Shalom Y'all is an exploration and celebration of the Levant. We combines flavors and dishes from the Eastern Mediterranean, North Africa, and the Middle East with the produce and proteins of the Pacific Northwest to produce a phenomenal menu. Some standout items include the grilled lamb chops in Greek vinaigrette, the Baharat spiced chicken kebab served over mejadara, and our silky hummus served with fresh baked pita.

Shalom Y'all is located in the heart of Eastside Portland, Oregon and boasts a charming, industrial atmosphere featuring exposed cement walls flanked by warm wooden accents. You'll experience innovative yet approachable cuisine, an inspired menu of cocktails and beverages, all in a lively atmosphere.

Was a wonderful dinner with our friends and loved the shareable plates. There wasn’t one thing we ordered that we didn’t like. From the hummus to the chicken Shawarma to the cocktails, it was delicious.

I can say without hesitancy that the dinner that I had with my husband was outstanding. Given the restaurant’s name and unassuming location, we did not expect such elevated dining. Traditional Israeli/Mediterranean dishes were presented with imagination and full of flavor. A true test, the falafel had a perfect crunch and fluffy chickpea inside. Meat and fish done to perfection. Our salmon and sirloin were some of the best that we’ve had. We had cocktails, which were also excellent; we passed on dessert. The price was a great value. It was not nearly as high as the food/experience warranted compared to prices in the San Francisco Bay Area. I don’t mean to say that it was underpriced — I am just that it was very well priced. My husband and I will return anytime that we are in Portland. Thank you Shalom Y’all!

Second time here. Come during less popular times. We ate at 5:30 on a Monday night. Made a huge difference in all categories save food, who is consistently excellent.

First time to this restaurant with the very odd name. We weren’t sure what to expect. The food is phenomenally good!! We tried several dishes, plus quizzed the neighboring tables about their choices. All great. The wine list exposed us to unusual sources but really good. Greece, Slovenia, others. The service was very attentive, although a little unpredictable. The noise level is very high. We had to speak loudly to hear each other. Not a bad thing, but be forewarned. Overall, a great experience and we will be back!

We had the chicken Shawarma and the lamb Carnitas. Both those dishes were too heavily salted. The lamb Carnitas was just shredded lamb that was kind of chewy. I’ve had several good meals at Shalom y’all but was disappointed with this one. One of their best dishes is the shalom y’all plate with a nice sampling of what they do best. For some unknown reason, they don’t offer that dish at the dinner hour– only lunch and happy hour.
