Scena Wine Bar offers up Mediterranean fare in the downtown area of Darien. The family-owned restaurant opened in 2010 and has been pleasing customers in the area ever since. Scena Wine Bar has menus for bunch, lunch and dinner. Some of the popular options on the menu include the steamed clams, spicy salmon tartare, cider steamed mussels, ricotta gnocchi, fettuccini carbonara and grilled salmon corn succotash.

Scena Wine Bar also has a dessert menu including a cookie plate, tiramisu, apple pie and Nutella filled crepes. The restaurant has a wine menu with a number of different vintages of wine available.

I have eaten here often and had a good experiences but last night I was disappointed. I almost never comment on the service because people work hard but four people in my party of six asked for accommodations or small changes to their dinner selections and were flatly refused with no flexibility. Chalking it up to one bad night at an otherwise reliable nice place.

We thought the food was good. Unfortunately, the service was slow on a night the restaurant was maybe 50% capacity while having a full staff. Would not go back.

Love the food here and we frequent regularly. The service wasn’t great. The food portions were very small. Have gotten the same dish many times- there was 1 shrimp and 1 piece of lobster.

Loved it. We were there for birthday celebrations and they brought us a glass of processo for everyone at the table to toast. It was so kind and special.

Food was not good at all, ravioli was hard and not fully cooked. Server was rude and seemed annoyed when my friend who was asking questions about the menu due to her allergies. Too bad as really used to like Scena

I had visited Scena Wine Bar a few years ago and had a wonderful experience, which made my recent visit all the more disappointing. We went on a weekday evening, and the restaurant was nearly empty—only two other tables were occupied. Despite that, the cleanliness was unacceptable. The seat cushions were stained and covered in crumbs and bits of food. I actually had to clean off my own seat before sitting down, which immediately set a poor tone for the evening. The food, unfortunately, didn’t redeem the experience. We ordered the duck, which was chewy and served barely warm. Overall, the food was mediocre at best—not what I would expect at a place with Scena’s reputation or price point. To their credit, the presentation of the dessert was beautiful, and our waiter was attentive and pleasant throughout the meal. But sadly, that wasn’t enough to make up for the rest. In the end, I paid about $140, and it simply wasn’t worth it. I left disappointed and won’t be returning.

5-Star Review: A Perfect Mother’s Day Brunch Experience We had the most wonderful time celebrating Mother’s Day with brunch here! The outdoor seating was absolutely perfect — sunny, warm, and beautifully arranged, making it the ideal spot to relax and enjoy the morning. The cocktails were a standout — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully crafted. From mimosas to more creative house specialties, every drink was a hit. The food was delicious, with a great variety of options that pleased everyone in our group. What truly made the experience exceptional was the staff. They were wonderful, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure our visit felt special. They accommodated our requests with ease and genuinely made us feel welcome. They even let us move tables to a shady side of the patio once a table became available. All in all, a fantastic experience from start to finish. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a cheerful, high-quality brunch spot — especially on a special day like this. We’ll definitely be back!

Overall Scena was lack luster for what we were anticipating. The food was good, especially the seafood Tagliatelle but the rest of the dishes didn't blow us away. The service was ok, the server didn't check in on us as much and wasn't super friendly.
