The service, ambiance and food at Seagar's last night was fantastic. My husband had the Dover Sole and I had the Blackened Grouper...both were more than wonderful. The New York style cheesecake lived up to the name...the best we have ever had except maybe in New York City proper. Sam, one of the manager's, was exceptionally attentive...every restaurant should have manager's like her.
My wife got a fillet and I got the fillet with a bone in it. Both were fantastic. The shared sides were also very good, and they are very big! Even the half portions of the shared signs are plenty! The service is fantastic, we wanted for nothing, But they weren’t intrusive either. They are very well trained! We would definitely go back there again!
My wife and I have been coming here for our anniversary since 2015. Seagar's never disappoints with its professional service, outstanding food, and classic ambiance. We highly recommend.
We celebrated my birthday here and it was amazing! Food was great and the service was wonderful.
The truffle fries could feed four to six people. The spinach salad was great but you may want the dressing on the side because it is so good.
Chocolate mousse was the icing on the cake!
Our evening started off very nice. The Captain offered up valuable menu and wine suggestions. We all ordered the same eve special of surf and turf. We shared a ceasar salad made tableside which was excellent., then came the hour and a half after our salad and still no dinner. Once we called the waiter over they immediately started looking for our ticket. I think they assumed we had eaten since everyone around us was done that came after us. The mgr was nice, made no excuses and comped our meal. Our meal did come. The steak was impressive bu the lobster was SO tough you could not eat it. They sent complimentary sides and they were fair. We needed to pay for 2 bottles of wine 75 each and the tip so $260 for technically wine. Have eaten at many fine dining restaurants but have to say dont think I will be making a reservation here again.
The food was excellent, and the servers were very kind and knowledgeable. The wait time between courses was a bit lengthy, but the manager made up for it without us mentioning it.
Everything was very nice. My water glass did not get full attention. Food was great
We know that Seagar's is not somewhere where most folks will eat at on a regular basis, but it is perfect for those special occasions where you want to take your spouse somewhere special. The food and presentation was great. The service was streamlined and run with military precision. We never had an empty glass, someone always asked if we needed anything (not necessarily our waiter), the staff was informative and friendly.
Great evening for my wife’s birthday. Just the two of us enjoying a quiet evening. I had the bone in filet and she had 8 oz. Filet. Perfectly cooked and was delicious! Glasses of nice wine and water were our beverages. The only negative was the twice baked potato was not hot and hard on top. Overall, we will be back for an enjoyable dinner. Very nice experience.
Ted and Dave provided excellent, attentive and by the book service that both my wife and I truly enjoyed. The filet tartare was phenomenal and a must have. Our selected steaks were prepared perfectly. We’ll without a doubt be back every time we’re in town and we will be sure to recommend Seagars to anyone visiting the area.
Outstanding in every possible way. Superior service, food, and ambiance.
Expensive but worth it. Filet was perfect and Sole melted in our mouths. Good service, a little noisy, perhaps because pianist was playing louder than i would have expected.
Always a joy dining at Seagars! It was very busy and we didn’t get in at our reservation time. Probably understaffed, but the piano player was terrific and the staff waiting on our table , attentive and very professional!
From the moment we arrived the attention given to our needs was spot on. The wait staff and captain checked in with us just the right amount of times, wanting to ensure we had all that we needed. We randomly asked what items were on the Charcuterie Board we had just received and without missing a beat the Captain explained all the items on the board. It was our 34 wedding anniversary and the service met our expectations. Thank you to the team at Seagar's for making the evening relaxing and stress free.
They provided great service with special treats for our birthday and anniversary. The service at the bar and getting our food was slower than expected for such a fine dining experience,
A must for a visit to Destin. Amazing steak, seafood is phenomenal, extensive wine list, and superb service. You will not be disappointed.
Amazing service and experience, we will definitely be visiting again.
Great food, every time we go it’s a an amazing experience. Staff is excellent and friendly. Will always recommend.
