Sangiovese at Ironworks
The food is always great. The service is always good, however the last time the service was excellent. Anthony was our server and we will ask for him again. We consider Sangiovese one of the best Italian restaurants in Indy.
The atmosphere was great, not to loud drinks were good, I had fish which was pretty good my husband had chicken Parmesan. For him it was just alright mind you he’s Sicilian Italian, and it hard to compete when you have grow up with Italian food your whole life
Our waiter, BJ, was great. Outstanding service with no push.
Great service. Great food. Nice atmosphere for dinner. Would absolutely go again.
We selected this restaurant in part because the reviews suggested it was quiet and suitable for a date. We were admittedly troubled when we walked in to music so loud we couldn't have a conversation. At our request, the wait staff did turn down the volume but the betrayal had already occurred. The food didn't disappoint. Of special note was the heirloom salad and tiramisu.
sad we didn’t see Kate or sit in Randy section . ion exiting saw delaney that refer and family that refer my daughter to work that. isabel came from college just to eat there and see old friends . sad didn’t reconnect
server okay , hard to ask for everything . water , lemons, oil , cheese and cracker pepper instead of her offering anything ,, she is a sit and!serve no more . no wow fun factor!
Great experience for our first visit to celebrate our 10 year anniversary
Great food and drinks in a nice quiet atmosphere. We started with the TORTA DI CAPRINO which was really good and didn’t have a real pungent goat cheese flavor.
The pasta was so good that my girlfriend actually finished her entire bowl of SPAGHETTI FRA DIAVLO. I usually never have a problem finishing my portions and my FARFALE CON FUNGHI was really good as well. The portions are very reasonable and our waiter was really nice. He even offered us a free dessert for my girlfriend’s birthday. Get the Tiramisu!! Overall it was a good evening and we will be back!!
High quality Italian dishes, good wine list and great service
The food was not good for the price.. Small portions and tasted like canned food. Not impressed at all. Won't return
Birthday dinner. Fish was overcooked but they took care of it
Loved the food and service. Lasagna was awesome.
Amazing food and great service. Made a wonderful evening complete.
Went here for our anniversary, quiet, romantic, and of course great food!
One of our favorites. Always great!
Meat / Fish was overcooked. Spending $300 for 4 people I expect to have a delicious meal.
Fantastic! This is always our 1st stop coming in from Chicago! Great Food and People!
It went very well in accommodating for my wife and I for a quiet romantic evening. Our waiter was on point in helping us pick out not only delicious food but a great bottle of wine as well. I will be coming back for more delicious dishes.
Sangiovese was not as good as it was before Covid. My dining companion and I concluded they must have a new chef.
Service and food are always outstanding. Chris, Katie, Brando, and the rest of the staff always make it a great food experience. Food, cocktails and ambience are always outstanding.
You must go and get the roasted tomato and red pepper soup topped with fresh crab. It’s delicious!
Food was really good! Some of the food is not worth the price point but the tomato basil soup was incredible! Also the waitress was sweet but didn’t remember to bring the bread to our table until we asked after we noticed everyone else with some halfway through our meal.
Just a date for devour Indy!
We decided to give it a try since it was on Devour and we could sample different items. My drink was fantastic, the Caesar was great and then the entree fell flat. I had a shrimp pesto dish and it just tasted like salt. The tiramisu was probably one of the worst I have ever had. Barely any coffee flavor and drizzled with a bunch of Hershey’s syrup. Overall it wasn’t anything that would make me want to return.
Love everything about this restaurant!!! I’ve never had a bad experience here!!!
Date Night made exceptional (again) by Sangiovese - food, service (Samantha was awesome!), and atmosphere. Will most definitely be back.
As always I had a great meal at Sangiovese this weekend. Friendly staff and incredible food!
We had the best waitress named Angela who was there for any of our needs. We had some great conversations but she gave us enough space since I was out for dinner for date night. The food was amazing along with drinks as well. I highly recommend going there for any occasion and especially asking for Angela as your server.
This was my fiancé and I's first time here. We decided to come to celebrate my birthday and because it was Devour Indy. Our experience was fantastic. We both ordered from the Devour menu. It came with a cocktail and we both decided to try this Lemoncello Spritzer w/ Blueberries at our servers recommendation. It was quite tasty. Definitely didn't need another drink because it was pretty strong. I had the Zuppe Du Bisque. (basically tomato bisque w/ lump crab meat added) Absolutely delicious. My fiancé got the Caesar Salad which he liked. My main course was the Fettuccini Bolognese. Very good. He ordered a fish entrée that is not on their normal menu. It was a really light whitefish (maybe sea bass) w/ this cream sauce and sautéed veggies. It was amazing. He was very happy with his choice. And then we ordered the Tiramisu and Cannoli's for dessert. The Tiramisu was definitely better but they were both yummy. Our server was just fantastic too. She gave great recommendations and always checked to see how we were doing. So friendly and personable. We were both talking about how much we loved our meals and would want to come back. And then our server comes over with a free appetizer coupon for our next visit. Now we will most certainly be back. I can't say enough how awesome our visit was. And what I great pick for my birthday!!!
Aside from a few people walking to the restroom without their masks it was perfect!!! I’ll be back before devour ends. Andrew was a wonderful server. Will request him every time.
Great food, service and atmosphere. Can’t wait to return soon.
Stayed at Ironworks Hotel and after traveling all day wanted to grab a meal close to hotel. This is a small gem. Food, libations and service was top notch. Will definitely be back.
Everything was great and one of the best meals I have ever had.
Great food, service was excellent-peaceful, enjoyable atmosphere.
This visit ticked all the boxes. Drinks, appetizers, mains and dessert were all on point. Service (waiter’s name was Hunter) was prompt and polite, and well-informed. Look forward to returning.
Hidden gem! Quiet, pleasant atmosphere, and great food!
Outstanding restaurant. The service and food are Outstanding. We had shrimp appetizer, Tomato bisque, and a Caesar salad. Outstanding For entrees my wife had a pasta with reduce and shrimp, and I had Osso Bucco. The Osso is the best I have had. Outstanding place
We always love dining at Sangiovese! My husband tried a dish he had never had and said it was his new favorite!
Great atmosphere, food, and beverages. Social distancing was in place and we had an enjoyable evening
Staff and food were outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal
