Great experience. The food was outstanding!
Especially the vegetarian offers
This restaurant serves outstanding food! We had the corn soup, pork ribs, duck confit and striped bass. All were excellent! Our server Paulina was also terrific! I would say the only surprising thing was the pace, a little faster than we were expecting re meal segment delivery, but it may have been our expectations. Highly recommend! They are well set up to serve outdoors in all weather too.
This was our first time at Season to Taste. Every dish we had was exquisite. Our welcome was very warm and the service extremely friendly. We were grateful for outdoor pod seating that was Covid-safe and would have sheltered us in case of rain. We appreciated the very quick service, and the food was all perfectly prepared, but there could perhaps have been a bit more ceremony -- we were in and out in 50 minutes flat. But all in all a really wonderful restaurant which we look forward to returning to often.
Wonderful food, in a relaxed and comfortable setting. Very private / romantic, and a very safe set-up
Great place for a nice dinner out. Outdoor seating underneath tents was perfect, and the food was excellent. A steak for me and gluten-free vegan tamales for my wife- we were both happy!
Great service! Delicious food. Recommend the ribs app, rigatoni, and scallops.
Hanger steak was disappointing had huge chunks of tendon that were not chewable in them
Food and service wonderful!
Outdoor dining set up intimate, dry, & climate controlled, even during Tropical Depression Ida (individual table) tall oiled canvass “tents”.
Yet it’s on side walk 1/2 block from intersection with busy intermitente traffic.
We ate outside, and even though it was raining, the tent kept us completely dry and oblivious to the showers. This was perhaps our tenth visit over the last few years and as usual, the food was amazing.
Came to celebrate a med school graduation. Based on other reviews I expected to be blown away and for the price point I was honestly a little disappointed. Some of the food was great: the burrata, ribs, and duck confit were all fantastic. The Lobster Campanelle was pretty flavorless in my opinion. The cheesecake and truffle fries were good, nothing to write home about. Service was fine and attentive, but no insights into the menu or suggestions were offered (but would have been appreciated). Probably won't return, unfortunately.
The halibut crudo starter was excellent. The portion is small but worth it. The striped bass and halibut entrees were also excellent. They were cooked perfectly, but the sauces made the dishes.
My new favorite restaurant - stunning food and friendly atmosphere
some flies flying about during the meal; service outstanding; meal was very good
Really good food and good service. I will definitely come back next time I am in Cambridge.
This was a fantastic meal all around. Kudos to the server who braved torrential rain with a smile and a sense of ease to bring us some of the best cooked food we'd had in quite some time. The Lobster Campanelle was like summer on a plate highlighting peak season corn, cherry tomatoes, fresh peas, and of course the lobster! My husband had the halibut with green curry sauce that was a burst of flavor with just enough heat to let you know you were eating a true curry. Thank you for a wonderful experience!
Selected this restaurant based on other reviews, but I was disappointed. Service was poor, borderline rude. Inattentive, forgetful, slow, strange pacing - e.g. took a long time to come take our drink order, food arrived quickly, but no drinks. Food was good - perhaps would recommend for takeout, but eat-in service was a meal-ruiner.
Would highly recommend Season to Taste for a special occasion dinner. Fresh ingredients and thoughtfully curated menu. The outdoor cabanas are good for a quiet conversation, as well.
I searched for something unusual and Season to Taste is exactly that. The outside seating is like sitting in an open tent. That is fine, the draw back is that the restaurant sits on a busy commercial street so the traffic is part of the experience. The inside is a cut little place so if you are not worried about COVID, sit inside. I ordered something with no idea what I would get. It was a pleasant surprise. I liked it. My date ordered a dish she had had before and seemed unimpressed. I didn't interview her on the subject because the point of the date was to let her relax after a busy week.
We had a wonderful dinner in a private covered outdoor space. While the space was on the busy Massachusetts Ave., being in a covered cabana like space made it cozy and reasonably quiet. The service was excellent and attentive. The four of us split the starters of "house pickles" and plantains which were very large portions. Both were very good. We split the beet salad, plenty for the 4 of us. We each had different main courses all of which were excellent and quite large portions. The accompaniments which each main course were well chosen. I would definitely return.
We celebrated our anniversary at Season to Taste, and truly enjoyed our experience. The good was very flavorful and delicious! We would definitely recommend this restaurant!
Anniversary dinner for my wife and me. The food was outstanding. The atmosphere was modest and very comfortable. The wait staff was great. A little pricey for us (but we are "country folk").
Fabulous birthday meal. Our table was outside and we felt like we were in a cabana. Their outdoor design is great and perfect for meals during covid. The waitstaff was great and very accommodating. We will definitely go back.
A. Mazing. So worth the wait to get in and the food and wine! Service! Outdoor space!! Very special. Not an everyday meal - one worthy of true celebration.
The food was very good even if a bit pricey. What is sorely missing is an espresso machine.
We had a fantastic meal add season to taste. The food and service was absolutely top-notch. If I had any complaints, it would just be very minor in terms of some of the value of what you got for the prices. Everything was absolutely delicious, but there were some dishes that I felt were a little small given the price. This would not in any way stop me from going back and ordering those dishes again, because the flavors and presentation were absolutely fantastic
Lovely meal with many nods to lush summer produce and gifts from the sea. Excellent wine list to complement the menu. innovative starters and mains + generous portions not always found in this category of restaurants. We sat in one of the outdoor cabanas which was private, safe and provided excellent shelter from the summer storm that blew in. I'd highly recommend a night out at Season to Taste or a special occasion or a treat for yourself and a special someone.
Bravo Season to Taste! so glad you're still here!
Absolutely delicious and thoughtfully-made food. It was a perfect spot for our anniversary dinner!
Each table was separated by curtains which gave huge privacy. Honey glazed ribs were good and burrata cheese with toasts was also great. I loved the hanger steaks.
Best food! Great service! Try the gnocchi and the scallops!
I love everything about the restaurant, was perfect. but I think Needs options like diet coke in their menu
Very good service, staff very nice and helpful, the food high quality and nice place.
We had a fantastic meal here...wonderful combinations of flavors and textures. Heartily recommend!
We eat at Season to Taste about every 2-3 months and it is always amazing. This dinner managed to even top our previous experiences. We are still talking about the burrata and lobster campanelle days later!
The food was absolutely delicious!! From the unusually prepared ribs and salads for appetizers to the fabulous dinner entrees, we all LOVED what we ordered. The service was delightful and sitting outside in our own individual curtain defined space was perfect! We look forward to coming back!
The truffle fries were to die for. Should have given us the heads up that pickles etc was a huge portion. Felt bad about leaving so much. Should be a 4 person share. Very nice dinner but not as memorable as I would have expected.
The Bibb salad, marinated olives, Statler Chicken, and chocolate torte were all excellent. Nice service. Excited to learn about the restaurant expansion too.
We had a wonderful time at season to taste- food was delicious , the wait staff was great. I would highly recommend it! It is very small with only 10 tables and they’re all separated from each other giving you lots of privacy
The food was fantastic. Very tasty with interesting ingredients. The portions are rather small but I prefer that myself. We sat outdoors in a really cool private tent like enclosure. I would highly recommend it!
