Amazing service and amazing food. Our waiter made sure everything was on time and perfect. Cant wait to go back!
Absolutely beautiful. Amazing experience with my significant other. Would not change a thing!
We had the absolute best Thanks feast at the restaurant! And, our server, John, was extremely professional, yet personal. 5 stars!!!! We can’t wait to return.
This restaurant is beautiful and the service is impeccable. The prix fix menu for Thanksgiving terrible.
The ambience at Serea was wonderful...outside with Christmas decor and trees, people watching and the sound of the ocean waves crashing. Food was very good and the waiter knew just the right amount to be involved.
We had the most wonderful dinner here. Despite the limitations of COVID, we were able to have a delicious meal to celebrate my birthday. Our server, Mark, was attentive and kind. The filet was to DIE for and the sunchokes were beyond delicious. It felt like a little piece of normalcy. I highly recommend this place, but could you really go wrong when you get to eat dinner at the Del!?
Celebrated our engagement here with the most beautiful view of the beach and great service!
Food was fantastic, service was fairly mediocre given the price point. Nice atmosphere until a large and loud party was seated beside us.
Staff, food, drinks, view.. you can’t beat it! It was my wife’s birthday and one she’ll always remember!
Amazing outdoor views of ocean! Comfortable seating and delicious flavorful food!
Beautiful location. Friendly waiter. Terrible food. I should have sent my $64 incredibly salty piece of fish back but was too embarrassed in front of my date. She didn’t much care for her pesto pasta dish either. Sorry end to an otherwise nice evening.
Amazing food, gorgeous sunset view and Mark was gracious and extremely attentive; we appreciated the hospitality! Thank you!
Great place for a friends dinner or even a romantic date!
We were celebrating our anniversary. Everything was great!
Serea is great if you like the menu. It’s very limited and a couple of the fish dishes take 45 minutes to cook!
That said, my salmon was excellent and the patatas bravas were wonderful.
The creme brûlée they gave us as an Anniversary treat was wonderful as well.
Service and atmosphere were top notch!
So beautiful! So good!
Our waitress was great, except I don’t think she got the message that it was our anniversary. The hostess wished us a happy anniversary when we were seated. When dessert time came we ordered but nothing special was done, however the table behind us was brought an anniversary dessert with candles and everything. Strange that we were treated differently. The whole fish was awesome, the patatas bravas were ok, the octopus appetizer was really good except the main tentacle served was overdone.
Great environment. Drinks were $19 each. Food was well prepared.
Brett was amazing food was awesome
Did a get-away weekend to San Diego with my wife and she wanted seafood the whole weekend. Did a quick scan for seafood restaurants around Coronado, and found Serea #1 on the list. It's the main restaurant within the iconic Hotel Del Coronado, an added bonus because she's always wanted to visit the hotel grounds. Not being familiar with the hotel, the restaurant was a little hard to find. Once we found it, it was in the perfect location surrounded by the beautiful grounds of the hotel overlooking the ocean. I had 8pm reservations, but didn't arrive until 8:30, which is their last seating for a Thursday night. We had a great table with perfect views of the beach. Service was excellent throughout. The waiter knew the menu inside and out and was very helpful the whole evening. While the menu initially looked a little limiting, the waiter's explanation made everything sound delicious. We started with oysters, moved on to some shrimp, then to a ceviche appetizer. The oysters were super-clean and fresh. The shrimp was seasoned perfectly and accompanied with a butter-sauce that was an ideal match. Even the ceviche had it's own uniqueness to it. Next came a wood-grilled strip bass with a side of squash. Again, all of the food was excellent being perfectly cooked and seasoned - well beyond the ordinary luxurious dinner, with the service to match.
A little pricey at $100 per person, but that's to be expected for this level of ambiance, quality, and service.
To end the evening, the grounds of the hotel are wonderful. We took a quick stroll along the beach to admire the views.
