This is the second time my family and I went to celebrate a major milestone in our lives and the management and all staff members have treated us like royalty . I highly recommend this restaurant if you want a beautiful and wonderful experience with incredible menus and drink selections. Thank you

Great food, beautiful view and impeccable service. A party of 7, we sat outside for the view. It was cool, but there were heat lamps and blankets provided. The Cioppino was amazing…plenty of seafood, flavorful broth and great portion size. Would definitely recommend!

We ordered the ousters, the Brussel sprouts and the clam chowder, they where all delicious, but the only think I would say was about the sauce they gave with the ousters was no the best and our waiter almost never came around, I was looking around to see if anyone would look over so I could ask for some different sauces… no one for about 6 mins. I decided to go up to one of them that was behind a booth and ask, that was when they said they could bring me some to the table. That was the only thing I would say that’s negative about this place. Beautiful outdoor seating, and shade, it was a perfect day.

The view is breathtaking when you sit outside and the service was great. I had the pulled pork sandwich for lunch and it was delicious. The accompanying fries were cold however they were replaced promptly as soon as we made our server aware of this. My Rosè wine was deliciously chilled. Highly recommend.

Our dinner at Schooner's was so delicious. My daughter loves to order the seafood salad loaded with crab, Ahi and prawns. The Asian-inspired dressing is excellent. I had black cod with the best pineapple -ginger sauce. Our outdoor evening seating was perfect - a beautiful view, warmed by the heaters. The service was excellent - maybe the best we've had from a restaurant in a long time. Each staff member truly cared to make our meal special, yet gave us time to ourselves to enjoy our experience. Many thanks to Schooner's!

Schooner’s is inside the Monterey Plaza hotel and looks out onto the Monterey bay. Seating is exclusively outside and the heater was low on propane so I was freezing. I had clam chowder as a first course, it was good but a bit too salty. The main meal was a seafood salad, which was very good. One of my colleagues got a dish other than what he ordered so he had to wait for the right dish to get made. The food is very expensive.

Schooners never disappoints. Outstanding food, drinks, service and ambience. A must go to when in Monterey and a great alternative to the very touristy wharf. Not cheap, but nothing worth it ever is.

lunch for 4 with friends we hadn't seen in 15 years. The wine list was good. I ordered a local Carmel (Bernadus) Sauvignon Blanc and my husband ordered an Albarino - both were excellent. The 4 of us ordered the ceviche to start and it was excellent, fresh, and mildly acidic with lime and tomato, served with fantastic crispy tortilla chips that had just the right amount of salt. Our entrees included the blackened sea bass tacos, fish and chips (also used sea bass), and the Crab BLT roll. All of these were excellent. For dessert, we shared the berries and cream - a lovely panna cotta with fresh mixed berries and a crumbled pistachio topping for some crunch. Our water, Jacob, was friendly, attentive and helpful Definitely recommend Schooners.

Everything was exceptional- from being seated to wait staff, food and drinks! We are locals but do staycations from time to time and this restaurant is in our favorite local hotel. The views are amazing too! Would highly recommend this for any meal or even drinks/apps. 🙂
