The ritual of coming together sharing wine and food with family and friends is the central motif in our lives. Italian food has an immediacy, honesty, and warmth; it possesses the spirit of a grandmother's wisdom and love. Italian food isn't about trailblazing alchemy or edible high fashion; Italian food is about staying connected—to each other, to the past, to the earth.

Great to return to one of our all time favs.
Our first night out post pandemic.
New staff (to us) Chris, our server, helpful and informed.
Of course seeing our old friend Gabriel a real plus!!!
We had a very nice dinner. It seemed a bit busy, and we waited a bit, but the food was fantastic! Would definitely recommend.
Great good, amazing service.
My wife and I had a lovely anniversary dinner
Always a perfect dining experience in a place that is a “old” Seattle neighborhood staple. The perfect place for a quiet dinner out.
The patio has a great atmosphere, very Mediterranean actually. We loved it! Very nice surprise.
Enjoyed the cocktails! very friendly and efficient service. Food was delicious
One our favorites for a special occassion or just a good meal close by. Their ambience is a bit eclectic which we like. It is not pretentious or flashy. It’s an environment that helps us settle down, relax and take the time to enjoy our conversations and tasty food. To be CLEAR though, it is very clean and Covid Aware with table spacing, masks for staff, etc.
Staff is warm, friendly and attentive but not intrusive. They know their menus and make helpful suggestions. You can tell they like each other, working at Serafina and YES, their customers too!
Food is so comforting and tasty, fresh and wholesome ingredients! And the menu also offers a large selection of more creative/unusual dishes so you always have an opportunity to try something new along with their more mainstream offerings which are always prepared and cooked to their high standards.
Normally the restaurant is very popular and busy, especially Fri/Sat evenings. The decibels of lots of people having table conversations can add up. But last night with tables spaced out for Covid it was quieter which we prefer. But these were peak hours so to minimize decibels you might go a little early, late or non peak days. Of couse with Covid rules right now cusotmer traffic will probalby be less than normal so it is a good opportunity to experinece a great dining experience!
Give it a try….it is worth it!
Both of the main courses could have been a bit more moist .
The “sauce/veggie” under the halibut and the chicken dish were too salty. Our mouth were still salty two hours after the dinner.
We were seated in their outdoor patio on a warm June night. We felt we could have been in Europe. I find their Italian cuisine to be the best in Seattle. Delightful evening.
perfect al fresco meal!
nothing more to say!
Always a wonderful place to celebrate or just have a meal. Friendly staff and a convivial atmosphere. A Seattle favorite and perennial classic!!
Serafina is a beautiful restaurant with a great patio ambiance. Definitely recommend for a date night or gathering with friends!
Excellent food, friendly and professional service, great atmosphere. Couldn’t ask for a better spot for the first girl’s dinner in almost a year and a half!
Had a great dinner! Looking forward to going back again soon.
One of Seattle’s most consistent restaurants.
First meal here in quite a while. Really enjoyed every aspect, great food, service and wine. Great menu choices but I dd miss the old hard crust bread they used to serve.
Serafina is a very nice date-night restaurant. Our experience was overall great with a few modest imperfections. First, there is only one steak/beef entree option and it is a 14 oz. New York filet for $48.00. Both the price point is too high and the steak size too large for many diners. I recommend an option for an 8 oz. steak for about $30. Second, we ordered our steak medium and it came very rare. We had to send it back for further grilling to finish it to pink centre instead of red. the server gladly accommodated. Finally service, while very friendly, was a bit slow at times. Still, love Serafina, and we will be back for many more wonderful dinners!
Love this place! Good food and staff. A little pricey, so this is more of my go to special occasion place.
Great food, friendly and attentive service, very nice setting. What more can you ask for?
Great food, great patio, great service, great waiter, great desert...
We had a reservation for 4 people at 7:30 for outdoor dining. When we arrived we were told it would be a 20 minute wait for our table. We opted for table inside instead for faster seating. We watched servers going in and out to tend to patio guests passing our table constantly but never stopping to help or inquire with us. We had to flag servers down 5 or 6 times, our food took an hour, they forgot several items, had to as them to clear dirty dishes, and food was hit and miss. Overall very lackluster experience for such an iconic popular Seattle restaurant. In the end they realized we were unimpressed and their errors and comped us 3 appetizers. Server tried to step it up 2/3s through our 2.5 hour sitting which we appreciated both, but unlikely to return anytime again soon. I’ve lived in the Eastlake neighborhood nor 25 years and this is my common impression and experience of Serafina. Often just feels like there is a problem with managers, staffing, service, and inconsistency. I always want to like it but am reminded why there are so many other options out there. Sister restaurant Cicchetti has always been stellar for some reason.
