The restaurant has a unique mission; to eat well and do good. The mission of Sérénité is to instill leadership skills in men and women recovering from drug and alcohol addiction through an education in the culinary arts.
Our aim is to change the face of recovery through food and hospitality.
This was our first visit and we will be back. We liked the atmosphere and the food was great.
service is polite and attentive, maybe a bit too much
Excellent service and delicious food. Everyone was most attentive to our needs.
The only thing I enjoyed was the atmosphere. The service was lacking in experience , took forever to get a cocktail , had to send it back because it was very salty.... food was disappointing ....overall would not recommend
The staff are awesome. I’ve never been to a restaurant like this that reached out to their customers to learn how they could make their dining experience better. Well, not to worry, it was INCREDIBLE!!!!. The food was fantastic. I will definitely be back.
We went there for our anniversary to try it as we never had French food before. Everything was very good. We had a nice dinner and we will be back!
It was very enjoyable and the service was spot on!
Always warm and welcoming, absolutely love the mission, all of the hard work the employees put into it and of course the food!
Awesome evening. Exceptional welcome..great food. Excellent service. Johnny was great!!
Do not miss this place!!!
Loved the location, food and service. We plan to go back.
Oysters, scallops, chocolate dessert were all to die for!!
PLUS a great cause!!!!
The fish of the day, grouper with ratatouille, was excellent!
Staff was very warm and attentive. Our server Gina was delightful and all on the staff seemed genuinely pleased that we chose to dine there. Food was very good. Here's hoping that Serentie has a long, prosperous run here in Medina!
This is our second visit to this restaurant and it was as good. As when we visited the first time. Excellent freshly prepared dishes and very attentive service. We will definitely be back.
We went for a mini vacation for my wife's birthday. We had the frog leg appetizer and it was very good. I had the venison. It was delicious and so tender, I could cut it with a butter knife. My wife had the steak and mushroom risotto, and said it was the best steak she had ever had. We also had very good cocktails. The manager, Carey was great. The staff was friendly and very attentive. It was all definitely worth the cost. If we are ever in the area again, we will definitely go back!
I had lunch and enjoyed everything about the experience!
Truly exceptional. Greeted by Richard, our knowledgeable server who graciously answered questions and explained specials. Unique choices and preparation of food. Flatbread special wonderful as well as french dip. The french onion soup is a must. Plan to return in evening for frog legs entree and the cherries jubilee dessert which are not available at any other restaurants around. I'm confident both will be excellent because this chef knows how to do it right. A truly great dining experience.
Super food served with care and attention...looking forward to our next visit there
We were out for our 13 wedding anniversary. What a find this place was amazing. The staff was extremely attentive, the food was fantastic, and the drinks were delicious. highly recommend this establishment.
Always amazing. The staff is friendly and kind and the food is some of the best! From steak to seafood and I am an absolute FOOD SNOB! You must go!
We really enjoyed our first experience! Unique food and atmosphere! It is great knowing this restaurant helps a good cause, which makes it easy to spend a bit more $$. Good experience overall!
We had a lovely Valentine's dinner experience! Service was impeccable; the food delicious. We will return for sure!
Outstanding service and excellent food taste and presentation. Our seating location was affected by the door opening on a very cold night. The prices seemed a little too high.
Very courteous staff. Food was very good. Highly recommend it.
This restaurant is a BLESSING, the staff was wonderful and the food was delicious.
The mission of this restaurant is beyond words, to care for people that need a second chance and to know they matter and are important. My husband and I felt Blessed by the people when we left there. This has become our new favorite restaurant. :)
Fantastic experience. Visiting from out of town and had lunch on Valentines Day. Staff was welcoming, very informative and friendly. The food was cooked extremely well. Great use of butter and herbs, a must for a French restaurant. As delicious and enjoyable as many of the French bistros back in NYC. I will be back next time I am visiting.
I love this restaurant. We're always greeted as soon as we arrive and led to our table, a server soon arrives to take our drink orders and the meal proceeds from there. The menu has plenty of choices; all I've had have been delicious and many choices I don't see at other restaurants especially in the Medina area. Service is attentive and unobtrusive. We like the switch to "old standards" music. Music is always tricky. We always have a pleasant and enjoyable experience at Serenite.
Everything from appetizers to salads was awesome.
The salads, I had the beet and my wife had the Caesar were top notch. Caesar salad was one of the best my wife says she has eaten - excellent dressing, great home made croutons. We both had filets - cooked perfectly - peppercorn and Beaujolais sauces delightful. Best I have eaten in this area. The Mac and cheese side was a full meal on its own - rich and savory- not to miss. And desserts out of this world the chocolate duo was made for chocolate people like me.
And how I could forget the array and quality of flavors on the cheese board, again not to be missed.
All of this in a unique historical building with the commitments of the organization that oversees the mission and vision behind the development of this venue made it again an extremely special meal.
Fantastic. Food was awesome and service exceptional! Definitely will return & recommend.
We had a lovely dinner in a lovely setting! Every one was attentive and pleasant. Looking forward to a visit in the spring or summer where we can sit outside!
This was an excellent French restaurant experience - the wine list is well selected, the food was prepared in a traditional French style that I don't know exists in Ohio beyond Edwins and Jean-Robert's in Cincinnati, and the staff were personable, knowledgeable, and attentive. Recommend.
Food was great, best sole dish I've ever had. Service was quite attentive. Even the sous chef came and talked with us. Would go back again.
One of the best dining experiences we’ve had in Northeast Ohio. Absolutely incredible food, service and atmosphere. The mission of Sérénité is so important. Very accommodating chef for a dairy allergen in our party, and hospitable server Katie is a gem. Looking forward to our next meal here.
Fantastic all around!
Very hospitable. Always kind.
Very nice! Lambs chops were disappointing but they made it right!! Staff is excellent and service is always above par!!
From the environment to the excellent wait staff to the food, the experience was divine!
Wonderful restaurant with a noble mission. Will definitely return!
Food was good but many menu items were unavailable. Happens these were the ones I was looking forward to trying.
Loud pop music not expected for fine dining experience.
People were all friendly and service oriented! Well trained.
Waitress smelled like cigarette smoke...ugg.
Need more vegetarian options that had protein.
The tomato sauce with the vegetarian Napoleon tasted like something from a jar. There should have been a bit more to this dish like maybe some cuscous or something. Bland dish.
The experience was not as nice as Edwins which is what we expected.
Not sure if we will return after this first experience.
