Dishes were not large but extremely well prepared and the quality was off the chart good!
Everything was amazing. I especially loved the treat at the end.
Sea Salt in St Petersburg has become one of our favorite local restaurants. The service is exceptional and the food prep, presentation and flavors are fantastic. This time I had swordfish and my wife had the striped bass. Couldn’t have been better. Certainly we will be back soon.
Menu was daunting but exciting to explore! Wonderful choices for our meal . Oysters were wonderful with varied flavors and textures . Gulf shrimp awesome. Ahi crudo was standout! Swordfish dish was great flavors; nice side pairings. Milk chocolate dome with warm caramel was great finish to a wonderful dinner. One shortcoming; no fun beverages for minors to make it special for them.
The waitress and the manager were both friendly and helpful. The waitress answered all our questions and made excellent suggestions. Meal preparation and presentation were superb.
This was our third visit to the Sea Salt and it was very disappointing. We very much enjoyed our previous visits.
First, we had to ask our server twice for bread and finally we ask a server walking by our table if he could bring us some bread. Second, our starter, which was sea scallops came to the table cold. When we notified the server she indicated that she would inform the chef. That was it! Third, the sea bass we ordered was served warm, however, even though it should have been hot the texture and flavor was excellent.
Fortunately Downtown St. Pete has many choices for dinner.
It easily met our expectations. Great selections.
We had a family gathering and what a treat! Wine selection was excellent. The fish dishes were cooked perfectly.
Wow! This place is fantastic from from appetizer to spun sugar! If you are a foodie, this is the place for you!
Service from start to finish was exceptional. Delicious cocktails, as well as an extensive wine menu.
Whole grilled fish of the day (branzino) was excellent.
Anniversary dinner was delicious! Drinks were on point and service was fabulous. Thanks for a great night
Ambiance was great, lovely facility, a challenging menu, lots of great options. As with most restaurants, wines are overpriced. I always wonder why they don’t train staff to pair wines with entrees and make a recommendation. There’s no need to Mark wine up buy 400/500 percent.
Great fish, small portions which we enjoyed. A bit pricy for the small portion but we expected that.
My wife and I are visiting St Petersburg for the first time and we had a wonderful meal at Sea Salt. We were able to sit outside and we both enjoyed our entrees - the striped bass and the red snapper were exceptional and the Caesar salad was unusual and very good. We would highly recommend Sea Salt for anyone looking for great seafood in St Pete.
Not just a restaurant, an exciting dining experience. The service was the best around. Hannah was outstanding.
Friendly service for eight long-time friends on a beautiful evening on the terrace. Delicious food a lot of which was marred by - ironically- an over abundance of salt. Otherwise, wonderful. Please hold off on the salt!
We love Sea Salt. Everything about this place is great. We try to go as often as we can.
Very disappointing again. We have dined at SS maybe a half dozen times and out of those experiences ONE was as expected, delicious & fabulous service the other five experiences were the same, great atmosphere, mediocre food and TERRIBLE service. Just rediculous. We dropped $325 for 4 .... as we celebrated a friends bday. SS has the look and the attitude but they just can’t seem to pull it off other than when you get the bill - that part they have mastered. Big money, ok food, horrible service. So disappointing.
Birthday dinner with three generations and all were happy.
Brian was great and hope has new baby by now.
Only negative was that you were out of 8 years in the desert 😘
Food was amazing, service was stellar, ambiance was perfect.
The food was nothing special but the prices were. The oysters were fabulous and the bread but everything else was mediocre. Our hostess sat us next to a very loud group of women so it was hard for us to enjoy a dinner for two. Tuna tartare, cesaer salad roll and crabcake were all disappointing.
Unusually prepared and tasty, huge choice menu, all unique. Beautiful place too we sat outside. Perfect for special occasions.
Fish is fresh and impeccably prepared and presented. Expensive but totally worth it.
