Senia is one of Honolulu’s favorite restaurants for simply good food. We offer an à la carte menu with delicious, casual food made with exceptional craft. Chef Anthony Rush trained in multiple three Michelin-starred restaurants and creates beautiful dishes with passion and skill, but he believes everyday food should be delicious and well-crafted, too, so Senia was created to be a casual, affordable, neighborhood restaurant. We celebrate quality ingredients, creativity, classic techniques, and thoughtful hospitality. We welcome you in for dinner to share a meal with friends and loved ones in a comfortable, beautiful space.

If you are looking for a fine dining experience, we invite you to join us at our Chefs’ Counter for our award-winning Tasting Menu. With eight seats and one seating on Friday and Saturday nights, our Tasting Menu is exclusive and luxurious. It’s not all fancy on the weekends, though. We always offer casual dining and our à la carte menu in our main dining room.

The a la carte menu is top-notch on any night, but go for the tasting menu that won the Hale ‘Aina Award for Hawaiʻi's best tasting menu when you want to celebrate. You might find dishes like Kona kampachi with charred Asian pear or venison tartare with housemade naan, which shine in the elegant dining room with exposed brick walls and curved black-leather banquettes.

With only eight seats available, the Chefs’ Counter dining experience is exclusive and immersive, placing you in the vibrant kitchen environment and allowing you to interact directly with our culinary team. The tasting menu brings the talents of Chef Anthony Rush and his team into focus: sourcing the highest quality seasonal ingredients, preserving the purity and beauty of those ingredients, and collaboratively developing technique and composition. The results are original and inspired dishes, perfectly presented, and culminating as a beautiful and carefully considered gastronomic experience. The Tasting Menu is available Fridays and Saturdays at our Chef Counter with one seating at 6:30pm.

Join us for our casual à la carte menu with delicious dishes that highlight local ingredients and showcase the craft of cooking. The tasting menu was such a great experience. We also had the wine pairing so we had two great experiences that complimented beautifully. Watching everyone in the kitchen really enjoy what they do can really be felt in each dish that Chef created. Can’t wait to return!

We've been going to Senia since it opened nearly nine years ago, and each time they deliver an incredible meal and service. This most recent visit was no exception. We had the ahi cigars, mushroom and cheese tarts, scallops, gnocchi, and the cappelletti. A couple of drinks (the "Freddie" is my fav, but I also had their version of an old-fashioned) and a tart for dessert. Great food, great service, Senia is always a delight.

Did the 6:30 PM tasting menu at the counter for a group of 3. Really great experience being able to see the chefs work their magic and definitely appreciated the introductions to each dish when they were being served. The wine pairings were excellent and overall a truly enjoyable and delicious experience.

First the service was great. Very attentive. Second, the food…really really meh. We didn’t get any of the larger dishes so price wise it wasn’t too bad but almost everything we ordered had a weird flavor to them. The cigars are smoked so quite literally have a smoky flavor that just doesn’t compliment the ahi tuna in any favorable way. We got the corn fritters which were great but nothing a regular bar couldn’t do. For the plates; that’s where the real disappointment came. -Kampachi: visually stunning but nothing super flavorful and the kampachi wasn’t a huge amount so didn’t add any flavor to the dish. Bone Marrow: Prob the best dish. Most filling. The oxtail was great. The salts were whatever. The marrow though was in like a reusable bone. It wasn’t like carmelized bone marrow the way it should be prepared. Felt lazy. Grilled Romaine: Wasn’t soft and easy to cut the way grilled romaine should be. The buttery ‘dressing’ was so weird and too much. A salad should have a tangy flavor from the dressing. This tasted like a pool of butter on top of lettuce. I couldn’t eat it. Scallops: mind you I don’t love scallops to begin with. But if properly cooked by a restaurant, when they cut like butter and melt in your mouth, I can get down. This was not that. Hands down the worst dish. It was covered in hollandaise, which is gross to begin with. They sit on top of an egg white salad, which is cold. Who tf wants to eat a cold egg. The actual scallops were like seared only one one side, lacked flavor. Did not melt in the mouth and everything I hate about restaurants that try to have a scallop and cook it poorly. Sorry I would not recommend this place when the fab Fete is down the street. Great service like I said but nothing really worth it for the bad food.

The food was truly impressive and moved me. However, the behavior of the female staff member with braided hair and tattoos was extremely disappointing. She consistently showed a dismissive and disrespectful attitude, which made me feel as if I was being looked down on, perhaps because I am Japanese. I ordered sparkling water at the beginning, and it was poured into my glass. Despite the staff being the one who mixed up the glasses, still water was poured into my drink while I was still drinking it. When I pointed out the mistake, there was no apology. Instead, I was met with anger, as if it were my fault. We came to celebrate a birthday, and although the food was absolutely delicious, the experience left me feeling deeply uncomfortable and disrespected. The male staff member provided excellent service, which helped ease the situation somewhat. However, the poor service from that one staff member significantly diminished the overall experience. Such service does not match the quality of the food and should be addressed. The staff member in question also walked around the restaurant in an aggressive manner, which disrupted the calm atmosphere of the place. It was a truly unfortunate part of an otherwise wonderful evening.
