I ordered the special : veal bolognese. It was served in fettuccine. The dish was superb. Sirena, the bartender/server was friendly, knowledgeable, professional and efficient. I was surprised that on a Friday night, the restaurant was virtually empty. Perhaps the location, away from the energetic Atlantic avenue is an obstacle. But that aside, the food and service warrant a larger clientele.
We ate here twice this week, each time with a different group of friends who had never eaten here before. Everyone was happy with the experience and said they would be back again soon.
Love this place! Great food. Great service. My only complaint, as always, is the chairs. They are very uncomfortable and slippery. The addition of cushions would make them much more comfortable.
Service was terrible and the Food presentation was really bad. The mozzarella bar was excellent
There were six of us. We had been there a few times last winter and loved it. Everything was as good as we remembered.
Now there is live music, great as background or to make special requests...which we did. Singer Tony was happy to please
Our server, Mike, was very attentive.
But....please bring back 50% off Mondays! We missed it!
Incredible menu, with delicious perfectly prepared dishes made from fresh, high quality ingredients. Wine flights distinctive and couldn’t have had a more attentive or charming server.
One of our “ musts” when we’re in the area. So many choices easy to make multiple return visits.
Great food and service, but the live weekend music gets a little loud.
Second time I’ve ordered the lamb shank with risotto and it’s a winner.
My friend ordered the skirt steak and it was cooked perfectly.
Really enjoy the food here, and the location avoids the mayhem on the avenue.
Web site said half price Monday. The bill was adjusted to accommodate us but we were told they were no longer doing half price Monday.
There was a party it was very noisy.
Food was great.
GOOD FOOD GREAT SERVICE.. GREAT PLACE. ONE OF OUR VERY FAVORITE PLACES...
My third time at the place.
Food is amazing and the service is friendly.
Fish in parchment paper is great, and steaks are at par with the steakhouses.
Too bad the deals are all gone till May.
Very noisy. Food very salty. Had to send it back. Ordered seafood paella. Could not eat orzo.
If want to enjoy dining there do not go on Mon before season starts when food 1/2 price. Noisy, wait with Rez, service fair and not always get what order. Try in season ...much better.
Very crowded on this night as it was the last Monday of half priced menu items. The break basket is excellent and I am especially fond of the accompanying whipped cheese. Fir starters we chose the arancini, fabulous, and the artichokes, not so much. Dinners were veal Milanese, veal Marsala, and the lamb shank, which was gargantuan in size. We also had an order of spaghetti with garlic and oil. We washed it all down with 2 bottles of wine.
Delicious, convient, neighborhood restaurant quality food. Parking is easy.
Love the place. Had a couple of issues last time I went though. Went there for the music, but the singer wasn't singing because someone complained the music was too loud for them while they ate. My food was warm, not as hot as it should have been. Service is very good, food is choice is excellent, happy hour wine. I'll be back.
Much to noisy with music
The food was very tasty, but my filleted fish had many bones. Server was pleasant, but food serves was slow. It was a very busy Saturday nite, noise level was up, and with live music, conversation was difficult We would return, but not on a Saturday nite.
We used to love this place. However their business motto of bringing the masses by giving deep discounts has finally caught up with them . How on earth can they expect to keep up quality and quantity of quality when they are giving away the house for 1/2 price on the entire menu on mondays plus whatever specials for the rest of the week.
It is a shame cause they obviously don’t know the demographics of the locusts that will come and ravage them and move on to the next place without a second look back.
Sardinia Delray is an elegant restaurant with superbly prepared food. Great happy hour. Though they are busy the noise level, even with live entertainment, acoustically allows for conversation. The staff and management are attentive and knowlegeable.
Very noisy, bad bad acoustics!! Need to do something about that, walls, ceiling! Great music but we could hardly hear him!!!
Great service by Chip. We were pleased to get half priced food and terrific wine specials. We started with arancini , which were a tad different ..couscous around ground lamb! Absolutely delicious.... great bread basket too with a whipped cheese spread instead of butter or oil. Dinners were veal chop Milanese , skirt steak and an order of spaghetti in garlic oil to complement. Portions were large...in fact..just finished a substantial lunch. Entrees were very good.
Best Burrata! Awesome Veal Meatball appetizer! Eggplant is delish! Skirt Steak rocks! Very tender. Yellow Tail Snapper is good, when they have. Next visit I will try a pasta dish.
