   It's been half a year since we last visited Senia and I must say, the great things still remain great. Our servers, "Jenya of Senia" and Christa greeted us warmly and were attentive, informative and efficient. I'm glad they lowered the price and size offering of their Smoked Ahi "Cigars." A couple of years ago, they were offering 4pcs as starters for $14. Last night, at $8, there were 2 pieces. In our situation, it was perfect. Hubby doesn't eat raw seafood; I do. I love sushi, sashimi and fish offered raw with dressing. The 2 pcs that came to our table was just enough to whet my appetite for the next course. Farmers Market Salad at Senia is always fresh, and refreshing. They serve only the freshest of seasonal vegetables that come from "field to table," as the saying goes. Hubby didn't care for their creamy dressing. For me, I enjoyed it. Vegetable dressing is something I am not usually picky about, as long as they compliment and enhance the flavor. Roasted bone marrow, another signature dish of Senia was enjoyed by the both of us. This is the only fine dining restaurant where we order roasted bone marrow because of the condiments offered and the great sweet Hawaiian rolls that come with it. To cleanse my palate, I asked for a dessert menu. Christa recommended the Yuzu Tart, but I had ordered it before and had been a bit disappointed because at that time, the server who recommended it said it tasted like key lime pie. I love key lime pie, so what was presented at the time, to me, anyway, did not taste like key lime pie, so I thanked Christa for her recommendation but told her my story. She then recommended the Lilikoi Bavarois, which was waaaaay more to my liking. Unfortunately, my husband liked it too, and I HAD to share it with him. Everything last night was a 5/5. Keep up the great work, Senia and staff!

   Very disappointed with our experience this evening. The ambiance is nice, and we expected to have great service and great food based on the reviews and photos we have seen. Service was average, not great, but not fancy restaurant quality. They expected us to order 4-5 of the plates for our party of 2, which seems misleading based on their menu. The food did not taste good and was definitely not worth the price. We cancelled the second round of food coming out, and were not asked if anything was wrong, just that they will see if the kitchen would be able to cancel it. We declined a box for the leftovers and still were not asked if anything was wrong. Not until after we had given our card to pay were we asked if anything was wrong. This restaurant wants to feel high-end and price themselves that way, but the service and food quality is not up to the standards that they pretend to be.

   Take it from a restauranteur, this place is wonderful. They do it all right, from flavors to portions to friendliness to presentation….and wonderful red Burgundy selection! Tough to ask for anything more. Can’t wait to go back and now been 3 times:)

   Fabulous food in downtown Honolulu, the neighborhood is a bit sketchy, but the restaurant, service and kitchen are top notch. Every dish (except one dessert) were not only presented beautifully, but delicious and well balanced. Highly recommended

   Amazing experience at the Chef’s Counter. Every dish was beautifully presented and an incredible composition of flavors. Highly recommended!

   Senia is a an outstanding experience. The ambience is stunning and service is first class The food is phenomenal and drinks a delight to match. Would highly recommend, a visit to Senia is an excellent idea!

    This was our second trip to Senia via our annual stay in Hawaii. Last year my beloved found this gem and booked an incredible birthday dinner. It was an absolute experience and Chef Anthony was able to share some great conversation with us while we admired the dedication and harmony of the entire staff at the chef counter. This year we returned and it was different, and equally incredible. Nick waited on us again and delivered a renewed level of service even while spending a lot of time helping the bar through a busy rush. We are so honored to be welcomed to Senia by everyone. The regular dining menu looked just as divine as last time and now we are torn if we give up the chef’s table next year to try out the “normal” dining service. Thank you Chef Anthony and team.
