   Shirley's is absolutely beautiful....very impressive. The staff was first class. We had the "Pork Wings" for our appetizer and it was very tasty and presentation was perfect. We both got Shrimp and Grits as our meal. I've had shrimp and grits at a lot of restaurants and this was probably the best I've had. And again the presentation was over the top. I will definitely be going back.

   Hello! Was super excited to come try you all out. Hotel is lovely and service was satisfactory--- the host/receptionist in the dining area seemed slightly irked when my mother mistakenly gave her name instead of mine (which the res was under). Didn't seem to cheery and inviting. Staff was much the same. Satisfactory but not what you expect in a nice hotel, from experience. We also wondered if we could check out the rooftop lounge. The waitress said we could go to the front desk for a tour. I think she was mistaken, which is totally ok. But the person at the front desk seemed highly bothered by us asking and by the waitress being misinformed about the protocol there. I would give it 5 stars all across the board but as someone who has been in the service industry for so long myself, the sub-par attitudes were really disappointing; the staff needs polish. It's a lovely hotel and we love Petersburg. You just never know who you are serving, so they should look alive. Lots of professionals in that town that could leave glowing (or not so glowing reviews).

   We ordered three types of beer in each one we came back and we were told it was not available so we ended up drinking iced tea. My wife or the lamb chops and a sweet potato fries lamb chops were amazing. It came out perfect. The fries were cold. . I ordered the small salad with grilled chicken and it didn’t come out until my wife had finished her meal. The server was amazing and caught their meal and but it was very busy there the night that we were there. . I believe it must’ve been something going on in the kitchen because the servers were amazing and very helpful and tried to make a difficult situation, right

   What a great evening! We went to Shirley's to celebrate a friend's 60th birthday. It was our first time at Shirley's and we weren't disappointed! The food was marvelous and out waiter was very attentive. We sat there afterwards for a moment because we didn't want to leave! We will definitely be visiting Shirley's again and soon!

   My five co-workers and I went to Shirley's for lunch. Our waitress, Crystal, provided excellent service. We had reservations and were seated upon arrival. The dining room had roughly five other tables with guests. The food was great, but the wait time for our food items to be prepared and served took a little longer than expected. We will be returning.

   Overall a great experience!!! It was a nice day so we were able to have brunch on the patio. Our meals were great, however the drinks from the bar were not as good. It seems Shirley's continues to struggle with hiring/retaining experienced bar staff. Looking forward to the rooftop opening in May.

   Brunch was delicious with great options for savory and sweet. The drinks were beautiful but also well made. The service staff were very attentive and the patio area was lovely.

   The chef cooked a superb Lobster that was perfectly cooked. A delightful place for dinner!

    Shirley’s was a great dining experience. Food was very tasty and hot. Atmosphere was great love the old architecture of the entire hotel and dining area will come back.
