One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. And the service was excellent too. I already booked our next reservation to go back. The ribs, burrata, duck and mahi mahi were all so so good!

Really impressed with the food - It's on the pricier end for the area but you do get what you paid for. Had the Bone Marrow for an appetizer which was really good and the duck as my entree which was perfectly cooked and seasoned. My date had the Mahi Mahi which she shared with me and that was great as well and had a unique hint of curry to it that really elevated the dish. Would come back!

What a gem! We were so grateful to find a restaurant to celebrate my fiancés birthday at safely with regards to covid. We were alone in our own outdoor protected booth and could not have felt safer. Food was delicious and Jesse was a great server!

Loved and appreciated the tent outside in January. We were dressed in ski clothes and comfy! Our server was delightful.
Starters were really good. Mains were fine.

Compliments to the chef for creating an amazing menu and ambience. We had our anniversary dinner here and chose to sit outside on the little private nook in the patio due to Covid, we were a bit skeptical of the cold (Dec 29 in Boston) but the heated lamp did the trick and the curtain really helped keep the heat in. Very very cozy.

We absolutely loved the wine and the list is pretty extensive. We had the gnocchi, the bone marrow, roasted carrots for starters. The carrots and marrow were excellent and the gnocchi was delish. The maitake mushrooms in the gnocchi were incredibly delicious.

For the main course my husband had the braised short ribs and I got the mahi mahi. I loved loved the mahi mahi. My husband thought the ribs were delicious, but a tad under seasoned.
Our dessert was such a delicious 😋 one, we had buttermilk panna Cotta with raspberry coulis and pistachios. Yum-yum.

Plating was really great and you could see that the chef put his heart into cooking the dishes. Our server Paulina was really very sweet. Recommend this place!

This place is ok. Food was really hit or miss. Duck leg was really good but short ribs were very average. Tamale didn’t taste so good either but Bone marrow was very tasty.

I also don’t like how the tips are set as 20% as the lowest. As there weren’t much service and food was ok.

So sorry that you left disappointed with our food. As you can see from a few other recent reviews, we have had a rough couple of days in the kitchen. Rest assured I have taken corrective action and we will be back at our usual 5 star review level when reopen next Monday. I hope you will give us another chance and wish you a safe holiday.

Service and ambience excellent, but just didn’t care for the food at all. Seasonings just didn’t seem to work for us. Had the carrots which had been so highly recommended- room temperature and without flavor. Gnocchi were heavy and didn’t like the sauce. Ribs appetizer was good, braised short ribs entree, was nothing special and also lacking flavor. REALLY wanted to love it and went with high expectations. Very disappointing.

Lets start by saying that I really, really wanted to like this place. This is in our neighborhood, we've been several times. Won't be back. There is absolutely no value in this restaurant, and I don't mean price. I pretty regularly drop a huge amount on dinner. What i mean is, my dinner was $35 short rib, and it was awful. It was literally the size of half a bowl of cereal, and it was basically three pieces of beef the size of a quarter, extremely overcooked (how do you even overcook shortribs) and a few pieces of carrots, and some broth. I don't really care how big it was, honestly, but to call that a "Shortrib Entree" is pathetic. It was way past well done, and the carrots were soggy, and it was literally terrible. It didn't even come with potatoes or a starch. They called it "consomme" which is equally as pathetic. Its beef stew. It isn't about price, at any price it should at least be cooked the right way, or even taste good. Apps were equally as underwhelming; burrata was basically cheese on a plate with a couple, I mean three, tiny pieces of beets and the smallest amount of greens possible.
Once again, its not about price, the burrata was poor quality. The gnocchi tasted ok, but once again, it was TINY, and for that price it should've been amazing or 3x the size. We ordered two bottles of wine, were rushed, and I mean rushed, through dinner. Wine was ordered thinking that we would have plenty of time to sit and relax. The glasses were dirty and tiny and didn't fit the styles of wine we were drinking. Dessert was the worst, literally came out less than two minutes after we ordered it, and clearly had been sitting in a refrigerator pre-plated; disgusting. Waiter dropped check without asking if we were done. Time to leave i guess. $380 later, we left. My G/F left hungry after 3 courses. She's never even finished a course at a restaurant, she left hungry. Waiter spent the entire time on his phone and could care less. You couldn't make me go back. Awful.

So this gentleman is one of the problem customers you read about in The Globe. Rather than understanding that the cost of raw materials is up by 20% and labor 30% (thereby driving the prices of our menu up) he prefers to bully our small independent neighborhood restaurant with this savage review. Perhaps if he had not ordering $200/2 bottles of wine then he might have a better perception of the value our restaurant offers in these tough times. Shame on you. We are glad that you will not be back.

We had a 9pm reservation and arrived just before 9pm, but we had to wait 20 minutes to be seated. We ordered a drink and waited. After we were seated, we ordered starters and entrees and the starters arrived promptly. The entrees also arrived in good time. There was some loud noise (conversation) coming from the booths beside and across from us. We later ordered dessert, which was very good. Overall, our experience was pretty good, except for the 20 minute wait.

Wow, Season To Taste was a fantastic restaurant, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. The food, service and ambiance were all top notch. The portion sizing is perfect, and you’ll leave feeling satisfied without feeling stuffed. A previous review said they kick their plate if they could, and we understand why! Thanks for a great evening. We will definitely come again!

We wanted to lick every plate for every dish! Pumpkin gnocchi was savory and incredible, haddock over green curry and jasmine rice melted in the mouth, and my husband -- who loves red meat -- got the vegan jackfruit tamale dish and housed it. Start to finish, perfect meal!

Server was helpful, friendly, and quick. We sat in a super-cozy outdoor table, very well-protected by the wind and heated well on a cold evening. The food was perfect, I've never had more delicious carrots and I ate every bite of my pasta.

Season to Taste has good food, good service, and excellent pandemic seating!

Each outdoor table has its own private tented enclosure that keeps out the wind but lets in plenty of fresh air. There's an electric heater over the table, and they plan to keep going through the winter. This must be the best outdoor eating setup in the area!

Menu has good variety, especially multiple vegetarian options.
Wine list has lots of interesting bottles at reasonable prices.

We were pleasantly surprised to learn of a wonderful restaurant in our neighborhood that we had been unaware of. Season To Taste is a great place in a very accessible location on Massachusetts Avenue. The appetizers we had (Squash Soup, Gnocchi) were great, the entrees (Atlantic Halibut, Crispy Cod Cheeks) were delicious, and the desserts (Pana Cotta, Cheesecake) were very good! Everything about our dinner there was great - the service, ambience, food, price. We were very happy with our experience there. We will definitely return!

We were looking for a very romantic spot with good food. Our food was very good. Tasty and elegant. Except desert - cheesecake was over baked with less than stellar jam. Due to covid they have curtained off every table, not the romantic ambiance we were looking for. Maybe curtained off outside would be more fun if not more romantic. Service was fine but nothing special.
