Season To Taste is a neighborhood restaurant with covered patio tables outside, each equipped with fans, and semi private tables inside. Our frequently changing a la carte menu utilizes locally-sourced ingredients and features Chef Robert Harris' globally-inspired flavors ( we no longer offer a four course tasting menu). We serve small producer/ minimal-intervention wines and local craft beers.
Due to the small size of our restaurant, guest have a 90-120 minute window in which you may occupy the table for your meal. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation with this.

Free Parking at Bright Horizons, 2465 Mass ave. Cambridge has removed all metered parking and loading zones on Mass ave, so this is also the best address to get dropped of if traveling by ride share.

If you need to cancel your reservation we do ask for 24 hours notice, and you can reach us to do so at 617-945-9535.

The food is excellent -- interesting and flavorful. Each outdoors table is surrounded by a canvas tent-like structure, with a sun umbrella outside the entrance, and a circulating fan within each table's enclosure. We were there on a 90 degree day and it was shaded and remarkably comfortable. Some time ago we were there on a cool day when it was raining, and that worked well too. You're on Mass Ave, but there's a sidewalk and bike lane between you and the traffic, and the tables feel quiet and private. Kudos to whoever set up the outdoors seating! (Indoors seating is also well-spaced with tall canvas dividers between tables.)

Appetizers were large and tasty. We had the crab cake, tuna crudo, and pork belly. BUT, the entrees were not good at all. My boyfriend’s scallops were few in number and VERY salty. Almost inedible. My mother’s Campanelle pasta with lobster was disgusting. The pasta was so overdone that it was swollen and mushy. And there was maybe a tablespoon of lobster in the entire dish. I had the steak and it was tasteless and way over cooked. They covered it with blue cheese and that’s the only reason I could eat any of it. My dad’s schnitzel looked good and he said it was just ok. Not much taste. My advice, stick to appetizers if you choose to dine here!

My partner and I enjoyed a delicious meal here! #1 thing to mention: if you like bread (and let’s be honest, who doesn’t?) the Cheddar Thyme Biscuit with honey butter was super yummy. I’m still thinking about it. My partner got the steak, that included a very fun fried potato cube, and lemony greens. I got the Oyster Mushroom Arepa, which was incredibly tasty. We finished the meal with the Earl Grey Panna Cotta, which was topped with the sweetest kumquats I’ve ever had. So good. The wait-human was a sweetheart and big help on a nice bottle of wine as well. Overall very enjoyable.

The food was really really delicious and of high quality ingredients!!! Wonderful wine list with some unusual and interesting offerings! Our waiter Jesse was super nice and attentive! Would love more candle light on the tables for ambiance… will go back for sure The porchetta appetizer with sauerkraut was a succulent, unctuous flavorful piece of meat !!! Highly recommend

Almost everything we ordered was not available. We were not told when we were seated that this was the case. We looked over the menu, made our selections and when we ordered were told that these choices were not available. The same with the wine. In fact, when we were told a particular kind of wine was not available we asked what they would suggest as a second choice. The wine they suggested was much more expensive than the one we had selected. A responsible sommelier would have offered that wine at the price of the wine we had chosen, which was not available. No such offer was made. The waitress was so stressed out because obviously this was not her fault but she was the messenger. An overall bad experience, especially as this was my husband's birthday.

For a place recommended as farm to table, the taste and creativity fall short of comparable culinary experience. We had gnocchi and beef tarter for starters and two fish entries, all were just OK. While the redfish was delicious the root vegetable that came with it made it an ultra dry dish, lacking basic imagination. Service was barely OK, nothing outwardly nice or friendly, but a no-eye contact efficiency. The upside is that for an experiment that had gone wrong for us, we didn't have to pay an arm and leg. The place is relatively inexpensive. But I would much rather pay more to have something memorable.

In short borderline disappointing. The biscuit, something easy, was lacking salt and had no cheddar flavor despite being advertised that way. The gnocchi were dense, and just not appealing. The porchetta was excellent, and would order it again happily. The foie gras torchon was too small and the date compote could not be eaten with the foie gras as it overpowered it completely. I left some pieces of the crust on the crab cake on my plate so that the kitchen could see it black, though the interior of the crab cake was fine, as was the salad that surrounded it. Up and down. I can name 5 restaurants in same price range back in Harvard Square/Central Square that are better, so will go back to them, not here.

I rarely write restaurant or any types of reviews. But it was such a disappointment yesterday evening at Season to Taste. I feel I have to write one. The food tasted mediocre at the best except the pork belly appetizer. For the entrees we ordered, Quail was heavily battered like a piece of KFC if not worse, pork schnitzel was flavorless with a home depot smell, and campanelle was no better than a ordinary pasta from a shopping mall or airport food court. We had excellent previous experience when it had a different name called The Table and last year under the current name. We thought we might not ordered right items this time. So we wanted to add another entree Scallops. To our surprise we were told by the wait staff there was another reservation after us so it had to be a to go if we ordered. Obviously we didn’t order. Then she came back with a container asking if we wanted to box anything without checking if we want any dessert. We were there for only one hour and twenty minutes. We understand it’s a busy holiday weekend. But is it a good idea for a restaurant to make its patrons feel being pushed to leave?

A delightful culinary journey! We loved the steak tartare, gnocchi, porchetta and quail. The panda cotta was a perfect way to end a wonderful meal. You can tell Chef uses the highest quality local and some foraged ingredients. The wine list is limited, but well focused on some excellent old world and natural wine producers. All the selections are curated to pair well with the cuisine. Service was adequate and friendly. I recommend Season To Taste and look forward to returning in the future.

I would have given it better for service but the waitress actually came up to us when we were finishing our meal (after being at the table for an hour and a half) and told us that the next party for our table had arrived, which was really poor form in my estimation because seating (especially when we have no more covid dining restrictions) is never the customer’s problem. My meal was very good (scallops) but my husband got the lamb and he was less than impressed with the combination of flavors they created between the meat, a link of sausage and a parsnip cake, which he felt competed against one another and didn’t highlight the lamb well.

We went to Seasons to Taste a year before the pandemic and it was fantastic. This time was quiete disappointing, it didn't seem the same place. We arrived 8:30, restaurant was empty not a good sign since this was during 2022 graduation week. The appetizers were very good, but we had to return all the entries: lamb was dry and cold, scallops were "fishy". Our server was very kind and apologetic so all the good starts go for her. Will never return and will not recommend.

We have been to Season to Taste several times. The experience had always been very good. This time, I felt the experience just okay. The reason for this change is: 1. Service was a little slow. It took more time than we expected for the server to attend to us. 2. Starters were both good in size of portion, but the Gnocchi was a bit oily. The main dishes were just good, not great. The Spinach Pasta noodles were a little over-cooked (too soft) and the lamb was a little tough (chewy). The desserts were mixed, the Panna Cotta was delicious, but the Apple Crisp was a bit dry, much less apple that the pastry crisp.

Very creative excellent food that is not pretentious. I had the Wild Mushroom Shepard's Pie and it was delicious. I am not Vegan or Vegetarian and without doubt this would be my first choice if I came again. My husband and son had the lamb which they thoroughly enjoyed. Our waiter was friendly and helpful. The outdoor pods were creative and cosy if a bit utilitarian.
