   The staff was great upon entry and wished us a happy anniversary. We sat at the chefs table, which we always recommend. The food was fantastic as always and came out promptly. This is out of character for Selden, but the music choice was too aggressive for the evening - techno straight out of a 2000s movie. Our waiter also didn’t checked in on us during our meal so we didn’t get a chance to order wine with our meal. Not a big deal, just out of character for the service and ambiance we usually experience at Selden.

   Everything was top notch. The service style is excellent and rarely leaves you with things on your table you don't need. The food is delicious and fun. I highly suggest going with the flow and ordering several dishes and sharing them all.

   Amazing culinary experience-friendly staff that pays excellent attention to detail, wonderful cocktails and the food was terrific. We look forward to visiting again!

   We've been to Selden Standard about a half-dozen times, including for my retirement party. The food is as good as any I've eaten anywhere, and I've been in many cities in many countries. The mushrooms they served Linda and me last night were just great. If we'd ordered four plates of just those we'd have gone home full and happy! But we also ordered the cauliflower, the charred sweet potato, and the walleye (before having desert). The walleye was also tremendously good; ditto the sweet potato. The cauliflower was a half-step behind its veggie cousins, but still very good. For desert we shared the "pudding cake," and that was the least successful dish. Certainly tasty, and an ample serving, but I wouldn't order it again. (I think I had the "Pavlova" rhubarb desert last time and loved it.) All in all, we were very happy with the occasion - it was Linda's birthday! - and we'll be back soon.

   Blown away by the amazing food. We ordered 7 different things on the menu and one was better than the next. Great cocktails and wine. Allison was an amazing server. Will definitely be back if we ever find ourselves in Detroit again!

    This is one of my favorite restaurants. Service was very good considering it was a Saturday 7pm reservation. Food was excellent, we had 8 different dishes, but staff had no time to chat or tell you much detail about the food preparation. Still one of the best places in the city. I would definitely recommend this restaurant.
