    Disappointing. We dined at Seagars two years ago. The food and service were amazing. We were excited to come back. This time the food and service were not good from start to finish. We were sat between two bigger parties that got a lot of attention. Even a visit from the Chef. We had to ask for drink refills several times. Then were served burnt fried lobster tails after waiting a very long time. Every guest in your dining room should feel important. Big miss on a very expensive experience.

    We were sat at a table right away. We ordered our meals, received our salads and they were very good. After waiting 90 minutes, I couldn’t deal with the incompetence. We finally left (without our steaks) after paying for our drinks and salads. This establishment was an absolute horrible experience.

    Extremely disappointed. Many upset people. Food service slow and long. Steak overcooked and dry. Servers had to be requested and neglect our table. Children ate the overcooked food since they were hungry. Manager was not very helpful. We have been eating there over 10 years and have never been treated so bad. Food wasn’t worth we paid. Requested no onions and scallions and still served wrong. Manager should have given us a credit since we couldn’t eat some of the food. String beans were black. We won’t go back. I showed the manager our 5 star rating in July 2023 and he didn’t care! Need new management.

    We reserved the wine room for 3 people. It was spot on, perfect for ambiance and low noise. Our server really tried, dressed well, explained the food well..but for the price we paid (EXTREMELY expensive now), the service didn’t match. He spilled drops of red wine on the white table cloth, with each person’s pour, with no apologies (or mentions of it). This would be fine at Long Horn, not in a restaurant charging these prices. He should’ve covered it with white wine napkins, but, instead, we stared at it. Also, we went without a water refill the entire dinner. We were offered re-fills when our check was presented. The Dover Sole was did not disappoint..but the gentleman that deboned it table side, was nice, but not professional…kind of untrained in table side manners for this type of restaurant…making mistakes like dropping the spoon and laughing about it. The other entrees, Sea Bass and venison, were very good as well. The creamed spinach was runny, and tasted more like spinach, rather than “creamed”. The truffle fries…we sent back because they were cold. They were returned “warmed up”…very “gooey”. And again, in a restaurant of this quality…they should not serve thin, truffle/parmesan fries that are “stuck together” in clumps…they dropped the ball on this simple dish. The wine was the most fairly priced item we encountered. Very nice wine list, with interesting wines. But the dishes were overpriced, when you factor in the entire experience. They need to lower the prices to mirror the service and the food that is not up to the standards of a top notch restaurant.

    Seagars is the absolute best dining experience in Destin florida. The service and attention to detail by the staff can only be found at Seagars. This was my 4th visit to the restaurant this year and my group were impressed with the food and service. This is a dining experience but bring your wallet. It is expensive but worth the price.

    We had such a great time!! The staff was outstanding and graciously accommodated our request for a booth as my husband is hard of hearing. From the maitre’d to the bus boy, every one was just a delight!! We enjoyed the piano music, something you don’t see often these days. The food was fabulous, though expensive. We will look forward to coming back.

    We had a wonderful experience!! The staff was very attentive and helpful, especially our waiter, Ted. We we’re celebrating an Anniversary and they made us feel very special!! We will be back for sure!! We were prepared that it would be expensive, but the prices were really high.

    Unfortunately sometimes we all have a bad day. Paying $90.00 for a steak filled with grizzle was very disappointing. I should have sent it back, so my bad. I’m sure Seagar’s performs better on most occasions, just not mine. I would go again and give it another try.

    We had a wonderful night with our waiter Captain Paul We started with lobster beignets. They were so light and airy. Next the most delicious lobster bisque. Our next thing was a ribeye steak. It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I could not more highly recommend this restaurant.

    Spoil yourself and eat here, you will not regret a single bite. Especially if you get the steak Diane and they have bananas foster for dessert. This is one of my top 5 dinning experiences ever!

    Every year in Destin we make it a point to hit Seagar's for at least one meal. The food is always beautifully prepared, the piano adds an elegance we really enjoy and the service is always quite good. But.... This year, the service was EXCEPTIONAL!!!. Benton was an amazing server and with his dry wit and willingness to engage, he made the meal one of, if not THE best ever!!!! There were many humorous exchanges throughout the evening that delighted our entire family. After the meal and his expert preparation of desserts, we asked him to take a family photo. He took several and only afterward when looking at the photos of us, did we discover he had taken a selfie and included it on our phone. It was freaking hilarious. Benton fan club forever!!!!!!

    Romantic elegant fine dining experience. Lobster was absolutely fabulous mixed with live great piano music in the back ground and the martini’s were not bad either! This one is a 10 out of 10. It doesn’t disappoint!