Was great 👍🏻
Wonderful food, great service. All around lovely dining experience
Server very friendly but the teams are disorganized. Attempted to place order for oysters three times.... even though they have in oyster sommelier. Every time we were presented detail with what was on the menu or suggested, the waiter returned telling us they didn’t have that type. Then we received two different orders of oysters and one had to be returned because they created a duplicate. The pastas were generously portioned and unfortunately lacked any flavor. The shrimp cocktail was too cold to enjoy it almost borderline frozen. We ordered four martinis for the table, two with regular olives and two with blue cheese olives. All of the martinis were presented with blue cheese olives. Too many mistakes and confusion, especially for this high price point of dining. Furthermore, it was not that busy. Many better choices in the neighborhood. Avoid this place. Terrible.
Excellent seafood, kind and prompt service, prices at the level of the food, wonderful external terrace. Wr will come back again!!!
Food was great
the waiter was awesome
little disappointed that the clams were about the size of a nickel other than that everything was awesome
Lovely, chic restaurant with welcoming and well-informed staff.
This visit, a reunion with old friends, was especially magical.
Our server was charming, extremely competent and accommodating.
Oysters were exceptional, entrees wonderful and dessert enticing.
We’ll hurry back.
It was a surprise that I almost blew. My daughter had called that day to have special chocolates ready for dessert, prepaid the bill, and Tamira, one of the hostesses called my daughter when I showed up one hour earlier (didn't know it was a surprise) stating I was tired and going home after a drink and appetizers I almost blew the surprise but Tamira promptly called my daughter, and Daniel, our server, knew what was going on but was totally cool about the delay and my changing things. Kevin the manager was a delight to which to talk and all in all the food the service the ambience were so much more special than I would have expected on my 70th decade! Thank you all. G Stathis
Great time at Sea Salt. I went one day for lunch and then returned the following evening with my boyfriend. Food was excellent! I'm not sure if there was a mix-up in the kitchen or not, but our food was a bit slow to come out. However, the manager came out to check on us, and since we were visiting from cold Vermont, we were totally fine with getting to spend some more time outside in the warmth. Excellent food, excellent waitresses, and excellent ambiance. Oh, and they had gluten free table bread!
Good atmosphere, good food and good service, but not worth the overly priced menu
Great service from Kayleen.
Had a nice bottle of Orin Swift at a good price.
Oyster Rockefeller was excellent.
Then the wheels came off and the crash was BAD!
My wife had the salmon. Ordered medium rare. The cooking method was touted at evenly cooking the fish. It worked! The salmon came out well done. Then I ordered one of the house specialties, crispy fish. If this is a signature dish then they are missing the boat. This was a bad microwave dinner gone wrong. The fish was so overcooked if I called it dead it would be a compliment.
We had been at Sea Salt previously and had come back. Can't say that there will be a 3rd.
The food was amazing and the service was great!! One if my favorite meals during my trip to Florida.
We met friends here for dinner Sunday and had a very good experience. Our server Ally was excellent and gave us good advise on menu options. The restaurant was busy but we could still visit without noise issues and had a delicious dinner. Everyone really enjoyed their dishes. We had whole fish, branzino, which was fabulous and our friends also had 2 different seafood entrees that they enjoyed as well as their crab cake appetizer. It was our second time and I highly recommend dining here.
Not sure why 2 sides or not included with meal. Seems the price for a meal is high without sides being included. What's the deal about not adding vegetables to the fish?
Pro: 6 of us in total, we RSVP'd and we were seated on time. Sea Salt & Bread starter was fun and tasty.
Con: 2 of the 5 fish dishes the fish was very under cooked. Asked for a side of steak sauce, charged $20, $10/each however the server didn't tell us that when we asked.
Server was great. Seafood was very fresh! A little pricey. The only place I have been to that charges $2 for rocks when ordering Tito’s on the rocks!
Wonderful food, great service, good ambience.