Outstanding service! Tableside Caesar and Tableside Cherries Jubilee! Exquisite!
Nice place. Best restaurant in the area. Always go there for special occasions. Never disappointed!
The service Seagar’s was outstanding. The food was good but not outstanding.
Celebrated our 50th anniversary here and the service and food were exceptional! Totally recommend for a special dinner.
We chose Seagar's for my 40th birthday dinner. It was a great experience. All of the staff were helpful & attentive.
I made reservations 20 days in advance and requested a special table (a banquette lower level) as we normally do.
When we checked in 10 minutes early we were taken to a different table and location. Quite disappointed but we’re told they had over looked the special request… How does this happen as they knew we were celebrating a birthday - that wasn’t overlooked.
The hostess said we could wait but I suggested a different section that had a nice table.
Food and service was excellent as usual and we had a lovely evening.
In the future, I will call the day before to confirm. Our captain did suggest a different table #13 for the future.
I will look forward to our next date night at table 13.
Wonderful meal with above excellent service! Couldn’t ask for a better filet! Super tender with exploding flavor with adding the Blue cheese/bacon topping! Great experience and fantastic staff! Thanks
The food was off the charts amazing and the service was incredible. Thank you for such a wonderful evening dinner.
Celebrated our 15 year anniversary here and the atmosphere was amazing. We sat in the Pinot Wine room and it was a perfect setting. Our reservation was late 9:30pm so the service was very slow and we almost felt forgotten about but we were determined to not have our night ruined and simply over looks the long wait times….but that is the main reason why we don’t usually book this late however that’s all that was available. The food was really good I had the lamb chops and my husband had a rib eye. The “lovebird” cocktail was amazing and we will probably check this place out again when we come back to Destin.
Steak a little tough food also salty and not worth the money paid
We had an amazing meal that was matched by stellar service. We had tenderloin and scallops followed by a Grand Marnier soufflé. The atmosphere was lively but not loud and we were able to linger over our meal with feeling rushed. We are returning tonight to hopefully eat at the bar.
I lucked up on a reservation at Seagar's over the very busy Labor Day Weekend. It was literally the last reservation available for the entire holiday weekend. I think someone canceled and I stumbled upon the opening. I booked it but after reading some reviews I almost canceled the reservation but I didn't. I am so glad I decided to keep it. Lobster Bisque was wonderful as well as bread and butter, small filet and sautéed mushrooms. It was so good I went back the next night night and ate at the bar. I had the Lobster Bisque again, Tuna Tartar and Crème Brule. I had every intention in trying to find another seat at the bar on my third and last night but I was just to drained from a full day at the beach so instead I ate my left over filet and sautéed mushrooms in the room. This was my third stay at the Hilton Sandestin but my first time to eat here. I will make it a must do every time I am there from here on out.
First time back since our anniversary 14 years ago on our wedding. Food quality bland nothing exciting found a hair in my sons meal told manager he took his steak off only. Service took long time between starters and entrees. Would not recommend not the same as use to be saw several other customers also waiting long periods on food and check as well.
It was our first time there to celebrate a birthday. Always wanted to go. It was a fantastic experience. The staff was awesome and food was delicious!
We had a wonderful birthday dinner for my wife. They accommodated us in a a private room and the service and food were amazing as always.
Very nice restaurant and the service was great. We would go back again.
The best food ever!!
Awesome food and service. Steak is cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth. Service is excellent.
It was a 50th birthday dinner for 6 people. 1) Took way too long for cocktails to come out. 2) 8:30 reservation and didn’t eat until 10:30pm. 3) Birthday wasn’t acknowledged. 4) Didn’t get asked about ordering desert until they brought the checks out (literally). 5) They put 20% tip - a restaurant should never do that - plus, we had a $60 bottle of wine and you do not tip on bottles of wine
Wonderful experience! The filet was one of the best steaks I have ever had!
Welcoming hostess, great presentation on meals , friendly staff and very professional
