The ritual of coming together sharing wine and food with family and friends is the central motif in our lives. Italian food has an immediacy, honesty, and warmth; it possesses the spirit of a grandmother's wisdom and love. Italian food isn't about trailblazing alchemy or edible high fashion; Italian food is about staying connected—to each other, to the past, to the earth.

Food and wine are great! Love it!
Food was decent-place was too loud. Service was mediocre.
This was our second time at Serafina. The first time everything was excellent 10/10 for the food. This time, 3 out of 6 of our party order the pasta di giorno- lobster tortellini which came highly recommended by our waiter. It was not good. Not at all. It was in a broth, no sauce, not much flavor and the pasta was very firm like quite under cooked maybe? It was a real bummer because the ambiance, service, drinks, etc were all fabulous.
Try the eggplant it’s amazing! Great service relaxed candlelight tables. Warm and inviting
Perfect New Years Eve - Thank you Serafina team it was awesome!
Noise level was so high, my partner and I could not hear each other, and we were seated super close, in a corner. The food was good, but there was so very little of it. Service was good, but we ended up with an item that I was allergic to, in the bread, even though I specified that I did not want anything with pepper in it.
It was wonderful. Amazing food.
Has been a few years - pleased to find that this continues to be outstanding food served graciously.
Lovely and elegant ambiance. Server really tried to accommodate us, but the kitchen couldn’t make anything we wanted without heaps of pre-seasoned black pepper on every meat and seafood dish. We paid $66 for bread, water, one glass of rather nice wine, and bland pasta (as in there was little other than pasta in the pasta dish). This all suggested to us that the chef relies entirely on overuse of pepper to generate taste in the dishes. They saw on my OpenTable reservation that I can not tolerate spice (causes dangerous autoimmune disease flare — not just a preference but something I simply must insist on). Yet they were utterly flummoxed and could only recommend one main dish (spaghetti with literally nothing other than tomato sauce with slices of garlic) on the entire menu that could accommodate the very simple request that black pepper or chili flakes be left out. We were underwhelmed.
This has become our go to restaurant for special occasions. The food was fantastic and we like the lively atmosphere.
12/19/2019 it was just what I wanted to celebrate my birthday with 3 very dear friends. Stormy night and felt lovely at Serafina.
Portions were tiny. We were overcharged for a cheese plate and the pasta plate was a speck. It was when they were getting read to close for the afternoon. I will never go back. I was hungry after I had spent $95. for nothing.
As always, Serafina delivered! The service, ambiance and food was extraordinary. Beth, our server, knew the menu backwards and front. The entrees were delicious and inventive. Overall - Serafina delivers on all front.
Mussels were out of this world! As was the salad limone with soft cooked egg which went well with the mussels. Great pre-fixe meal for $20! Loved every bite!
Exceptional service and attention to detail
The entrees were delicious and had the best presentation . Beef short ribs and Brussels sprouts were cooked to perfection
The wine we selected took awhile because he had to go next door but he gave us a tasting of another while we waited. I will be back again !
Have been coming here for many many years. The food is always excellent. No complaints ever. I want to talk about service though:
* I had a reservation for 6; only 5 people showed up since one of the couples had an issue with a babysitter. The hostess was not very pleased with that. It's ok to smile and understand circumstance
* 3 of the 5 people were there at reservation time. However, hostess would not seat us till the entire party shows up. Why? What logical reason would one have since the table was ready? The bar area is too congested for anybody to hover and order a drink. If you had seated me, maybe I would ordered a drink at the table while waiting.
* You are on a street with permit parking spaces. I got a ticket which I have never received one before. There is no parking available close by and there is no valet. The signs for permit parking are terrible and multiple people got tickets. I understand this is not under your control; but understand that you might have to make accommodations for customers who aren't aware of the stupidities of Seattle parking.
Amazing, as always!
