   We took friends from Vancouver on Saturday night and they were tremendously impressed. We had been talking up the restaurant and they were not disappointed. We did the chef’s tasting menu with pairings which knocked it out of the park. Love this restaurant and if you don’t go you are missing the best restaurant in Victoria.

   People need to get out and try this restaurant, it is the leader out of the top three Restaurants for Victoria as far as I’m concerned when it comes to customer service, Chef creations, and quality of the dishes. One of my favourite places to eat in Victoria, the only tiniest thing I can say is for the price it hurts my heart sometimes when I leave still hungry... Which only seems to happen if I don’t get the tasting menu. I wish there was someway that if my partner or friend or guest doesn’t want the tasting menu that I can still have it and they can order whatever they want and watch me eat... honestly. It’s worth being rude for! Ha ha ha!

   We had the Chef's tasting menu (dinner) and a cocktail ("658") each. The food and drinks were very flavourful and beautiful. Courses had wonderful combinations of flavours. Each course was freshly made. Service was friendly and attentive. We dressed up for the occasion (dress for me and a suit for my partner) however there were diners in less formal attire. It was a relaxed enough atmosphere for either. Would definitely recommend this restaurant to a "foodie" (and anyone who values fine food and service).

   We met friends for brunch and everyone’s meal was amazing. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was very relaxing. Overall a completely enjoyable experience. We’ll be back for sure!

    We enjoyed a Sunday brunch with friends we hadn’t visited with for a while. When we arrived we asked for the music to be turned down so we could talk. The server was very obliging. Overall a good experience.

    An excellent restaurant with very fine dining. We celebrated our anniversary and were welcomed with a cup of bubbly. We took the tasting selection and it was a great selection of various meals full of a subtle mix of flavors and textures. The presentation was original. The dessert was not overly sweet and very light, melting in the mouth. I strongly recommend this restaurant.

    We had a superb brunch - the food was delicious and beautifully presented. Service was friendly and responsive. Only complaint was the music level was too loud which made it difficult to converse.

    We had the fixed course Valentine's day menu. The first item on the menu (soup) took 55 minutes to arrive. When we expressed concern we were told it was a 2 hour tasting menu, even though we were half way through. No apologies. The server was nice however and tried to speed it up. We wound up eating the last dinner course in the few minutes we had before we had to get going (over 2 hours into the dinner) and took the dessert in a box to go. The food was pretty good but not worth $250.

    It was our first visit to Saveur but it won't be our last! Exceptional meals- so tasty and creatively presented. My husband had the Dine Around special and was VERY impressed! I ordered an appetizer ( soba noodles) and the chicken from the main menu, thinking ti wouldn't be big as the 3 course Dine Around presentation. I was proven wrong- and didn't mind one bit! I even ordered dessert ! The staff were attentive and the ambience was great. The owner has made this old building into a gem and his kitchen is five stars!

    I went for the Dine Around Victoria menu. The flavours were not something I have had in that combination before and as quite the surprise. Really good cocktails as well. It is pricier than most restaurants in the city but worth the trip.

    Been here a number of times and am impressed every time. Rob does a magnificent plate and the service is seamless, professional and engaged. I highly recommend Saveur for one of Victoria’s best fine dining experiences.

    We went for brunch, which was absolutely delicious! From the moment we walked into the restaurant, the person who greeted us, was not especially welcoming or friendly. We were not asked by our server how our meal was. I had to request refills on my water, as well as coffee. Something rather basic, but she seems to be lacking. We had the other server, Brittany, step in and refill our beverages, as well take our finished plates away. After having our server walk past our table empty handed.

    I love the feel of the space, warm industrial loft feel. Menu has all the clasics with a Saveurs twist. A must try brunch spot with friends.

    Let’s start with the good: The food was amazing - no question about it! The steaks were charbroiled slowly to perfection. The aromas of the food were wonderful and mouth watering. Bravo to the chef - the meal was inspired! While we have nothing but positive to say about the food, the overall experience at Saveur as a whole left us a bit disappointed. The front of house has a lot of opportunities for improvement. We found the service to be confusing and distracting, as four different servers were looking after us - sometimes coming to our table with the same question twice. The wine list was ok, the bar was pedestrian. We observed around the restaurant that good bottles of wine we’re not decanted. When we ordered our bottle of wine early and asked for it to be opened so it could breathe, or request was ignored and it was opened after we finished our cocktails. At the price point, we really expected a more organized and polished experience. At the price point, there are better options in Victoria. Not sure we’ll be back.

    The white chocolate amuse bouche was terrific, but otherwise the food was just okay. Overcooked eggs, and the heuvos rancheros were dry with overcooked beans and a too crispy tortilla.

    Best meal we have had in a long time. Exquisite decor, great bar and attentive staff. There was a little delay in getting our reserved table and a longer delay between two courses of the tasting menu. The staff was super apologetic and when we went to pay the bill, they would not take our money. We protested and they insisted in not taking our money. We were slightly embarrassed, but we will for sure be loyal customers on any Victoria visit and we are recommending this place to everyone, not because of the comped meal, but because the food was so incredible and the place is so beautiful, we want everyone to experience it.

    This was the second time we've eaten at Saveur and, as was the case the first time, the experience was superb on all fronts. The servers for our anniversary celebration were Janice and Ryan and both were top-notch - knowledgeable, friendly, efficient and entertaining to boot! This restaurant is one of our fave top 3 in Victoria and will continue to be as it just keeps delivering quality culinary treats and great service. If at all possible, I try to make sure to thank the kitchen staff and because the Saveur kitchen is open, it's easy to get a message to them. Terrific job, team! Thank you so much. Wish we had a joint like yours here in Nanaimo! Oh - we were there on a cold, drizzly evening and the inside temperature of the restaurant was perfect. No drafts - not too hot, not too cold, just right...even by the big front window!

    Absolutely outstanding experience from beginning to end. Food was excellent albeit a bit small in portion sizes, but oh so tasty! We got the “menu” which was five courses of awesome. Excellent ambience and service was the best we’ve ever experienced. It is a must do in Victoria for a special occasion.

    The appetizers were very good.Both beef carpaccio and pork belly were worth coming but the main dishes were disappointing.Too many quite disconnected elements on the plate .
