The seatings made it very not private and we heard all the other diners. Most of them were quiet and nice and it was nice to even have a small talk with them but a few were too loud. I know it has something with luck here, you never know who will seat next to you, but arranging the seating a little distanced from each other would be great. The food was amazing and the staff were super friendly and helpful. I'd love to come back although the uncomfortable experience with loudness of a few fellow diners I found there.

Just a fantastic experience and a meal of quality. As you would expect all restaurants in the Savoy would be outstanding but if it’s also a Gordon Ramsey restaurant then you know it’ll be better than outstanding. My good ladies birthday and even though we’ve been before she was blown away by the wonderful and professional staff. The birthday cake was brilliant. Ambiance was great. As for the food just the best. Beef Wellington is a must. My good lady, who is a vegetarian, had the most wonderful and delicious bbq soy glazed aubergine. Can’t wait to go back

We had high expectations for our dinner here but we’re sorely disappointed with the experience. Firstly, we were sat next to a table who at the time of our seating we’re destroying the manager over their dining experience! Anyway… having come down to the Grill from the American Bar where we had just had the most wonderful couple of hours for our 20th Wedding Anniversary we were sat at a table behind the waiters station, which wasn’t ideal as you could hear them chatting about tables which obviously isn’t very professional but it did allow me to see how truly de-motivated the staff are in there. No smiles, no flair and definitely no personality shown. I wanted to order the bottle of wine that I’d chosen but our waiter refused to take the order, referring me to the Sommelier. I said I didn’t need them as I knew what I wanted but they insisted, I then had to wait another 5 minutes for them. This isn’t a good idea guys and doesn’t make for a streamlined service. Wine turned up, opened, but she hadn’t bought glasses to put it in waited another 3 minutes for that. Starter, 6 Oysters and the Kingfish Crudo. The kingfish in my opinion was cut too thick, so wasn’t a melt in the mouth dish as I believe it should be, and my wife only received a 3 Oyster portion! Pointed out it was supposed to be 6, again no emotion shown by our waiter, just fumbled some words out to apologise and then waited another 15 minutes for the other 3. Main, Côte de Boeuf, which was lovely, perfectly cooked, but again for such a high end restaurant, on a Tuesday, why haven’t you got all the side dishes available? So no tenderstem broccoli for us. Also, for a 2 person main, why only 1 portion of chips to share? Come on, you can stretch to a portion each! So overall, a disappointing experience. You’d think that it would be the 5 star service that you’d believe it to be, in such a great hotel, with a great man in charge, but unfortunately not. Spend elsewhere, Smith & Wollensky, The Ivy, but not here.

Our chauffeur took us to the entrance and we were greeted very warmly by Rob the doorman who guided us through the entrance. And what an entrance, beautiful decor and opulence we have not experienced before made me think I made the right choice coming to the Savoy Grill for my wife's 60th birthday. Entering the grill we were greeted very warmly and shown to our table which was a booth, this added to a more romantic meal and experience with the decor again looking amazing. Our meal was wonderful with the Beef Wellington most definitely the best fillet we've ever had and the champagne was delicious. Well done to all the dining staff who were all welcoming, warm and friendly. When our evening was over, we didn't think to go to the concierge to book us a taxi but went outside and asked the doorman Rob who immediately walked to Stand Street and flagged one down for us.....we felt so stupid but most impressed with his passion and helpfulness he deserves an award. Overall we can not thank the Savoy enough for a magical evening and making so many memories. Many thanks Daniel & Joanne Burnett
