Reflecting the charm of its surrounding neighborhood, Shangri-la is a distinctive space in Fair Oaks that serves seasonal, contemporary American fare, along with handcrafted cocktails in a unique setting.
With modernist architectural design, fire pits and classic cocktails from an indoor/outdoor bar, Shangri-la is an adult oasis with a full-service restaurant and private events venue that feels like a Palm Springs resort. We have two beautiful indoor dining rooms as well as a 6,500 sq. foot patio featuring bocce ball (adults only) and full-service seating inside and outside. (Voted Best patio and Best restaurant by Sac Magazine). Well behaved pups are also welcome on our patio when weather permits. Children are welcome to dine with their families but are limited to staying at their tables (not roaming or running) for safety and liability reasons.

We had a lovely time. It was a mini reunion celebrating a friend who recently almost left us, but survived heart surgery. This was his first outing and he thoroughly enjoyed his evening of friends, fun, and food.

This place is 5 diamonds 💎! From the moment you arrive, you feel like you're in Palm Springs. The proprietress greeted and held the door open for us as we entered the restaurant. We arrived early, so we had beautiful cocktails and appetizers at the bar while we waited for our table on the magnificent patio. Our waiter, Jayden, was prompt, knowledgeable, and super cool. We enjoyed more cocktails, and the fish tacos and burgers we ordered were delicious. This was my second time here, and my lady friend, whom I was there with on a date, was her first time. She was impressed and scored me numerous "cool points." She's planning on inviting her book club members so they can experience the magic of this place. A true hidden gem nestled in "The Village" neighborhood of beautiful Fair Oaks. Definitely would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a great place that checks off all the boxes.

Very friendly staff. We dined outside on the beautiful and spacious patio. Weather was a little chilly, but the overhead heater was just right. Plus, they brought us blankets! Salmon was delicious.

Outdoor music was very loud so glad we sat inside. Service was great. Kitchen was a bit slow because everyone came in at once (dinner rush). Food was delicious as usual. Four people shared two appetizers and three entrees and it was plenty.

We loved our waitress (wish we would have gotten her name). 8 of us dining and 1 fried chicken came out late, they we so quick to compensate and apologize. Great customer service. Our first time there and we loved everything!! Will go again to sit outside when weather is better.