Great Italian restaurant. We found this gem through friends earlier this year and have returned multiple times. Joe our server is great. Highly recommend!
Always so special.
The food was extraordinaryily good! We really enjoyed the fresh bread and the spread was heavenly. The service was very attentive and professional. They had great happy hour prices and dinner specials. We noticed that the bars were full with people just enjoying the happy hour with appetizers. We really enjoyed our meal. The wine list is extensive and very good. Overall....a great experience and my wife is Italian.
Our party of four had a wonderful experience. Everything we ordered was exceptional. Of special note was the rib-eye steak. It was so perfectly seasoned with a great crust, tender and cooked medium rare. Also, our waiter, Nino, was very attentive and accommodating. Overall, excellent.
Not only was the food as good as usual, they had entertainment on our visit that was excellent and fun.
I have had many excellent experiences at this restaurant in the past. But this evening was a disappointment, at least food wise. Carolina, the bartender/server was great as usual - she is friendly, attentive, and efficient. I ordered a Paella (Sardinian Couscous instead of rice) with lamb and mushrooms. Unfortunately, the lamb was cut into such small pieces that it was virtually indistinguishable from the mushrooms. Even if you picked out individual bites of lamb, it barely tasted like lamb, and was not at all a rewarding experience. Because they were running a Monday night promotion with all food items discounted by 50%, I decided to say nothing, nor ask for the dish to be removed from my bill.
When Carolina saw I had not finished it, she assumed I might want to take it home. It was only then that I mentioned my displeasure with the dish. Without my asking or even suggesting, she spoke to management, and graciously took one glass of wine off my check. I will not be ordering this dish again, but will definitely be returning to the restaurant.
The ambience and the food are outstanding. This is a beautiful Italian restaurant right here in Delray Beach away from the masses on Atlantic Avenue. You do not need a special occasion to dine at Sardinia.
Some good, some bad. First the good: two of us had the branzino, and thought it was very good, though a bit smallish for the price. Also had the Orecchiette with boar sausages, rapini finely chopped, & pinenuts, which was fine, and the Paccheri with veal meatballs and tomato asparagus, which was very good. The four large divers scallops were also very good. Best: there was a small plate of a white spread for the bread basket which I believe was burrata of some type (either that or cream cheese!) - and it was delicious.
The bad: the mussels with fava beans in tomato sauce was likely the worst mussels dish I ever had - the mussels were like spider-web raisins, and the sauce was unbelievably salty. Note to self: do not eat mussels unless you open 4-5 of them to determine overall quality of the dish. Do NOT open and eat one at a time, hoping the next one will be better! Also, our waiter was a veteran one (and I have had this experience before) who was neither happy, nor patient with my tablemates. It is not a job he enjoys, I would bet.
I would have to believe there are better dining experiences for good Italian food.
Food was great. There was pleasant live music. The couscous paella was excellent and so was the branzino. Great experience overall.
I had a great time and enjoyed everything and the food was delicious
Two hours and no entree. And no acknowledgment or sympathy or comping anything. Apps were good. They said deeply discounted drinks were standard when there was live entertainment. I suspect it was get you drunk so you won’t notice your food is MIA. Another thought - dont you think the owner/manager would put In an apron and get into the kitchen? . There was ONE person cooking for The whole place.
Waiter Chip did a great job recommending and servicing our dinner.
We usually go here on a Tuesday night. It's a bit quieter than on the weekend. I love the idea that you can order half portions of the pasta dishes. They have a great wine list and good small bites at the bar for good prices. We have never been disappointed.
Took to long for our meal to arrive and we were seated at 6:10. Music much too loud
So fun ! Had Multiple singers!!
Raucous unmannerly crowd. Good singer but much too loud. Too noisy to talk to or hear table mates. One hour and twenty minutes to get dinner served. Mussels were empty shells only. Waiter was not pleasant.
Beautiful decor. Waiter last Week was terrific. Waiter this week not so much. Never checked our empty water glasses. We asked for 2 checks, but he put all on one. Told us twice thatmeal would be out in 10 min. Wrong. Reserv. was 6:30pm, but our main course came 1.5 hr later. We finished at 8:40pm. Food is good. Live music was GREAT ! (3 separate vocalists) Our guests were unhappy about 2 hr dinner,
but music made it bearable.
We waited for more than an hour for our food. Service was pretty slow. The rabbit was pretty tasty but not much of it. The Cornish Game Hen was nice and the sauce used was very good. I think the slow service would keep us from returning.
