained, why?? Ordered pre-dinner cocktails, margaritas, not memorable to say the least, which arrived after our appetizer course which we had ordered after the drinks. Asked server, who was very amiable, to delay our main course, which she did. Each ordered a glass of Shore's house wine, two Chards and two Cabs to have with our main-course. Although I had ordered the Cab, I tried a sip of the Chard and agreed with the person who had ordered it that it was terrible. Probably the worst house wine I have experienced at any restaurant in the Sarasota area or most anywhere as well as pricey for happy-hour, it was replaced with the Cab. My appetizer, Kung Poa Calamari, very tasty but the calamari was only a garnish, maybe an oversight. Lobster Roll was of a size of what some restaurants would serve gratuitously before dinner. Branzino dish was very good. My wife enjoyed her burger and fries. Our Server was very attentive! Most food served to adjoining tables looked appetizing. Suggest you stay with Main Menu and avoid wine and alcoholic drinks, as from our experience they are sub-standard and overly priced.
My favorite place to take guests! Love the atmosphere and the food.
Great dinner outside
I loved the ambiance. My only criticism is that the food portions were small.
The service was friendly and not obtrusive. The menu provides good choices and the dishes we chose turned out to be excellent -- well prepared and beautifully served. Add reasonable pricing and it is hard to find any fault at all with this restaurant.
Outstanding ambiance, service and food. Consistently, our favorite place to dine when we are here on Longboat.
Great as usual
Best meal I've had this Season. They just nailed all 5 meals my group had. Keep up the great work!
Lovely setting and decor. Original artistic elements. Very good service. We were seated in the quiet section of restaraunt which was perfect for that night. Flatbread topped with grilled veggies, hold the goat cheese, sub some San Danielle ham- yum. Very accommodating if you have food allergies, btw. Small salad and a glad of red wine. My dining companion loved the clam chowder.
Not cheap but priced accurately, the value is there.
Beautiful ambiance, good portions are small compared to prices (ribeye & seafood risotto, burger/fries, mac & cheese side to frued chicken), taste of food was a bit blah (fried chicken). Over $125 for family of 4 - should not leave hungry. Service was ok, nothing spectacular.
Food was amazing. We had the kung pow calamari, the chopped salad and the lemon risotto with shrimp and scallops. So flavorful in all the right proportions. Sizes are moderate and if you are used to what most American serving sizes are, you may want to order a few appetizers. Sitting outside on a nice night is so wonderful. Restaurant is on the second level so you get to look over the street without having people walk right by you. Will definitely be back.
My waiter (Austin) was excellent. Food was good but the sushi was too fussy. The Thai curry mussels were incredibly tender and yummy but the broth was flavorless.
Great job by Cheryl!
Excellent dinner. Great healthy food choices in a beautiful setting & location. Waitress was very pleasant & professional.
Savannah did a great job of serving us and making sure that my husband’s dietary needs were met.
Shore is our favorite St. Armand’s restaurant.
Our waitress was super nice. Her name was Catie
Have been here a few times and its always excellent.
Pleasant evening. Thanks
Love the food and vibe. Excellent waiter too
Fun atmosphere and good food! We had a table on the balcony which was really nice!
This dinner was a celebration of our 46th anniversary, so we wanted it to be special. First trip here, we arrived about 20 minutes early for our reservation & were seated right away. We sat in the lounge area which was nicely decorated and comfortable. Our server asked about our drink order & what we ordered was not well known but he thought they might have just received some so he went to the bar to make sure, yes they had it. Our food was tasty & presented very well, portions were perfect, filling but not to the point of feeling stuffed. We were a little worried about parking since the area of the restaurant has many shops & restaurants, previous trips to this location often resulted in driving around hoping to find a place to park. Voila, there is a new parking garage right behind the restaurant, free on weekends...that's why were were early for our reservation, no driving around.
Excellent! Great food and excellent service.. never disappointed
What a great dining experience. Great ambiance, great service, fabulous food.
First time at Shore but it tops our list for classy venue, delicious inventive food beautifully presented and first class service from Michael.
See our review on TripAdvisor. It was not good at all.
I would go to Shore for the Golden Tomato Soup alone
Food and service was excellent. Shaun (maybe Sean?) sorry I can’t remeber how it was spelled, either way he was a great server. The place was beautiful and I would definitely go back my next trip down that way.