Excellent as always. Simple out, this place makes the best
My wife and I went out for an impromptu date night and everything was perfect. We started with the arancini and bread. The arancini was perfectly cooked and had wonderful texture and flavor. We split a the ravanello salad - a good size portion even to split. For our main courses, I had the special pasta (a tagliatelle with sausage and peppers) and it is worthy of being on the menu full time. My wife had the melanzane (a recommendation from Bryan) and it was easy to see why it is one of the most popular dishes. Be warned - if you get the melanzane, you need other courses because it takes a long time to prepare. If you are in no rush, it’s definitely worth the wait!
All of our foods were paired perfectly with great wine recommendations from Sal. We look forward to coming back!
Always delicious! Great service! And a fun time!
A wonderful break in the middle of the day. We had a multiple course, each dish was delicious, not to skip over the two bottles of wine. Just a pleasant Seattle day
Serafina always has great food and great service. The waitstaff is really patient and upbeat. All of our dishes were prepared perfectly and were hot when they arrived. The pasta dishes really highlight the reason for visiting over and over. Rigatoni with lamb and fennel sausage is killer. One of our favorite go-to spots in Seattle!
I wasn’t a fan of the hostess. She needs to watch how she communicates with clients.
I love this place! Food is always great as is the ambiance. I do miss the live music and felt that s couple of dishes had pretty small portion size for the price.
I took my family to dinner here the day after Thanksgiving. The service was very good, friendly and informative, and the sommelier helped me pick a moderately priced Nebbiolo that was very nice.
We had a variety of pastas, and i have a secondi, the short rib. I had the cavatelli with rabbit. It was only ok in my opinion. It was overseasoned with pepper, and the rabbit had not been totally deboned, which appears to have been inadvertent. I punctured my gum on a piece of bone, which made it hard to chew the past couple days. My daughter had the ragu, and i thought it was overspiced. I like spicey food, but i had a lot of ragu this past summer in Tuscany and never was it as spicey as this version. The short rib was, as one would expect, tender and rich. Just fine.
All in all, I was a little underwhelmed by the quality of the food, and it wasn't cheap. For about the same price, Il Terrazzo is a better bet.
Wonderful people, excellent food, great ambiance. What else is there??
The limone salad had a nice flavor, the anchovy flavor really stood out.....I guess bad if you don't care for anchovies. I could have wished for a runnier egg yolk vs just a soft boiled egg. The Brussels sprouts with guanciale was very flavorful....loved the salty bites of the guanciale. The lasagna was good, but nothing I would say "wow" over. The pork chop, though, was thick and juicy and the accompanying flavors were absolutely harmonious. Highly recommended.
The room was a bit cold but the eggplant was delicious.
Great service and lovely ambiance. My parents were visiting from New York City, and this met all of their needs (they can be quite picky!) -- Grateful to the waiters who made the experience even better. Highly recommend and would return.
The best mussels we have ever had, anywhere!!! We love Tony at the bar and all of the wonderful staff!!
Everything we ordered was delicious,
We started with bruschetta, and ended with port and espresso..
The service was fantastic , our reservation time was perfectly on time , parking was not an issue.
The menu had a large selection , I’m a vegetarian and my husband is definitely not !!
Enough choices to make us happy ..
We definitely be back !
The pasta and wine were delicious, and the service was spot on. The menu was meat heavy but the restaurant was willing to accommodate dietary preferences. Would highly recommend!
Superb service and delicious food. This place is a gem.
We had a lovely dinner at Serafina on a Friday night. The restaurant was packed and the ambiance was fabulous. So warm and cozy on a rainy winter night. The food and wine were delicious. Our waitress was attentive and charming. Serafina remains one of my favorite restaurants in Seattle.
This place never disappoints. At our table of six every dish was consistently good. It was almost impossible to decide what to order as each dish is so unique. Can't wait to go back.
Best date night in a long time. Thank you!
Best place in Seattle - service, drinks, wine selection, and food prep.
So delicious! Hubby had the swordfish special and LOVED it! Also shared the Arancini which are wonderful. I had melanzane and took half home which I had for breakfast the next day and loved it both times.
We tried the peanut butter mousse dessert which was terrific.
Treat yourself and take your friends. The vibe is awesome and bar is always hopping as well.
Jonah was our server and he’s always spot on with his friendliness and great service!
Worth it - beautiful ambiance & high class fare
