I joined two friends at Shirley Brasserie for brunch. I was happy to find the Oysters on the half shell were on the Brunch menu. Iwas given a choice of either East or West coast Oysters , I chose West coast from Puget Sound Washington, they were beautifully presented on an iced tray with 3 sauces and lemon.....I am an Oyster freak so I was in 7th Heaven, they were wonderful. My friends had the fried chicken that was served with in house made cheese biscuits, they were very happy with their choice. I had the Lobster Tail, it was great. Overall, we had very good food and service. We look forward to going back soon for dinner.

Our dinner from start to end was perfect . Everything including the halibut was cooked to perfection . Our waiter was attentive and made the dining experience superb. We mentioned we were celebrating a birthday at the door but they must have forgotten to tell staff. But anyhow it was a perfect dinner and evening . We will be coming back in March so look forward to dining there again !

Everything that the four of us ordered was delicious. And our server was knowledgeable, helpful, and attentive. Our only complaint was the quite inappropriate background music for such a pretty room and fine dining experience. The room should not sound like an after-hours club. We would also suggest toning down the lighting a bit so as to create a warmer feel, however that was not annoying as the music was.

Gorgeous food and wine in an iconic, old Hollywood setting. We enjoyed shared appetizers that were delightful. Our entrees were stellar and perfectly paired with wines. And we raved about our shared desserts. All in all, a fantastic place to have dinner with friends.

Loved everything from the maître d' (Anastasia) to the historic setting to the wait staff to the perfectly prepared cuisine. The Onion Soup was the best I've ever had, and I'm a soupe à l'oignon fanatic. Went back for breakfast a few days later, thoroughly enjoyed the superb oven-baked omelet and had a great chat with Dylan of the wait staff. I'll be back. Guaranteed.

Dinner and service were very good. Steak, salmon, mussels and crab let were all well prepared. The only downside was a very loud event that was taking place in the hotel lobby. Great pre-theatre dining.

Most of the food we ordered was quite good. The salmon was excellent as well as the spinach gratin. My friend’s lamb and another friend’s sea bass were also really good. The oven baked green beans were too undercooked. Now, the noise level, it’s ridiculous. I was there before Shirley’s Brasserie and the noise was bad then as well. No acoustics have been added. I probably will not return to the restaurant.

Food was excellent. We had a delicious onion soup, not salty at all. Salmon tartar was the best. Marrow bones were very good but could've been hotter. We will go back though

Everything we had was excellent: oysters, escargots, steak tartar, steak frites, profiterols and baguette. Even Americano coffee was great. Nice room. Easy valet parking.

From the time we were greeted by hostess Anastasia and throughout our dining experience, we enjoyed excellent and attentive service by Kristen and support team members. Shirley Brasseries is a lovely addition to the Hollywood Roosevelt. Outstanding food, great service. Friendly and welcoming. The only caveat is the beverage service. We ordered two standard classic cocktails (Vieux Carre's that used to be on the menu for $18.) To get the same drinks (with well liquor) we ended up paying $30 per drink. That seems a bit excessive. But, other than the beverage management needing to improve, a great Hollywood recommendation!

Fantastic service! From being greeted by the Host, our server Nathan, Management, Runners, and Bus Boys...everyone was so attentive and helpful. The food did not disappoint. Everything recommended was outstanding! (Salads, Beef Oxtail Bourguignon and Wild Mushroom & Black Truffle Risotto, Green Beans, and Choc Tart) Cocktails were fun and delicious. We can't wait to come back and make our way thru the menu!

We arrived early but that wasn’t a problem they took us in right away. The food was amazing the cocktails were great the wine by the bottle was yummy and at a good price point. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable.

We don't speak much English, but the staff explained things to us by translating them into Japanese using their smartphones, so we were able to enjoy the food with peace of mind. Thank you very much for being so kind to me. The food was very delicious, so I would like to come again if I have a chance. I would definitely recommend this to my Japanese friends if they ever come to Hollywood.
