   Not sure what is happening with attention to details especially in the customer service realm. Every server chef included just could not get drink nor food orders correct. Our original assigned chef went to another table, not until we had to ask why they he wait was so long to get started…. Nobody noticed we had been sitting for quite awhile. Other side orders were forgotten had to inquire again about those to be served.

   They were right on time, which was GREAT! Our Chef was outstanding. The meal for 4 of us with 6 drinks was 240.00, (only 1 person ordered seafood and the scallops were horrific!). There were the size of marbles and the gentleman at the other side of the table couldn't eat his either. That would be the only thing I would stay away from....

   John our cook, was great! The food was great! Our only complaint was we had reservations at 6:00, got seated at 6:30 and didn't even get a salad to eat until after 7:00. They were swamped!

   We have been to shoji hundred of times. First my party of 5 sat with 8 other people. Thats 13 people that had any room to move. 2 different waitress came to take the other parties drink order, when a 3 waitress came to take our food order we said we would like to place our drink order. She said no the order is coming she was doing food. I explained we never ordered our drinks the other side of the table had but we had not. So she took our drink orders as well as our food. Guess what they got messed up. My son that’s under age almost served. Our steak was of poor quality mostly fat. We had to ask for the dipping sauces. Not sure if that has changed with new ownership but the table across from us had to ask as well. My mom said her chicken somewhat dry and rubbery. She did not ask for a to go plate said not worth it. Not sure if we will go back.

   What a disappointment. Reservations clearly mean nothing here. We arrived on time at 7pm (on a Wednesday in March) and checked-in. After waiting 30 minutes past our reservation time, the hostess was no where to be found and still many other people standing around waiting to be seated. A good restaurant would apologize and offer a free drink while you have to wait. Another table was sat but had no chef or sevice for over 15 minutes. Servers looked totally overworked and brow beaten. And Shoji’s was still taking reservations on OpenTable even when we walked out. What a joke. Do better as a business! We have eaten there before and it was very tasty but service was a disaster this time. Makes me hesitate to go back unless major changes are made. In my opinion, they need to hire more staff and pay them appropriately, and not keep taking meaningless reservations when they are clearly already more than full.

   Great food! Our cook was great, funny,friendly, and our food was fantastic! Left stuffed and took leftovers home.

   Delicious food and typically will have leftovers as you get so much. Love that.

   We had such a fun time. I've gone there several times, and each time it's always awesome. We had a new cook, River, he was great. Very entertaining and made such great food. I wanna make sure he gets a lot of kudos. The other staff, was very attentive and made sure we had what we needed. Love the ambiance to the restaurant. I had the steak and chicken combo and ahhh man, sooo sooo good. Highly recommend!!! Probably best to make a reservation though, especially for a special occasion.

   Our cook was EXCELLENT, the food was also delicious except that they were out of filet mignon (their NY was very fatty) and they also were completely out of all beers, draft and bottled, aside from Coors Banquet. Our reservation was 1-hour after opening and there was no reason to not have stocked the restaurant properly before opening for dinner, in my opinion. Our waiter got us our initial drinks and was never seen again… we had to flag her down at the end to request a new drink and we were met with what felt like annoyance because we interrupted her. We were then charged for these drinks and never got them after waiting another 25 minutes (later taken off our bill). Overall, we were severely disappointed after only hearing good things and we will not being going back there for any future dates or Valentine’s Day celebrations. Spend your money elsewhere.

    It’s such a fun environment at Shojis, and so chill. It’s family friendly for sure and being able to see everything done in ground of you is a whole different experience. Definitely worth it.
