Great food and friendly service. It was my first time at Scout, and I would definitely go back in the future.
Good nite with the wife! Great atmosphere!
Lots of relaxed fun watching football, bowling, playing ping pong, snacking and chatting!
Not good spot for conversation. More fun / hang out
Enjoyed my Birthday celebration
The staff was friendly and always helpful and willing to go the extra mile. The Bartender at the Bowling alley was above and beyond amazing.Jared deserves a raise.😁
Scout has been consistent, consistently good in every aspect of restaurant dining, since it opened.
The venue hasn't changed, which is good... I got it the first time. The large island bar, billiard tables interspersed among the dining tables, and the side area for more billiards, ping pong, dancing, hi-top tables is fun, and then there's the 4-lane bowling alley (FYI just do this for fun... the auto scorning software and pin changers are on the fritz).
The menu is creative bar-neighborhood comfort food, always good, and the bartenders and servers are always good as well. They're very good at accommodating changes to their munu.
It's a fun place to hangout for an evening or just fun in for food or a drink.
We made a reservation and then the hostess sat us at a table for four where there were five of us. The food was average. The games are fun.
One of the best happy
The ambiance is nice but we had issues with the food. Some of our food was not cooked all the way and the taste of other dishes were not that great. I’d possibly come back for the games but skip the food altogether.
Everything was fine. Not amazing, food was better than average. The only issue is that the server could have mentioned that our tabs had gratuity added. When guests are having fun, it’s very easy to overlook a receipt. Having been in the industry, that’s a party foul on the server and business. Make it known.
We were disappointed the buffet was gone and there is now a limited brunch menu. Food was fine, but we had different expectations walking in.
It felt like I was dining in a club, which is weird bc it was only 8pm. Not a good atmosphere at all. Very undecided about what kind of restaurant they wanted to be.
fun, lively atmosphere with plenty of good food and drinks to chose from.
Sadly, I really like the food here but the service is terrible. We ordered at 6:55, waited 40 minutes before the manager came and told us there was a glitch and promised our food in 5 minutes. A portion of our food came out 25 minutes after that. We waited another 10 minutes for 2 of our dinners. However, at this time the concert which we were attending in the ballroom was starting, at 8:00 pm. When the first part of our food did come, the server had no ideas whose was whose and key looking at his notes. During the 1.5 hours we were there, most of us were only served 1 drink. This was my 3rd visit and all 3 had troublesome service, however this was the worst. There was no offer of compensation, however our server was very apologetic.
I was expecting mimosa and Bloody Mary bars and an omelette station, all of which I read about online. The waiter said the menu changes the previous week!!! I was a little disappointed about that, but the food was great.
Good was average at best. Service was below average. Was very disappointed in the selections in the "buffets" which equated to very limited pre made store bought options and not really a buffet at all. Tons of staff moving 2-3 glasses from one side of the restaurant to the other but no one available to fill my 2oz water glass? Won't be back.
Great Fathers Day!
Good drinks and great service. However my friends and I decided to come for brunch for a friend’s birthday. Three people in the group are vegan and there were absolutely no vegan options for brunch. We had to eat at the Overeasy instead. It’s time for them to get with the times and have at least one or two vegan or vegetarian options. We like to eat also!
The service is very slow, especially when there is a band or parties going on.
There was a wait for my drink and there was another wait for the ticket but overall the experience was amazing and our waitress was SUPERB...
Fun atmosphere, good food, great happy hour prices, but loud when they have live music. Also, their lanes were down while we were there which was a disappointment to our group.
Super fun atmosphere, slow service & kind of confusing because it seemed like we had two servers. And then sometimes they would both disappear. But overall still a good experience because of the drinks and food.
I've tried this place twice now. The first time was bumpy, but they were new so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. It's been a year or two since my last visit and the experience was generally poor all around again. Unfortunately, there won't be a third time.
I didn’t realize that Sunday’s it’s buffet brunch only until 3pm. My mom who has food allergies basically paid $25 for a salad and fruit. Some of the food was dry, especially the chicken. I was a little disappointed and didn’t feel like it was worth the price, and the taste left a lot to be desired. Love the Statler, but I probably wouldn’t go back to Scout.
Nice place, unique atmosphere, reasonable-ish brunch for a special occasion.
Worst experience we have had in a LONG time. Service was non existent. We had about 3 separate waiters because we would place an order and then nothing happened. The food, when it did come, was awful. We ordered appetizers and dinner and nobody was happy with their food in a party of 5. Thought this would be a fun family night out with college age kids because of the bowling, pool tables, etc. and it was a total bust. Everyone wanted to leave. Including me. Do not waste your money or time. Very sad because we really wanted to like it.
The food was outstanding. My only complaint was our waiter was not good. Had to keep asking for the same things multiple times or we couldn’t find him. I don’t know if he was new or what. He only had to get drinks and clear dirty dishes as far as I could tell, and there wasn’t many tables he had to do that for. The brunch was wonderful I would give it another chance and just hope the waiter is having a better day.
great local cider and beer, food was okay but a bit pricey for the portions. I know we are in downtown dallas though, so that's to be expected. overall a really fun place to grab a bite and play some pool.
Love Salsa Sundays! It's wonderful to have a place to get together and to dance.
Service was SLOW and it wasn’t busy. We waited about 15 minutes before anyone came and got our drink order and that was even after asking. Order queso for an appetizer and it came out cold. Gumbo was ok and the fried chicken bucket was just ok as well.
It is a great place to let your hair down. I really enjoyed the experience.
Food was very good. However, the service was incredibly disappointing. Food was being brought to the wrong tables, it took forever to get water or even a waiter to come to chat with you. There were multiple bartenders huddled up talking to each other and ignoring customers and failing to ask customers if they wanted another round or even clearing the used dishes. The roof shook violently because of a party happening right above the restaurant, which was incredibly scary. Bathroom facilities were dirty and messy with paper all over the floor and no paper in the stalls. This definitely should not be part of the Statler experience.
We had a group of 10 to celebrate a birthday. Our server, Rachel, was amazing! She was friendly, charismatic and able to handle everything with ease. She made our visit even better by being so helpful and essentially "hosting" the party we were having. We ended up staying for more than 3 hours and loved every minute of it. We'll definitely be back. PS: Order that queso, you won't regret it! DELICIOUS!
Always great food and service! Love the band you had Thursday night, The Last Bandoleros!
Everything was really except we ordered four dishes and they were all kind of cold. They still tasted good just wish they were hotter. Other than that loved the place.
My birthday brunch!
First visit and what a surprise, there is a bowling alley in the restaurant. Cant wait to return.
Great for groups! Fun and bright atmosphere - good for mingling.
This was our second visit and, most likely, our last. Just as the case last time, the place wasn’t but half full, tops, and the staff seemed oddly overwhelmed. (We waited 30 minutes for a margarita.) NOBODY had a clue about the bowling. When I made the reservation I was told it’s “first come, first serve.” When we arrived, we were told there’s a list. She put us on the list and said it’d be our turn in an hour. An hour later she said 45 minutes to an hour, lmao!! The food is so-so, not much effort put there. It’s a cool place; they just need to figure out what the hell they're doing!
