Scout at The Statler
We came in with a bachelorette group of 9. It Started off very rough. Our young, blonde waitress was not giving us the impression she was interested in serving us at all. I discretely brought the poor attitude to her attention and she definitely improved. Food was just OK...not impressive. I expected better from The Statler.
Bowling & games was super fun!! China was awesome! Live music was great and upbeat. I would definitely recommend the Scout for a fun date night with friends.
Great food. Original atmosphere. I love the hotel.
Stopped here while clients in town for business. Nice bar, low noise level, good food. Made reservation but had to wait for table to clear because of several big groups there. They have pool tables, bowling alley, and good beers on tap to pass the time.
Disappointed, my reservation wasn't available when we checked in. Luckily, we were able to find seats at the bar. I'm not sure if this is restaurant or Open Table error. I did not account for this in my review.
I made a reservation on OpenTable, but when I got to Scout they had no record of the reservation.
Great fun all the way around!! Wonderful seeing The Last Bandoleros in this venue!! Service and food terrific!! Would definitely come back!
This was my third time coming to Scout. Always great food and a good time when we come here! All the dishes that came to the table were incredible! Such attention to detail and so delicious! Great place for a GNO!
Had fun! Nice atmosphere.
Good drinks, ping pong, bowling, good chicken sandwich (great butter fries). Fun night out with the family (adult kids)
The air conditioning wasn’t working properly so it was fairly warm in there. I had reservations for two at a high top but my boyfriend was ill so instead of sitting me there, they put me at the bar. Which was ok. My nartender, China, was knowledgable and attentive & her Cosmos were good. The shrimp & grits was tasty but WAY overloaded with onions. The flavor was too predominant. I enjoyed the bands that were there & had a generally good, if warm, time.
Good food, waitress was attentive. Overall great experience
Scout is basically a Applebee's with better atmosphere and some games. Don't waste your time or money. The food was really bad, the service was nice but a little confused and pretty slow.
Scout was awesome. However, I have a few things to note. It was probably one of the loudest places I've been, due to very loud music and lots of people. I could barely hear my boyfriend talk. On top of the noise, I felt a little overwhelmed (which is not my normal) by the flashing lights, tvs, crowd, and activity. In spite of all of that, we still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The burger was good.
The food and atmosphere were good. However, the service was lacking. We were at the table 5-10 mins before our server breezed by to say she would be with us in a minute. At the time the restaurant was only 60-70% seated. The entrees did arrive quickly, and were 80% correct. The server seemed like she was only there to take our orders and bring the check — very little interest beyond that.
The real issue was with the valet service. The service lost my keys after parking my SUV. They told me this only after I waited over 30 minutes for them to bring my vehicle. Approximately 20 minutes after finding out the keys were lost, I discovered that they had no idea where my SUV had been parked. The valet service was a total disaster. After waiting for over an hour, I was taken to my home to retrieve my spare key. The restaurant had no interest in helping either. The hostess told me that all was on the valet service — a service the restaurant contracted to represent THEM and serve THEIR guests!
While my keys were found the next day, the service only brought them to me after I insisted they do that. They expected me to come pick them up ... after they lost them! Twenty four hours after the fact, all was well. An evening that was to be a nice dinner followed by drinks elsewhere became an evening standing on a sidewalk, sweating from the humidity while a comedy of errors played out before me.
Our server, Joey was awesome! The food was great! Had so much fun playing foos ball and ping pong. We will definitely come back:)
Great food and a fun, casual vibe. The fried chicken on the fried chicken sandwich was amazingly good as was their 7-layer dip. The maple glazed salmon was also delicious but could’ve used a better veggie side and didn’t need the random pieces of bacon that seemed like an afterthought. Service was great, too. Even though we came to see the band, we sat way in the back so it wouldn’t be so loud and it was still really loud. That would be my only complaint. We’ll be back for sure.
I would have loved to give your restaurant a wonderful review. But I had a reservation for special occasion for my birthday. And I came in at exactly at 8pm . My waiter came to my table about twenty minutes later .
Although I asked for a booth. I was placed at a table too close to the stage .The band was performing and we could not speak to one another . Our main issue was everyone was being seated around us . Was placing their orders and receiving their meal . And we had not been approached by our waiter to even place our dinner order.. Well I could not locate my waiter . But a very kind busboy went out of his way and job to help us the whole evening. My friends were very disppointed so was I. The manager came after a period and finally explained about the kitchen and new menu. Something we didn't understand or have anything to do with. But If it was not for the out side view and bowling . The waiter had to many tables and I think he forgot about us.
I want to think the bus boy who was very professional and the manager for finally bringing be our food out at 9:39pm. And the
some what discount. But I hope they have a meeting prior before a busy night. My birthday was not a good one.
Horrible....Not just bad service...NO service.
First cocktails were in glass...second was in plastic cup ?? Really? $18 cocktail served in a plastic cup ?
Excuse was because band was playing....? Really?
We were dining inside not walking around.
Waitress was cluless!
Waited 25 mins just to get first glass of water...took 1/2 hour for apps and another 1/2 hour to get lousy food!
We went to Scout before seeing Ricki Derek at the Statler. Overall the food was excellent - the queso was great, the ribs fell off the bone, the burger was good (along with the fries). Their drinks were really good - the margarita had a sangria ice cube and yummy rim.
Service was ok...took quite awhile to get our drinks - they needed another bar tender.
I would definitely return - very fun place with good food.
Service was pretty poor
Very dark near ping pong tables. Food ordered at bar and then took a while to find us at pp tables. Bowling was shut off as a charity event going on// Annoying not knowing this ahead of time . Place was half full on a Friday night. Not much energy.. Expensive but cool place
Absolutely the worst service. Period.
Great place if you are not hungry and have all night! Waited 40 minutes for our table to be ready...with a reservation. When we sat down, took another 30 minutes to get a drink order. Food was the quickest thing! Good thing we ordered a stiff drink (off menu), waiter never came back to see if we maybe wanted to have another!
Slowest, worst service I’ve ever had. They forgot my meal, and we’re slow throughout.
Great server, great burger and fun atmosphere!
Cute place but charging $18 for a glass of wine is nuts..especially if you are pairing it with a chicken sandwich.
Food wasn’t to par but drinks were amazing. Server wasn’t able to leave us alone.
Great bday venue!!
We had a great experience at Scout! The decor is great. Fun place to have a nice meal, or play games. There is bowling, ping pong and foosball!! The food was incredible!! We had the fish and sliders as well as the butter fries. Delicious!! We also had the Devils on Horseback for an appetizer. I highly recommend!Melt in your mouth goodness!!
It was their second day open, so understandably, there were some glitches.
It's a fun place -- pool tables, ping pong tables, and a couple of bowling lanes. It is disappointing that you have to pay to play ping pong or to bowl (we didn't ask about playing pool). Ping pong is $10 an hour -- bowling is $40. We did play ping pong, but didn't bowl.
Food was fine mostly -- somewhat expensive for the quality. Chicken wings were not crispy or saucy -- just kinda there. Fried chicken was nicely cooked, but bland. Green beans were great! French fries were also yummy. Drinks are good but pricey. Warning -- the HOUSE chard was $18 a glass. Our server was very nice, but very, very slow. Very slow. Getting our tabs and getting paid out took a really long time, and I'm hopeful that was just because new systems and new staff.
Overall -- fun place to bring a group or to do a happy hour just because of the ambiance. Wouldn't come back for the food or drinks, though. Maybe with some time, things will improve.
