We were having an anniversary dinner and the entire night could not have been better. The pre dinner drinks were great. The food was outstanding and all of the staff was very friendly and accommodating
The oxtails that I ordered were sooo good but I didn’t like the set up my opinion like the table and chairs you do go up some stairs to enter the restaurant but they were sanitized well
Service was efficient and fast during Covid in and out
The meal was wonderful! Service was superb! Excellent time, excellent place!
Service was slow, food was cold and orders were wrong.
I was annoyed that I made reservations a month in advanced and still was told I had to wait due to my table wasn’t available because there were busy for sweetest day. That was the whole reason I made the reservation. We had to wait outside due to Covid and they had no seating outside. Our waiter didn’t give use proper attention. We waited on our drinks for 20 minutes. They food was ok, the risotto was under cooked but had good flavor. The atmosphere was nice but music was loud. I did like that they give you bottled water.
the food was excellent 💗 our server was very nice. all in all i had a great time for my birthday !
Savannah Blue was perfect! And our waitress was amazing... i loved the covid precautions they took
Love it here, food is delicious.
One of my favorite restaurants! I’m happy to see they survived covid and that they are back open! They’ll forever have my business.
The food was great and the service was great will definitely be back
It’s one of my favorite spots in Detroit! Love it!
Great Ambiance; Good food! I've been pre-COVID and it was amazing however its not as vibrant as it was. I cant wait to be able to enjoy my experience instead of limiting my time to a hour and fifteen minutes.
The management was very rude considering it was my birthday and I expressed to them why I was dressed accordingly. They then made a big deal and held me at the door for 15 minutes to inquire on if I’m able to enter the building because I stomach showing. Overall this could have been easily handled if they were at least a bit considerate.
I am one that never eats soul food out at restaurants it’s just not good. But the fried chicken I had was very moist and the macaroni and cheese was good as well..
Only issue with this visit was we had a reservation and the restaurant appeared to be behind schedule and we had to push our entire night back about an hour do to this issue.
I would not suggest making a reservation. I made a reservation for my wife and I on a Saturday night. We arrived 15 mins early but we were still instructed to wait an additional 30 mins. Highly inconvenient.
Apparently they are over booking reservations during peak hours. I would suggest to go during lunch or off peak if you want to sit down directly.
The food was overall good. I enjoyed the Oxtail entree. My wife ordered the chicken entree. We did enjoy most of the food. The Mac and cheese was cold but tasty. If it was hot I'm sure it would have been great.
The service was terrible. We were seated for 20 mins before our drink order was taken. We might have been there for longer if I didn't ask the manager for help. Once our waitress returned with our drink order we immediately ordered dinner - she tried to run off but we insisted. After we ordered our food we didn't see her again until she brought the bill. Food runners delivered our food and another passing waitress helped us with hot sauce and an extra napkin. We wanted to order more drinks but never had a chance.
the service was nice but kinda new. But every was fine.
The atmosphere and the music was very settling. The food was very good. I would go back again when I visit Detroit again. Dress code is enforced which I love.
We had such an amazing time dining at Savannah Blue. I’ve already recommended it several times over and am looking forward to the next time I’m able to go. Food, service, ambiance, all exceeded my expectations.
The food was delicious and our server Diamond D did an excellent job...we’ll definitely be back
Great food! We made a reservation and our table was ready promptly. The hostesses and wait staff were very kind and hospitable! Music was great and atmosphere calm and enjoyable. There is a casual dress code but nothing too strict. We enjoyed ourselves!
They have done an excellent job during these times to ensure social distancing. I felt quite safe with the new seating arrangement.
Open table only allowed me to make a reservation for 2 and in the remarks I request 3 more tables of 4 to have my requested 15 seats. When we got their we finally got our seating but the managers weeks earlier said yo reserve thru open table. Our group dies a dinner once a month 10 to 15 or more every time..so open table needs to coordinate those requests to owner manager
This place is lovely... I had the catfish which was cooked just right very flavorful and seasoned crispy and the greens and yams where amazing nice atmosphere good upscale southern food and good drinks also I had the Cherry blast -(not sure if it was called the cherry blast but it started with cherry lol) it was good with a great kick to it
First time everything was great!
Very nice ambiance, good food, great service and music.
Highly recommended. Did not have to wait to be seated. Waiter was polite.
Stumbling upon Savannah Blue was the highlight of our trip to Detroit! The ambiance was just right and our host was sweet and attentive. She recommended the fried chicken and my husband and I both agree that it was the best fried chicken we've ever had. I'm also pretty sure their yams come directly from heaven. We'll never forget our experience and how amazing everything was. We hope to visit again soon!
The waitress was terrible!!! She came to the table 3 times our whole time during our visit. Forgot to bring things we asked for several times! The food was just ok not something I would rush back to get.
The space was clean and everyone was nice! Food was amazing!
Food delicious. Good service. Social distancing inside good. Hope to return
From the moment we stepped in, the customer service is great and the food is even better! Definitely will be back!
The Staff Were Hospitable. We Had a Very Enjoyable Experience .
The Food Was Fantastic. 😊
They confused our reservation and almost didn’t seat us. We received the wrong information earlier that day. The food was fine, but our waiter Mike was GREAT!
Always a great place to enjoy food and drinks. Social distancing was achieved.
The entire experience was very nice.
We were in Detroit for the night from another event and we wanted to make the most out of it so found a place just on maps to try. We were impressed. Some of the best most filling food I’ve had and service (Mike was our server) and ambiance were amazing. It didn’t feel overly busy so go try this place if you haven’t. It was awesome.
It was ok. Nothing about the experience makes me want to rush back.
Almost everything was amazing Friday night, 09/11/20. Our waitress, African American young lady w/curly hair (can’t remember her name) was bomb! The food was what i was expecting. Crab cake was great and oxtail/risotto was spectacular. The few issues was my cocktail from the bar took a bit of time as well as the wait from course one to course two. I understand. But w/the spaced seating i expected more timely food. I get it. Whatever! The food was still great so I’ll take the wait. Great Job guys! -Earl III