    Bone in rib-eye and custom filet were cooked to perfection and delicious! Service (by Benton) was exactly on time and he was an excellent waiter. The jazz pianist was excellent It was our anniversary and they bent over backwards for us. Our first visit there, but the spectacular bananas foster assured that it will NOT be our last!! Comprehensive success!!

    This was a joke in my opinion. Touted as a prime steak house, but far from that. Slightly better than hotel food and extremely overpriced. Many options around but this was on the resort where we have stayed for the last 5 years so we gave it a try. Glad we got it out of the way the first night there. With so many options in the area its easy to find better steaks and much better seafood than what we had here. We had a shrimp cocktail as an appetizer and the shrimp were very large but extremely tough. I had the surf & turf. The filet was cooked medium and had very little flavor, the lobster was overcooked. She had crab legs and they had a strong fishy taste. We shared a side of twice baked potatoes and they were overcooked, very dry. For the items above and 4 drinks the total was $400. Next was the service. Our waiter started off great but basically abandoned us half way through the meal. The check was dropped off at the table and we really didn't have a chance to address the concerns with him as someone else handled the check. This was definitely a lesson learned and I hope it helps someone else. As stated too many choices in the area with much better food and much less of a price to waste your time on a place like this.

    We’ve dined at Seagar’s at least a dozen times in the past and always loved it. This time it was terrible. While Celebrating our anniversary. We had ordered a glass of wine and a martini. We didn’t expect anything special but restaurant decided to help us celebrate by bringing us each 1/2 a glass of champagne along with our cocktails. My thoughts were 1/2 glass is rather cheap for a place like this and almost insulting. It’s fine not to do anything, but If you’re try to do something nice, do it right or don’t do anything at all. Next was the service and the totally destroyed food presentation of Maine lobster (the tail portion was okay but the rest of the meat looked had the consistency of cereal) and table side deboning of Dover Sole -served Lukewarm by what appeared to be a bus boy in training with no personality and who had just reached across the table plopped down my wife’s lobster. After he destroyed the deboned the sole (which still had some bones in it) he finally spoke and asked if I wanted the cappers on it Then he just turned the cup over and poured them all in one spot. The burnt butter that was to served with it, turned out to be only Lukewarm melted butter. What was even worse was that our waiter walked by and looked as this guy as he was destroying our dinner and didn’t say a thing. By this time we had totally empty water glasses and I had ask someone to pour us more water. Next came the dessert. I ordered a fancy coffee and crème brûlée. The lukewarm coffee came and then it took another 20 minutes or more to get the crème brûlée. I’m afraid the food and the service are no longer acceptable for what used to a great place. $400.00 later we left the restaurant thinking this used to be a great place. But I will no longer recommend this place, especially if you’re celebrating any special occasion.

    To be fair, many moons ago, I was a formal dining waiter. We were trained in formal dining using the Ritz Carlton training manual. It was thorough, and included role play in the 80’s. First, waiters women should always be served first before men. Second, serve from the left, and wait until your patron sits away from the table to replace silver. Third, I was surprised at the amount of men who did not adhere to the dress code which is stated on your website. That being said, I would eat here over and over again. The quality of food and ambience is perfect. The Hilton has maintained the facilities quite well since we’ve been dining here for two decades. Paul, Benton, Jason, and Scott were very accommodating. Thank you for a lovely evening. We will see you soon.

    The lobster roll was not very tasty. We had to beg for water refill. The Steak Diane and Filet were awesome. We are long time customers and it appears prices went up and service went down. We are repeat customers because of the 5 star experience. This visit was disappointing.

    My husband and I had an amazing 5yr anniversary dinner here. The warm spinach salad was amazing and the filet with au poivre was very tender and delicious. The pianist was the sweetest man. He asked what song we danced to at our wedding then played it on the piano (Ed Sheeran- Thinking Out Loud). He played beautifully. We wanted to find a restaurant elegant enough to wear formal attire just for fun and this was the perfect place. We loved the romantic ambiance. The staff were all so friendly and the service was perfect. They even surprised us with a beautiful chocolate soufflé at the end of the night. Overall we had a fabulous time and can’t wait to visit again!

    Wonderful dinner again while visiting the Sandestin area. This place will continue to be on our list of "must go" restaurants in the area. Staff, service, and food are excellent! It was only our 3rd time over the past few years, but the server recognized us and came by to say hello.

    It was our 42nd Anniversary & we were delighted to spend our evening at SEAgars! We were greeted at the front door and were pampered like NO other restaurant we had been to in a LONG time… The wait staff was incredible… seriously…Everything was perfect! Our waiter suggested a of the specials of the evening “King Crab Legs “ & I took the bait! They were AMAZING! To top off the evening the Chef even took the time to congratulate us on our anniversary! Thank you ALL for making our special evening even more memorable!!!
