The airy design features a glass enclosed kitchen, a lounge space with comfortable seating and a lively bar area. Patrons can watch the action, chat without boundaries and feel as if they’re at a friend’s dinner party rather than a restaurant.--so come early, and stay late!
I had been to the one in Scottsdale, AZ when it was open and was excited to have it in Austin. Great decor too!
Great brunch! Avacodo toast was delicious and the granola parfait was pretty and delicious.
Fabulous food, great menu, nice surroundings. Highly recommend.
What a delightful experience! The food was great and was able to satisfy a variety of dietary restrictions. The service was outstanding, too! We had great servers who were knowledgable (but honest when they needed to check on something) and human. It was great!
Very relaxing and eclectic experience. Menu was appetizing. Would recommend.
The food was generally good! The biscuits and hummus are delish!! Our salade was made wrong (too much vinegar and forgot the cheese). We sent it back but we’re still charged for it...otherwise, it was a good experience. Great share plates!
Though I noted that we were celebrating a birthday, there was no mention of it the entire time we were at the restaurant. Appetizers were fine, but the roast chicken entree was inedible. Service was terrible-the waitress barely spoke and honestly seemed irritated that we wanted to do things like place an order for food. At the end of the meal, she literally threw the check on the table and walked off, muttering "have a good night" under her breath. Ruined what was supposed to be a very special birthday dinner, one that we traveled all the way from Boston to celebrate! Never again, Searsucker!
Waitress was a bit inattentive, but food was excellent.
Service was really poor. Our server no doubt was having a bad night. Which was unfortunate as it was our friends 35th birthday.
Good, solid service. Great app choices. Solid entrees. Would have preferred not sitting way in the back. Not sure what drove that selection by hostess.
the salad was huge enough to share and it was so good I couldn't stop eating it, my salmon was cooked perfect it was just a very tasty good meal
Nice food, served well. I hadn't been to Searsucker before, so didn't know what to expect. The website made it seem a little more "foodie" and "crafty", but we found it to be approachable and casual. The place was a little dead for a lunch hour - we arrived at 12:30, and were one of three tables. The short rib tacos were good - a little dry, but flavorful. The duck fat fries are not to be missed. My companion's "Veggie Sando" sandwich was rich and nicely prepared. We were here on a Tuesday for lunch - I wonder if it's different on a Friday night with a date?
We live out of town and have eaten at Searsucker in Austin several times. The food is always great and the service even better. Lindsey has waited on us several times (coincidentaly) and she is just outstanding!!! Very friendly and accommodating to our requests... we ordered a lot of appetizers and side dishes with our meal and everything was excellent!!

We have been here twice and both times were underwhelmed by the food quality for the price. This most recent visit I ordered the specialty grilled cheese sandwich and tomato soup, which looked like it had been sitting for awhile before it was served. Additionally, the soup was cold within a couple of minutes. We also ordered two side dishes and everything got cold before we could finish, which was disappointing.
The cocktails are really good, though!
Delay in getting our table although we had a reservation...other than that, had a good evening.
Bad service and not food quality is bad.
Food was great, service poor. Waiter was slow, unwilling to provide any recommendations, completely inattentive.
Food was average. When an item was over cooked it was prepared again and also overcooked.
Good foods
Really cool and unique restaurant! Definitely worthwhile experiencing this wonderful restaurant.
We went for front and had a great time. However they advertise a DJ and I believe it does not start till later in the afternoon.
Good service. Professional and courteous
We were lucky enough to get a table at 9pm when other restaurants were booked. Based on our evening there I understand why. The restaurant was extremely loud with some party being very rowdy. Our waitress was not very attentive and it was only after we waited for our food for over 30 minutes did she offer the fact there was a large private party causing the kitchen delay. Once our food arrived part of the order was missing. It arrived and was comped but the experience just didn't sit well with us. The food itself was mediocre. We ordered the shrimp and grits, grilled cheese special, and duck fat fries. The only item that was served hot was the fries that arrived after the other food. I would not recommend or return to this restaurant.
Will NOT recommend.
Limited menu.
Food less than mediocre
Best brunch we've had in Austin so far! We always reserve a brunch for Sunday after a weekend with our Longhorn student. Mimosa was generous and served in a wide glass instead of champagne flute--awesome! Avocado toast was so yummy! We'll definitely be back!
Service was a little slow but it gave our group time to catch up. The food was amazing! Everything came out hot and was delicious. The mimosas were great too! Definitely recommend and look forward to returning on my next trip to Austin!
