We have come here the past 2 Christmas Eve's. The restaurant seems understaffed. For the holidays. The waiter was terse and unfriendly. The service was extremely slow. I never had my water glass refilled. Food was okay not fabulous. The price is expensive. In contrast I have come for lunch when it is quiet and had excellent service and food.

When we need a nice restaurant to go to for a "fancy" meal, we go to Jeffrey's. The food is consistently good, the staff friendly and attentive and the setting pretty. We had our 3rd Thanksgiving dinner here and the food was excellent.

It started right away as we sat down with the bus boy joking that he had just cleaned this table. and telling us that the bread would take some time to come out of the oven. as we sat there the restaurant felt plain and dated. very hollow. having a live band playing made it worse with an increased noise level, for which they did not even play very well. We ordered drinks, and the specials (dry erase) board was presented to us with a disclosure that they had run out of the steak entree. my immediate thought was to erase it then. we asked what else was good, and the waiter was pushing the high dollar items. i ordered the new england tilapia tomato chowder (special) -it was like a water based soup and had no flavor. was not special at all. followed by the house made raviolli filled with spinach, asparagus, portobello mushrooms, mascarpone and parmesan cheeses in a zesty pomodoro sauce. yikes if i wanted to eat a pizza i would have ordered a pizza. i did add the sea scallops which was probable the only good part but still soaked in that sauce. as we tried to assertively ask for the check, the waiter continued to promote dessert or more drinks. he could tell we were not satisfied but made no attempt to justify our displeasure. kindly enough i will not return to this restaurant nor would i recommend anyone else to

Ambiance and service were very nice. View over the salt marsh out the back windows makes it a very nice lunch location. My lamb was perfectly done, but my wife's roast duck was very dry, and could have easily been supplanted by a dry roast chicken. All the more disappointing because she herself makes a great roast duck. I would recommend something other than the duck on the menu. Otherwise nice restaurant.

We ordered off the price fix menu for Restaurant Week and all of us enjoyed our meals very much. We had some special needs (gluten allergy) and the server was very willing to do his best to get the kitchen to accommodate this. The service was excellent, the food was delicious and all four of us were very pleased, including our gluten person.

Very pretty. Very nice food with good service. It was a pleasant surprise as we found this restaurant on our way to Foxwoods. It is definitely worth the stop.
