   We have enjoyed dining at Santa Fe Cafe for many years here on the island. We brought guests visiting the island this evening. My husband and I arrived early and had time to sit for a few moments. During that time, I noticed dirty windows as the sun shone through strongly. We were in the corner table and there was no curtain to shade my husband from the sun. Then I notice how dirty the floor was. I wanted to place my bag on the floor and it just felt dirty. I think it was the first time I noticed that the decor is a bit tired. Maybe time for a clean up and reno?? Our guests enjoyed the grouper. I had the painted desert soup and chicken tacos. I found the tacos to be lacking in flavor. I had more barbeque sauce brought to the table. The beans and rice also lacked flavor. I added salt. My first time ordering tacos and I will not have that again. They should be extraordinary tacos in a venue like this. For me, it was really lacking tonight.

   We love the Tex/Mex food choices at Santa Fe. We had the Con Queso dip and the Chicken Quesadilla as appetizers. Both were excellent. We completed our dinner with the Fish Tacos. They were all delicious and were loaded with red fish.

   We love this restaurant! Make a reservation each time we are in HHI. Food is awesome! One small issue, the table we had was too small.

   Outstanding quality and preparation of ingredients. We enjoyed our meals here better than in Santa F, New Mexico .Of course, there was no blackened redfish anywhere in Santa Fe.

   Great rooftop bar with guitarist; excellent pre meal experience. Food is delicious. Variety of options and that we have tried have been delicious.

    We have been to Santa fe many times. Every time we come to Hilton Head we make sure to go there a couple of times. I love the food and especially recommend the painted dessert soup!
