Absolutely loved Senti! The food was mouth watering! I personally had the lasagna and it melted in my house! Delicious!
Chef Antonio's new burrato salad with squash and hazelnuts is a great addition to the Senti menu. I really enjoyed his special pappardelle with porchetta, tomatoes and eggplant. Holly helped us pick the perfect wine to accompany our dinners from the extensive wine list. Franco is a gracious host to all of his guests and makes each one feel special.
We had a wonderful meal, service was exceptional. My husband had the short ribs that melted in your mouth it was that tender. I had ordered one of the specials which was very good; however, I’d like to have seen a bit more eggplant in the sauce.
Overall, it was an excellent evening and we’ll be returning.
Great pasta, cooked to perfection. Very peaceful but we were there after 9:00 P.M.
This was our first visit to Senti. We chose Senti after reading about the restaurant through our Marriott Bonvoy membership. Our son is a CIA-trained chef who has worked for celebrity chefs in the US and abroad, so we are spoiled and picky when it comes to dining out. My wife and I are also accomplished home cooks with Italian roots. We are always looking for that one really great Italian restaurant that is both elegant and reminds you of your nonna's kitchen when you taste the food. Senti hit that mark.
We started with appetizers, a mixed greens salad and the mussels with spicy pork sausage, sweet peppers, fennel, white wine and accompanied with grilled Italian homestyle/crusty bread. The mussels were awesome, coming in a very large portion that could have been a meal in itself. Although the mixed greens salad presentation looked good on the surface and tasted very good with a nice dressing, the occasional encounter of a piece of soggy, water-spoiled leaves unfortunately left a bad first impression with us. We alerted the waiter and were not charged for the salad.
We ordered a pasta entre, roasted squash ravioli served with brown butter sage sauce and diced granny smith apples... superb! We wanted to test the house red sauces, so we shared a side dish of polpette in marinara sauce: lovely, light and perfectly seasoned meat balls with a great hand-prepared sauce. I ordered the brasato di manzo: short ribs braised in red wine served with red pepper compote and creamy polenta made with parmesan stock and prosciutto... fork tender and wonderful. I also ordered a side dish of the house-made gnocchi, but with pomodoro, not ragu sauce. The smooth, simple sauce topped with fresh basil was exquisite. We each had a glass of wine, an Abruzzo chardonnay and a Barbera d'Asti, both reasonably priced with lovely bouquets and finish.
To finish we shared the chocolate bread pudding with coffee creme anglaise. Wow! Senti exceeded our expectations. Bravo, Chef Scolari!
Relaxed atmosphere, excellent food — an overall enjoyable experience.
Excellent food and service. Our group of five people all raved about their luncheon choices.
Amazing service, from the second we stepped in the door, to the second we left. We had kind hosts, who even offered to take our coats, exceptional servers, and all the rest of the staff was super kind, helpful and outgoing. The food was out of this world. I feel as though you can’t go wrong with any menu item. Even the complementary bread was warm and perfectly seasoned. The appetizers, entrees, and desserts were all fantastic. And for as amazing as the quality of service and food are, you won’t find many other places that are so reasonably priced comparatively. And finally, the overall atmosphere was exceptional and classy. I give this place 5 out of 5 stars in every category, and recommend it to anyone looking for a great place to eat. I’d say it’s especially good for a special occasion or a special date night.
Always a great experience. From the initial greeting when you walk in the door, to the service, and the exceptional food. Comfortable, delicious, and delightful are just a few words to describe Senti!
Another outstanding experience at Senti! Excellent service, spot on wine recommendations with our meal and outstanding food. Always our go-to place!
Senti had a great atmosphere with outstanding service. I was baffled at how amazing our server was!
What a fortunate find for our one night stay in Pittsburgh. A little off the beaten path, but well worth it! You can always tell when the owner is from Italy. the restaurant has a very warm and welcoming atmosphere.
Food, service and cocktails were excellent!
Chose Senti from a list of Pittsburgh restaurants when planning an Anniversary dinner out with my husband. The atmosphere is very cool. Sophisticated. Two separate dining rooms--both really nice--with the bar in the middle.
I had the squash ravioli--very good. All the pasta offerings looked great. Husband got the braised short ribs. He said they were good but not the best he's ever had. Beans and greens might have been the best we've had.
I didn't know this restaurant even existed but we would definitely return.
