   This is our 4th time here and once again the food and service was exceptional from the seating to the attentiveness of the the staff always friendly and welcoming… Love love love there soufflé for starters and the fillet steak cooked to perfection and the pist da resistance is the tart tartan with ice cream 🍦 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

   Fantastic meal. Really well looked after. It was my partners 60th birthday celebration and we really enjoyed it. He had the legendary beef Wellington and said it was the best he's ever had. I had the chicken and it was so well presented. Couldn't fault a thing. Service was excellent. Great recommendation to have the apple tart tatin it was amazing.

   Food great as always and the service is spot on. Has definitely become more informal over the years which has made it a bit less special. Dress code is smart casual but other diners in track suits didn’t feel right for the quality of restaurant.

   The beef wellington and service was exceptional. The mushroom side dish was insanely salty. I have a disabled mother, so having the toilet so far away from the restaurant was not great.

   We had the 5 course tasting menu. Every course was absolutely delicious. Excellent food in beautiful surroundings. All the staff were fantastic during service. Thoroughly recommend.

    Sometimes an eponymous restaurant lives up to the hype; and this is one of those rare cases. Befote discussing the much vaunted kitchen, let’s hear it for the beautiful building, the decor, the menu, the service, the flowers, the thoughtful arrangement of the tables. All perfection. Remove the badly -dressed clientele: baseball caps, t-shirts, clothes that frankly should never leave the privacy of one’s own backyard and you have a restaurant to which repeat visits are deserved. The thoughtful, straightforward menu is perfect - just peruse the website and you’ll be booking! The cocktail list is classic with twists. I’m sure the wine list is equally good. (Lunchtime was the time off my visit so a delicious vodka cocktail sufficed. The service was delightful: understated, friendly and never obsequious. And the food? Sublime! No wrong notes, no frills, just wonderful ingredients with perfect cooking. One thing, when a restaurant is clearly not needing the table, maybe wait for the client to ask for the bill. I can’t wait to return and will maybe do so in the evenjng in order to enjoy the undoubtedly well-chosen wine list.
