Located just steps from the beach in the legendary Hotel del Coronado, the restaurant's key focus is the bounty of the sea.     We were shown to our table by the front desk manager, but it took awhile for server to come around to ask for drinks. We were misplaced. Califlower appetizer was good, oyster was ok. Pasta dish was way too spicy, even more spicier than the Indian spice. Dessert was good. Over tried her best to accommodate but the overall experience was poor

    Wonderful server. Excellent grilled salad, I loved the wood fired whole fish. I was kindly placed at a corner table on the upstairs patio, which had a great view and was very private and shaded with a breeze.

    Great food as always. Just a bit disappointed because they didn’t have the grilled octopus available and the branzino available yesterday. Other than that everything is good.

    We originally had reservations for four, but when we arrived, we let the host know it was only a party of two. We were seated at a mediocre table. When I asked the girl why couldn’t we sit at a booth, she said those were for larger parties. Within 30 minutes, three party of two were seated on the higher booths. Interesting…..I guess it didn’t really matter because there was a wedding scheduled for that evening and huge walls were erected blocking all of the ocean view. Something that should have been mentioned at reservation time.  I ordered the steak and eggs, medium rare, and the steak was flavorless. Very surprised and disappointed The eggs were ordered over medium and at least had flavor, the fries were mediocre at best. I ordered a mimosa ($24) the glass was so small….my recommendation isn’t brunch here. But if you do decide to try it-call and make sure your view isn’t going to be obstructed.

    Service was great! The staff was very prompt and attentive. They made it a very pleasant experience. The food was well prepared for the most part. We ordered the wagyu and jumbo prawn surf n turf plate. The waygu was good, but not the best we’ve had. It was well prepared to a medium rare and seasoned well, not too salty. Our only mark against the dish is due to the cut that we received, which had an excess of fat and gristle, and not quite the cut with your fork tenderness we typically expect from waygu. The prawns, however, were perfectly prepared, as well as the seasonal vegetable blend. The highlight dish for us was actually the crusted eggplant! The flavors were very complementary and balanced. The extra crunch of the thin but delightful gluten free crust was a great texture. We also started with the big eye tuna tartare, which was very refreshing and perfect for a starter. The various greens were a perfect fresh presence in each bite. Overall, we definitely recommended visiting Serea for any occasion!

    We had an incredible experience last night at this restaurant. Our server mark was outstanding, knew the entire menu inside out, including the wine. The sea bass was to die for and melted in your mouth. Will definitely be returning! What a dinner.

    It was SPECTACULAR!!! Allen our server was top notch! Very engaging, knowledgeable and a great picture taker! As first time visitors to SD and the Del, we didn’t know what to expect especially because it’s such a busy resort. But as soon as we checked in with the host, it was 5+ stars! Thank you for making our first visit so memorable! We are already booking our next trip!