Great service!
The food was excellent. I had the “small” plate of tomato soup and grilled cheese. It was a full sandwich and full bowl of soup, so small is a misnomer. It was fabulous and comforting. We had the deviled eggs as an appetizer - tasty and they had a hint of horseradish. The Mac and cheese I think had bacon but it was nothing special. A group of 100 sorority girls came in ahead of us and our dinner took more than an hour to arrive - after we had been driving 5 hours. They should have shut down the restaurant or added staff. Our server did comp the last two drinks to add back some goodwill. Music level was just right, really nice interior design. Would definitely return.
Searsucker was fantastic! We had the brown butter fries and sticky bun to start, the fries were some of the best I’ve ever had, the sticky bun was good, but would have been better if it had been warmer. We had the avocado toast and the eggs your way both were good, but the tenderloin Benedict was one of the best meals I have ever had - the hollandaise was out of this world and the meat fell apart. Whenever I go to brunch anywhere, I get Benedict if it is on the menu and this was far and away the best one I’ve ever had. Drinks were also excellent, the bacon Bloody Mary and the fresh and so clean!
Unfortunately this trip was not good. Food was overcooked to the point the biscuit was a rock and my eggs were fried so hard they had carmelized the white/yolk.
The tiny drink was $14. The manager was kind, but didn't do enough to get us back.
The music was too much rap, especially for Easter Sunday and failed to be "background" music. We ended up leaving and going next door to have Easter Brunch.
Went for brunch on Easter Sunday. Flavors were good but execution a bit lacking. 3 of the party of 6 ordered
Biscuits and gravy. Biscuits were rock hard and cold. Duck fat gravy good eggs cooked great but other than that not successful. I had the blat was good but lacked the pork belly for the most part. Would love to try again because like I said flavors worked but need a bit of quality control.
Yikes! We went to Searsucker for brunch and it was outstanding, so we decided to try for lunch. Big mistake.
The barutta tomatoes were good. Not memorable, but good. I ordered the fish tacos. My partner ordered the crispy chicken sandwich.
My tacos were not only not good, they were terrible. The fish tasted like it had been grilled yesterday and was microwaved. It was extremely dry, cardboardy even. And there were a few bizarre French fries scattered on them. I ate one taco and left the other one.it wasn't worth the calories.
My partner also ate half of her sandwich. She said it was completely unbalanced in vinegar due to an acidy coldslaw on the salad. She also complained that the bun was not tasty either.
The most disappointing meal I've had in a long time.
To make it worse, our server was disinterested and inattentive. There were hardly any people in the shop and I had to get up and track him down for a refill. Altogether a fail.
We won't go back and suggest you try any number of the fabulous options in downtown Austin.
It was our first time here and I'm glad we decided to go! The hostess Trinity was so vibrant and nice! Our server who was also the bartender was very sweet and attentive as well. We all ordered the chilaquiles which were amazing! The flavor and just the overall presentation of it was perfect! I will definitely be coming back here!
The dishes listed on the brunch menu looked delicious but everything that came out wasn't quite... right. The sticky bun had good flavor but was dry and overdone, the toast and potatoes on the "eggs your way" dish were bland, and the fried rice in the kimchi fried rice was mushy and wet. Our wait staff was friendly and helpful.
Two positive things we can say about this place, the food delivery is Fast and the food is very good. The two of us went early on a Friday evening and will probably seated where we asked. We like a table next to the open window when the weather is nice so we can watch the people. The windows were closed when we arrive but they probably open them on our request. These are floor-to-ceiling windows. The Ambiance is nice and service is courteous so give it a try
The food and atmosphere are great for a date or a night out with friends. I will definitely be going back next time I'm in Austin!!
Amazing really new
Concept of dinner. Big like

Brunch meal
Caught up with a friend over dinner and was very excited to try Searsucker because I’d heard good things. The food was delicious (ordered apps and I had a salad), the drinks delightful and creative, and our service was fantastic!
Great burger, duck fat fries & pear salad. Spacious dining area with great service!
it was nice to go to a really nice restaurant in Austin when we were from out of town - always trust listings on Open Table! The brunch menu was varied and we all had something different but all enjoyed our choices. Loved the biscuits and gravy with 2 sunnyside up eggs - the biscuits were a little sweet and very "solid" but then they soaked up the gravy and the eggs - OMG so good! If I'm every in Austin again, will definitely return!