Had a little issue paying for parking as the machine wouldn't take my payment. Called for assistance and Caesar (from security) came out within 30 seconds. He tried to fix the issue, and literally walked us to our car and to the gate to ensure the issue was resolved - great service.
The food was excellent, best I’ve had in a while! The server Armando was horrible however. We ordered apps/food/ a beer and sparkling water. Then my wife and I never saw the server again! Nobody checked on us after the food arrived, we wanted more water or a drink, but we were never asked for some. Finally I had to ask the hostess to get our waiter to bring the bill. This was after asking the bus boy cleaning our plates to do get our waiter and still he didn’t arrive. When he came he just brought the bill, no ask of how anything was or if we needed anything else. No ask for dessert as we were celebrating my wife’s 30th Birthday. Horrible service ruined the end of an amazing dining experience!
The food was great. However the service left a lot to be desired. We tried our best to be patient, given Covid 19, but it was just too bad to not complain. To give an example, we waited 25 minutes after being seated just for the server to show up and take our order, let alone introduce himself. We let that go. After another long wait, our food came, and as previously mentioned, it was all great. After dessert, it took another 30 minutes to get the server to come to our table again so that we could get our bill. Actually he never came over again and I had to flag another person to request the bill.
All in all, we were seated from 6:15 to 8:45. I think our server came to our table about 4 times. One was to get our order, another to bring our drinks, another time to help bring some of the plates (other servers actually brought our most of our plates), and lastly to get our dessert order.
Once again, we try to be patient with businesses during Covid 19, and my wife and I said to ourselves, "they must be understaffed?" But that was not really even the case. In the 30 minutes that we waited for the bill, I observed our server spending a lot of time at his 2 other tables, and was disappointed that he seemed to be at their tableside quite a bit. The difference was, our table was a family with 4 kids, and the other tables were 4 adults who I'm sure were ordering a lot of drinks. Get my drift? Despite that, we still tipped them 20%, because, you know, Covid 19.
This was a special night with my son and daughter-in-law, and Serea was the perfect spot to celebrate. I hadn't been there for several years, but I was not disappointed! Wonderful food, great location and stellar service.
Very good food. Love the place and the staff are excellent
Bad service. Very unfriendly waitress.
it was such a beautiful ambience and they catered to my gluten intolerance.
Delicious food. We had Oysters, the octopus appetizer, Eggs Benedict and a Lobster roll. Everything was delectable and we enjoyed the view.
While the food and service were very good. We were surprised to get a $500 check for a dinner for four and we didn’t order a lot or anything outrageous. We all had the snapper, catch of the day, but there was no indication on the menu of the price, which turned out to be pricey. Ask or be aware when ordering.
Outstanding food and service
Dinner was wonderful! Service was great and the ambiance was amazing.
Amazing food. Great service , the place is cozy and cool at the same time.
Overall is good, but pricey for the quality of food. Great ambiance. Magnificent view. Great service.
What can I say that many other haven’t already said. It’s an extremely beautiful location with a fantastic view of the ocean. The food is phenomenal and the service was outstanding. 11/10 would go back for sure. Make a reservation around sunset time and request a table with the best view.
Beautiful atmosphere while dining outside overlooking the ocean with some awesome seafood.
You pay for the location and the view. $750 for 4?adults and 2 children is absolutely obscene.
We celebrated a 50th birthday and everything from the service, ambiance and food was superb! I would highly recommend this restaurant.
We have been eating brunch at several places all over the San Diego area. We really enjoy the Open Table App which made it quite easy to use when planning a get together with your close friends.
Seréa was a wonderful ambience that made it so classy way of enjoying brunch but it was not the traditional
Brunch set up due to Pandemic issues we were still able to enjoy a very gourmet brunch entrees. Each dish was carefully prepared and made so exquisite in presentation and taste was top notch. Flavors were carefully fused like the lobster chorizo omelette.. I highly recommend this place and the use of Open Table App to reserve your seat.
Best view and phenomenal seafood! Staff is very friendly.
