Scarpetta’s name is derived from the familial gesture “Fare la Scarpetta!” an Italian expression that describes the gesture of taking the little boot-shaped piece of bread to soak of the remaining sauce left in the pot of one’s home kitchen. We represent the indulgent pleasure of savoring a meal down to its very last taste! The ambiance can be described as lightly understated. With an elegant approach to design all while simultaneously creating a chic, inviting, and inspiring environment. We have one of the best viewpoints at the Cosmopolitan that overlooks the Las Vegas strip, facing towards the Bellagio fountains. The fountains paired with our sultry mood lighting and smooth Italian classic music in the background, we foster an undeniably, effortless and romantic dining experience.

                                                                                                        It was a wonderful Italian culinary journey from the signature mushroom polenta to cavatelli pasta with its ragu was amazing. The charred octopus was equally outstanding and flavorful with its peppadew sauce. My two minor critiques would be that unfortunately the signature spaghetti was over cooked and not al dente and we requested to be seated at the window for a fountain view in our reservation which was made a month in advance, but upon arrival we were seated elsewhere and we were told it was more money which is a really money grab at a high end restaurant such as Scarpetta especially when we have sat there previously. Overall it was wonderful and the service was top notch.

                                                                                                        We had a months long reservation to celebrate our 39th anniversary which was noted by the restaurant. We had a table along a wall opposite a column. No view of anything other than where the servers put in their orders. Really disappointing. The food and service were good. But overall not what we were hoping for.

From the moment we walked in, we felt welcomed and taken care of. The service was truly exceptional—our waiter David was outstanding, and the rest of the team was just as impressive. Everyone was friendly, engaging, and genuinely interested in having a conversation with us. That kind of warmth and attentiveness is something we really value when traveling, and honestly, it’s a rare find these days. As for the food—absolutely phenomenal. The menu honors traditional Italian roots while adding just the right touch of creativity and elevation. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor, making it clear the kitchen takes pride in both authenticity and presentation.
