I made RSVP a month in advance. I informed them to be seated by the windows and I’m celebrating a birthday. The moment, we arrived, we got seated elsewhere and was asked what the occasion was multiple times. It killed the surprise mood. But overalls, the staff was very friendly and the food was okay.

One of the best dining experiences I have experienced in San Diego in a long while! The ambiance is romantic and still great with your best girlfriends! The space and view are just beautiful and I highly recommend sitting in the outdoor patio. The food was just as amazing as our server Max. He really made our girls night out memorable and I will be coming back to request his top notch service and attention. The Sommelier also made great recommendations and we loved all the wine brought to the table. We will be coming back to enjoy this place again!

I want to be fair in writing this review and say that I came back here with my friends as a 2nd try after a not so great experience the first time. But the crew at Seneca went above and beyond and made up for the past. The ambiance is one of the best you'll get in San Diego. The food came out in a timely fashion and was beyond delicious. The wait staff and hostess and bussers were attentive and genuinely hospitable. Shout out to Kate and Julio who made our experience top notch. Highly recommend the arancini and the prawns! Overall an amazing dinner at Seneca!

Fabulous and well taken care of. The starter salad is amazing as it has seasonal fruit which this time was nectarines. The truffle anc were perfectly flavored not heavy. The eggplant dip was so decadent and the bread was just grilled enough but not overly crunchy, soft enough. The ox tail lasagna was surprisingly wonderful rich and different. The drinks were yummy well balanced. The lavender chocolate dessert was stunning palette finisher. (I’m not a big chocolate person but it was amazing

Easily the worst birthday dinner I've ever had. Our server was so sweet and kind, but the rest of our experience was awful. My wife and I ordered wine, pizza and pasta. The cabernet was sour, the pizza tasted like warm cardboard, and the bolognese taste like dog food with hard noodles. I love all the Consortium properties but the food at Seneca was just bad. To top it off they sat us in a uncomfortable table in between two large loud parties. We had no view, no ability to have a conversation. I would'nt recommend this place.

This is one of the coolest restaurants downtown. If you like a cool ambiance with fine Italian food, this is the spot. As soon as you walk in everyone seems to want to serve you and is in a cheerful mood. I felt a genuine welcome as soon as I walked in. We had pizza, focaccia bread, tiramisu wine, mocktails and coffee. Even the plates are legit porcelain from England. Don’t forget to wash your hands in the bathroom before eating. They really picked the right building materials and the feeling is sexy once you use it. The view is amazing and it’s really a nice place for date night or to just try something new. Highly highly recommended and don’t forget to tip em good. I’ll be back.

I requested a window table for our special occasion and they sat us at probably the worst table in the restaurant. It was right in the middle of the entrance with everyone walking around us. I asked the hostess if there was another table available and she simply said, “no”. We saw at least 3 window tables available that stayed open for some time before being occupied. Our reservation was at 5:00, which I thought was early enough to avail a proper table.

Evening to celebrate birthdays Very hood however when left all we could focus on was why they charged a dollar for an ice cube in a cocktail The level of restaurant it is a very tacky and left money pinching effect on us so know instead of talking how great the restaurant can be we we’re talking negatively. I would recommend you seriously revive this

Great experience at Seneca. Came here for my dads birthday and they had Happy Birthday printed on our menu’s. Our server also brought out a dessert with a candle at the end of our meal. All the food was great and I was really happy with where we were seated. Highly recommend

We booked this restaurant for our 1 year anniversary. We requested outdoor, if possible. We were greeted by the host saying Happy Anniversary, and were seated outdoors. When we sat down the waitress brought our menus and said Happy Anniversary as well. When we looked at the menus they printed "Happy 1 year anniversary" on the menus. It made my wifes day, we had no idea nor did I request this. Their attention to detail and customer service is truly outstanding. ALL OF THE FOOD WAS AMAZING. I don't say this lightly, we tried 8-10 different! On top of everything the views and ambiance were incredible. I wish I could give this place higher than 5 stars.

Bolognese was okay. Not different to microwave pasta from a store. Pizza was burnt at crust and soggy in the middle. We didn’t eat more than one slice. Out waiter offered us water but turns out, we had to pay $9 for the bottle. He conveniently forgot to add that free tap water was an option. If you’re going, get the focaccia and enjoy the views.