I will be upfront before I go into detail, but I firmly believe that this establishment needs to re-train their employees to at least provide an experience associated w/how they present themselves online & the price. It was so bad that all we could do was laugh. My friend & I got different glasses of wine. I had a glass and my friend got a half bottle. Not unusual to assume that maybe we were drinking the same type, but what happened next I just can’t make up. We had an employee that came over and said absolutely nothing, picked up the half bottle & started pouring it into my glass - which was not the same wine. We politely stopped him and explained it wasn’t my wine - he put the bottle down w/out a word & walked away. About 20 minutes later, our server (who we had to stop) came over & I explain that my wine had been mixed with a different one & Asked for a new glass. No problem, she apologized. 1 hour & 15 mins later we got our entrees and they were less than desirable. Lasagna was burnt - STILL... we were trying to make the best of it. Another employee came by to top our waters off... large stretch over my entire body... again no words- startled me. I said thank you so he could stop pouring water, but he kept pouring and then continued pouring across the table to my friends glass. The table was covered in water LOL. On his long reach back off the table, he knocked the half bottle of wine over. Ok no big deal right? We were thinking they would replace the half bottle or give a glass to remediate the situation. WRONG. The waitress came back and gave me, not the person who’s half bottle spilled, a quarter glass of my wine. To top it off, the waitress went over desserts with the wine soaked menu while standing in the wine that was split. Nothing was cleaned up & it wasn’t until I started laughing that she recommended that she should get a new menu. Thankfully we could laugh at the experience but the lack of training and organization was incredibly disappointing.
Amazing food, excellent service, and great ambiance. I can't wait to go back.
First time here and will definitely be back. Service staffed seemed a little overwhelmed but they were all helping each other, all the tables seemed to be really enjoying themselves, the food was delicious, smaller selection of wines by the glass than I was expecting for an Italian restaurant but a decent enough selection regardless. We were able to have a spot on the patio and snagged the last remnants of the afternoon sunshine. Only complaint is that I live in Lynnwood and Serafina is in seattle.
Lovely, cozy outside dining and truly tasty food.
We had an outdoor table on their charming patio on Mother's Day. The attentive service and delicious selections on the special prix fixe menu made the occasion memorable.
Love Serafina, although previously only went for dinner. Food and drinks this time were good, not great. Great service. So-so ambiance, being seated in the sister restaurant.
As always, Serafina did not disappoint. My husband and I joined for their Mother's Day Brunch. Food was excellent, drinks suburb, and service was the best! The team there is caring enough to remember us as customers. It's a delight to dine with them, and such a cozy spot. We continue to return for our special celebrations!
Had a wonderful Mother’s Day brunch here. We love Serafina. Always wonderful service and wonderful food. We have going here for over 20 years!
We had a very enjoyable evening! Both of our servers were very attentive and spot on with everything!!! From our cocktail, champagne, appetizers, main and dessert.....all the flavours were amazing!!! We are so happy to be going back out dining inside!!! Looking forward to another dining experience at Serafina!
Always exceptional pasta, original dishes, professional staff, unique and charming surroundings. We love their consistency and have been patrons for years.
One of the best Italian restaurants , great food and amazing service.
We have been going to Serafina since 2016 and the food has always been amazing. We’ve been coming here for all special occasions from birthdays, anniversaries and out of town friends and family events. Unfortunately this last occasion was not the same standards that has always kept us coming back for more. I understand these have been very challenging times for us all, especially for the restaurant business but the food was not good. We ordered our usual rigatoni bolognese. The sauce was not a bolognese sauce. The sauce had too much pepper. The pasta was over cooked. I will not be rushing to Serafina’s anytime soon.
Always excellent food. Beautiful atmosphere and wonderful service. Go and enjoy.
Salad and Appetizers were good. Main course and desserts left a lot to be desired.
It was terrible. We had to wait 25 minutes to get our drinks. Food came late as well. Service was super, super slow. They also got our table wrong. We were supposed to be seated outside, but that somehow didn’t get input into our reservation. They ended up seating us in this weird corner table in the “hall,” where we were seemingly forgotten. It seemed like something was wrong with the staff. They were either super understaffed, have an inept floor manager, or both. We will never eat there again.
The food was quite good, but unfortunately that does not make up for everything else.
Anniversary. Always a good place to go, was hoping might get something special for our anniversary, but it was still a solid evening.