It was our first trip to Senti which I have eyeballed for the past few years on the Best Restaurant list here in Pittsburgh - and now sorry I waited so long. Quite a treat with fabulous food and terrific service. My wife and I tried different wines, salads, appetizers, and sides as well as 2 tremendous pasta dishes - and were happy for the leftovers. Staff and ownership top notch!
This was our first visit to Senti. We were very impressed with the restaurant as a whole, and our food was very good. The burata was exceptional with the squash. The short ribs and polenta were excellent! I had the sea bass with farro and it was very tasty. Last but not least, we had the tiramisu. It was the creamiest and most delightful dessert. We will definitely return to Senti. Kudos to the chef and staff for creating such an awesome restaurant in Lawrenceville!
The service is always impeccable as is the food.
Service was fantastic, loved the artwork and great drink selection! Food was fantastic- portions could have been a little larger. Super fun place for a dinner out with neighbors. Highly recommend.
Senti always produces excellent food with excellent concepts. The range of wines available is a pleasure. This time, we had tagliatelle with lamb ragu. The noodles were just perfect, excellent bite. The lamb was delicious. BUT, someone had gotten carried away with the salt, which diminished the perfection.
the food was great and the wine/cocktail list is outstanding
great food and service , no happy hour, small bar , nicely decorated, very quiet , off street parking , extensive wine list , good for many occasions
The Barsotti wine dinner was excellent this past Sunday. Franco, Chef Antonio and Joe Barsotti created a perfect menu for the featured wines. The shrimp ,avocado and tomato opener was perfect with the bianco vino. The house-made cavatelli with pork ragu was seasoned perfectly for the rosso vino. The pairing of short ribs with an Anglianco vino was the feature of the dinner. The staff did a wonderful job of serving each course of the dinner. Bravo!
I always have a great experience at Senti! Def would recommend it to everyone. The food is delish, the owner is so great, and the staff is wonderful!
Food was delicious. Fresh pasta dishes were amazing (carbonara and squash ravioli). The Fish melted in your mouth and the flavors were sublime(salmon - 3 of us got it). The salads were unique and flavorful and a feast for the eyes(beet salad and watermelon radish salad). The speciality cocktails were all a revelation and left us wanting more(cinnamon girl, set phasers to stun). The staff was fantastic. Always heard it was packed on the weekends so we went on a Thursday. Not overly crowded, allowing us some time with the waitress to explain things and let us take our time. Overall, a great experience and would highly recommend to friends and can’t wait to come back. Cheers!
Another great night at Senti. The octopus pasta special was out of this world!!!!! Never disappointed at Senti!!!
Food, service and wine were excellent as usual! It was a bit loud due to large table next to us.
Great food very good service. Always enjoy going to Senti.
Delicious food and I really appreciated the table visit from the owner - shows that they care about their customers.
We took part in restaurant week's lunch special. We both thought the tomato bisque was amazing and the mushroom fettuccine was generously portioned and fresh and delicious. The tiramisu was also a good size and so good. We would go back to try other dishes. We enjoyed the jazzy background and the sleek white decor.
The food is excellent!

Great overall experience!
Always a delicious meal and wonderful dining experience!!❤️
We had a great time at Senti on New Year's Eve. Antonio worked his magic with the special menu featuring Salmon Tartare, Veal Osso Bucco and Black Sea Bass. Michelle did a wonderful job of serving our meal and we enjoyed after dinner drinks at the bar with Holly. As always, Franco and Annette were gracious hosts and we wish everyone at Senti "Buon Anno"!
We went early on New Year’s Eve. We were served quickly and the food was excellent.
Food was absolutely delicious! Great service! Great cocktails!! Wonderful!!
We run past Senti all the time and have always wanted to try it so we did. Our meals were very good. Nice sized portions but not too much. Service was good. When we arrived there were not too many tables filled (6:15) but by 7 there was not a seat to be had. Definitely go back again.
Our server was superb in her knowledge of both the food and wines. She was also expert at pacing etc. Everyone at our table of 4 seemed to enjoy their meals, though mine was so-so. I had the branzino and the skin could have been crispier and the fish itself lacked flavor. The vegetable soup, on the other hand, was fabulous.
An excellent interpretation of a holiday classic. All of the dishes were well executed and the staff were responsive.
Excellent Italian Restaurant!! Definitely recommend!!
