We had the buttermilk fried chicken , greens , and the mussels ! The food was great and the service was even better ! I will definitely come here again
Love Sawyer. Everything is always great from the staff to the wonderful food. Love the king crab legs and mussels and crazy good smoked trout salad.
They were able to seat us a few minutes before our reservation. Very pretty environment, but quite loud inside. They were having a tasting with Habit wines, which was really nice. The winemaker was there to give us info as we did the flight. Food was good but not particularly wonderful. Had the hush puppies, lobster roll and fried chicken sandwich. The chicken sandwich was probably the best, really yummy slaw. But by far the dessert of peanut butter pie was our favorite. I would go back just for dessert, but I’m not dying to eat the other dishes again.
Slow kitchen and very loud
Fantastic food with inventive and surprising flavors.
Easter Brunch with the family! Had a great time and food was good as always.
Always a great vibe
Lovely patio surrounded by plants. Friendly service and good food.
Very nice service. Nice setting.
Even with a reservation, it took 45 minutes to be seated at our table. The menu is varied and the food is deliciously well executed.
This is one of my favorite places in Los Angeles! Excellent food, service and ambience. California cuisine and fresh ingredients make this place a gem.
Exceptional food, great atmosphere, and friendly staff. The tartare, the hush puppies, and the trout are a must.
Very hip, silverlake aesthetic with lots of natural light and outdoor seating; great quality brunch including break from local bakery
Sawyer is always a favorite place to go. The service is tops, and the food is delicious and creative. Best Lobster Roll this side of Maine!
We found the food to be bland. The okra appetizer was plain awful. Dried up, old okra inside far too much breading. The main dishes weren't as bad as that, but they were just okay. Nothing special, not flavorful. I wish I'd ordered the fried chicken because that looked tasty. The fish with blood oranges was passable. The squash porridge was decent. The appetizers were all uneventful. And our bill for three people was $200, which seemed steep to me because we didn't go crazy. It's a pretty restaurant and the staff was nice enough, but I wasn't impressed enough with the food to return.
Despite having a reservation, the hostess seemed surprised we were there when we arrived. We were relegated to the patio, and our server seemed to forget that our section existed for most of the night. There was a piece of wax paper in my cheeseburger (probably used to separate the cheese slices). Just really sloppy work all around, very disappointing.
Charming space open to the street with outdoor patio in the back. Food was good... But not amazing. I was looking forward to the lobster roll, but it was slathered with too much mayonnaise & wayyyy too much dill that completely overpowered the ungenerous portion of lobster. Drinks were great & staff was very kind.
The shared plates were very good! The main dishes weren’t as good, sadly. The cocktail menu made up for the over cooked dishes we ordered. I would go again ,but not for dinner.
We started off with a 20 minute wait after overhearing our table was accidentally given away to another party. After placing our order our received a wrong main course meal and waited 15-20mins for the correct order. The waitstaff and the manager was extremely apologetic — A complimentary a beer and deserve was given for the inconvenience. The fried chicken/ free beer and deserve was good but definitely not worth the 40ish min wait.
I had the worst stomach pain all night. I liked the food but didn’t sit well:(
Delicious and great service. The Hygge drink was one of the most delicious cocktails I've had in a while. I was even able to take a few sips of the Old Fashioned, and I normally cannot stomach those. Every dish we ordered was yummy, and I was pleasantly surprised at how sufficiently sizable the portions were. The ambience was beautiful as well. Looking forward to coming back for happy hour, and to sit on the outdoor patio.
A very fun, lite and breezy place - nice layout and food was fine - we had a great time
We were seated quickly. The waiter took our orders. I ordered a Moscow Mule; my son ordered wine. The wine arrived with the oysters. Then the other orders began arriving. No Moscow Mule. We never saw our waiter again, so I asked someone else about my drink. When more food arrived, my son asked about the drink and was told she would check on it. Again no drink. (By then I was half way finished with dinner, so when another wait person stopped by, we said cancel the drink. When we got the check, the wait person asked, "Did you get the Moscow Mule?" This certainly wasn't a tragedy, but the service was generally very unprofessional and unreliable. The food was great. I would try this restaurant again to see if this evening was just an aberration.
Great awesome time.
Excellent meal. Relaxing pace to service. Didn't want to leave our table. Very comfortable.
Tasty mimosas. Delicious food. Sunny Sunday afternoon on the patio. Perfection.
New Year’s Day brunch, excellent service and pretty restaurant. Food was delicious although could have one or two more vegan options!
The 1st hostess that evening was very sweet who greeted. We arrived a bit earlier than expected and she directed us to the bar while we waited for our table. However, both the bartender and another 2nd hostess that evening stated the sits at the bar were reserved. I was quite confused. We later found out that it was because the 2nd hostess was reserving the sits for friends.
Food and drinks were average. Was underwhlemed by the whole experience. Server was nice but rest of staff seemed disengaged. Will not go back not do I recommend.
Was a Tuesday - so it was a little on the quiet side. Cocktails were really delicious and seasonal. Our food came out quickly (cause it was pretty quiet in the dining room).
The food here is so good. I was the only one who had been there before. The others in my group were all really pleased and would deffo go back again.
Love the staff & the mussels were DELISH! Casual, classy, & courteous unpretentious crew. Perfect!
The happy hour menu is a good value for the location. Service was great and the restaurant is lovely, but my food was NOT good. I ordered shrimp and grits. The shrimp was creamy in a bad way and the grits were flavorless and came in a fried block.
LOVE this place!!
The prices were very reasonable and the food was well worth its value. Our server Ross was hospitable and friendly. Beautiful space and ambience. Would love to come back to dine in the patio
Don't go here unless you enjoy horrible deafening music with your meal. We will not return. Food and service were fine but the noise we were subjected to meant no conversation with our friends...if you are going to inflict that on your patrons, warn them so they can choose somewhere more appropriate.
Very cool outdoor seating and excellent seafood.
My mother was visiting from Italy and she loved the oysters!
I will definitely come back with my friends.
It was ok but it’s not worth the price, the portions are not generous and the cooking is more basic than it sounds on the menu
brunch with my bestie
$9 carrot cake "muffin" I don't mind paying $9 for a dessert but when it taste like day old Costco muffins and it took 15 mins to get to the table.. really leaves a bad taste in your mouth (literally).
