Seaweed Steaks, Seafood & Sushi
Dishes are prepared in three separate areas; the main kitchen, the sushi bar and the raw bar. Rather than offering individual starters and main courses, Seaweed serves dishes that are designed to be shared at the table or enjoyed individually, and are brought to the table continuously throughout the experience.
From the moment we pulled in to your restaurant until the moment we left, everything was absolutely perfect, as I knew it would be. The ambiance was very nice, our server was amazing and very knowledgeable of the menu and answered all our questions, Dinner...….super delicious.
I savored every bite and was tempted to lick my plate! I also must compliment your amazing bathrooms, so well put together and very impressive. Seaweeds is definitely my new favorite restaurant and I've already recommended it to many people.
We’ve been there twice, once for dinner, once for brunch. Both times the service was very attentive and the food was great, especially the chicken and waffles. Very nice, contemporary atmosphere as well as outdoor dining. Our waiter Alexander and waitress Laura were friendly and helpful.
We got there early in the day and the music was too loud for the number of people in the restaurant. Food was ok. We had the steak and eggs. Steak had a lot of character. Good flavor but tough to cut. This is twice that my eggs, first time was an omelette and this time I tried the eggs sunny side up, had hard crispy edges and bottom surface. I think the cooking surface is too hot for eggs. If you don’t like that hard crispy edge and bottom on your eggs I would try one of he other brunch items. The side pancake and the wheat bread used for the toast are very good.
Very creative, excellent dining, owned by the same folks that own the Island Grill. If you’ve been there you get the quality. (They have their own fishing fleet so what you get is super-fresh.). Ambiance at Seaweed is a bit cozier, very comfortable. Very creative too...seafood with an Asian flare. We shared Snapper “Wings” (the side fins) for an appetizer, then my wife had amberjack, and I the Yellowtail (fish d’jour). With a side to share of delectable fried cauliflower we left very happy (and full—a lot of food! No room for dessert. We also didn’t get to try the sushi—we will be back for that soon.
Outstanding dining experience all around. One of our new favorites.
Fresh, fast & delicious, Best sushi around!
Quality of food has dropped. Service is still good .Will not be going back.
Great service from Will. Enjoyed shrimp cocktail, interesting kale salad, filet and grouper. Great selection wine by the glass with reasonable prices.
We thought the food and the ambiance were wonderful. The patio was lovely. Service was slow - it took a long time to get water and an ice bucket for a bottle of white wine. We found the service in general was a bit unprofessional. It doesn’t need to be formal, but it does need to attentive. Servers were talking/chatting amongst themselves in ear shot and the tables and chairs were packed up and secured around us as tables emptied and we were finishing our meal. We weren’t the last people there - there were still a number of tables inside.
We have been here numerous times and this time was not the best performance.
While it was a busy Friday night the kitchen was not up to the normal standards. The server do a nice job trying to keep up.
Calamari was excellent as always and arrived within a very reasonable amount of time ((15-20)minutes.
The snapper wings (while are one of our favorites) took way tong (25-30) minutes
The steak skewers come out in 5 minutes
We ordered medium rare came out well done
Overall much less than we had come to expect from previous visits
Definitely room for some improvement
Seaweed has never disappointed us. Great happy hour with good martinis and wine. The seafood is absolutely delicious. Our service has always been fantastic.
Sushi was fresh & tasty. Calamari & scallops were excellent, as were the Idaho fries. And French Natalie was delightful!
Very good server (Carly). Loved the Snapper Wings. Fun evening.
Food is great, love the presentation and variety of tastes, the restaurant has become one of our favorites.
Service was on time and courteous. Food was very good..... sushi..... Drinks made properly. Will was a good waiter and outside seating was in evening shade. Overall a wonderful experience.
Love the manager, Robin. Super attentive service and fresh/delicious food! Thier craft cocktail menu is a must!!
Unique and different foods Cauliflower grilled Cheese!! Spicy grilled oysters. Great Sushil Try this place. A very pleasant surprise that was fun, tasty and worth the trip. (we traveled about 35 mi to check it out - will do it again)
The service was awful. Waited 15 minutes after being seated to be offered a drink. Had to ask for several things multiple times when the waiter did bother to stop by the table. People around us got up and left because no one waited on them. Another table complained to the manager- the waiter heard about the complaint and had a tantrum with some other staff right in the dining room. He offered us a free dessert for the bad service- we declined and he told us we could leave the tip section of the bill blank. It’s too bad because the food was pretty good.
Scott amd John were excellent, brunch was delicious and perfect portions!!!
Great food beautiful presentation, fabulous server and service!
We enjoyed our experience very unique menu great service will return
We generally dine outside and love the ambiance you have created. It is such fun to visit you.
Newer restaurant, maybe still working out kinks. We had crab legs, grouper and salmon, along with sushi appetizers and bao buns. Nothing was bad, but nothing was noteworthy enough that I’d want to have it again.
Food was amazing. Portions on the smaller side. Amazing cocktails. Coming back tomorrow night!
This was the first time going to Seaweed. We brought our daughter with us who was visiting from out of town. We all enjoyed it . The food presentation was very good along with the quality of the food. Our waitress Carley was excellent making our evening extra special!
The food was fantastic. Had the best margherita I have ever had. Seaweed specialities were fantastic as well as our turf selections. Service should have been more knowledgeable about the ingredients in the meal to be more helpful. But overall a fantastic experience that we look forward to having again.
Service was great. Natalie (tall slender blonde) was as cheery, accommodating, and helpful as always!
Sushi, sashimi and oysters were fabulous. Dinner was fine, just nothing spectacular (we both had the grouper). Waiter needs a little more work, but the service was OK. Overall we really liked Seaweed and will definitely go back and try out some more dishes!
Delicious food and excellent service by Matt.
Our waiter was Chris. We asked if the hogfish was real hogfish and were told that it was, but if it wasn’t, it tastes just like it. Our oysters and crab were served with dinner forks and one small dish of butter to share between two people (at $55 per dinner). The king crab was dry and rubbery. We asked for more butter and lemons, and got the lemons. We asked about small seafood forks and were told they didn’t have any.
We have patronized Marlin Darlin and Salt Rock for 20 years and expected the same quality here.
We went to the restroom and observed a food manager who did not wash her hands after using the facility. We will not make a return trip to Seaweed.
Menu and food has gotten better. Service is still subpar ... Still not impressed. For a Friday night it was not packed ... unless E&E next door has a 1 hr wait. Manager that walks around is annoying. Drinks expensive. Still not impressed.
Birthday dinner for my husband’s 71st birthday. We had a party of 6. First time trying sushi........fabulous. The entire staff, atmosphere, noise level, dining experience, drinks and dinner was top notch. Appetizers and main entrees could not have been better. The flavor was exactly as we expected it to be. We have been coming to this area for 12 years, and are thrilled to have a restaurant of this caliber here. Definitely will be a go-to place for us. Thanks to all!
That had to be the worst meal I have ever had, the food was not cooked and nothing had any flavor, including the side of vegtables. On top of it all, the chief argued about how that is the way the scallops were cooked is the way they are to be served. very rude and non-professional. The scallops were not even served whole, they were cut into pieces. Will never go back and will not recommend it to anyone.
We had Natalie, the French one, as our server and our experience was fantastic!! We never felt rushed and the courses came only when we were finished with the preceding one. This was our first time there of many to come. Great food too! 10/10 as a whole for sure!
We had a wonderful waiter, named Matt. I was struggling to make a sushi decision and he could not have been more helpful. He suggested the "special" sushi for the evening and it was the best I have ever had! I am not a big rice fan and this selection had a very tiny amount. Matt was also cordial, attentive and kept in touch with our table of 6 throughout the entire meal. All 6 of us enjoyed our meal!
Fresh seafood..I love their fresh oyster choices. Freshly shucked.
Overall the experience was really nice. The drink with the dry ice was very interesting. I chose to go with the Hogfish Snapper with the sweet potatoes and the Citrus cream sauce. I think this pairing was slightly unusual although it sounded good on paper. The mild Hogfish did not stand up to those sweet potatoes. The citrus cream sauce was cold resulting in a thick skin on the surface. Sushi was good but not great. My favorite two items were ironically the cauliflower and the oysters manchego.
Great vibe, terrific fusion/Asian, steak and seafood dishes. Well prepared food, good wine list, try it for a slightly upscale experience.
Robin the manager makes the experience that much more enjoyable.
Waitress nataliegh was outstanding Fresh mahi what is the best I have had in Florida yellowtail sashimi was good but not as good as some other places
