Food was delicious! Service was great! It was a little noisy when we initially got there, but it was busy with a few birthday parties there. So totally understandable. We will definitely be back!!!

Three of us dined here on Jan 2nd and have mixed reviews. We had a generous amount of bread, but it was rather chewy and bland even with the flavored olive oil.
I split a Mista with a friend and the portions were still over sized. Maybe they missed the point of a split. My wife had Penne Emmeliana, and it had good flavor but incredibly salty.
The Pollo de Parmagiano was good on top of my spinach substitue for pasta, but again an oversized portion from the dark ages. My friend had the salmon entree and for such a high price, it was just OK. The fish was completely cover with tomatoes, which is a no no in the culinary arts. Always looks like you're trying to hide something. The Sangiovese Sossaregale was a nice wine. A good red for our two entrees. Our friend tasted a Prosecco but it was not up to his standards so declined.
We did not have the house made Tiramisu, but did enjoy our premade chocolate mousse cake and the spumoni bombe.
The server Angelene was outstanding and you should request her if you decide to patronize the place. She handled any special requests quite well and even made extra inquiries for us on certian items. I would still recommend the place, but with precautions. If you are a big eater then you will be at home. If not you will need a TOGO box.

Everything was great with the exception of the music, it was way to loud for normal conversation - especially to hear our waitress when she was talking.
Other than that the food and service were great.

Took my girlfriend there on New Years Eve. The atmosphere was nice & romantic. The service was wonderful & the the food was rather tasty! Would for sure visit again & recommend it!

Our server was great. He was attentive and friendly. The food was excellent. My wife and I share the goat cheese pie appetizer and veal picatta. Both were delicious. I plan to go back the next chance I get.

Sangiovese does a great job with social distancing. The service and food were wonderful. Highly recommend the restaurant. For those who cannot eat out at the restaurant, take-out service is available.

I love going to Sangiovese at Ironworks. Never disappoints. I highly recommend the bruschetta as an appetizer, you will not be disappointed.

We had always enjoyed dining at Sangiovese, but our experience was not good as far as the food quality we were used to. The salad was fair. I ordered the special which was a halibut. The sauce that came with it was very bland and just not tasty at all. I was offered it with a different sauce, the piccata, and it was much improved. The plating was awful: small plate with a big mound of food smushed together. Our waiter was excellent though.

Celebrated our daughter's 18th birthday and upon arriving at our table, the hostess had created small separate chalkboard signs with "Happy Birthday Ariana" on them. She was served a birthday dessert with a candle as well. We enjoyed the experience!

The food is always great. The service is always good, however the last time the service was excellent. Anthony was our server and we will ask for him again. We consider Sangiovese one of the best Italian restaurants in Indy.

The atmosphere was great, not to loud drinks were good, I had fish which was pretty good my husband had chicken Parmesan. For him it was just alright mind you he’s Sicilian Italian, and it hard to compete when you have grow up with Italian food your whole life

We selected this restaurant in part because the reviews suggested it was quiet and suitable for a date. We were admittedly troubled when we walked in to music so loud we couldn't have a conversation. At our request, the wait staff did turn down the volume but the betrayal had already occurred. The food didn't disappoint. Of special note was the heirloom salad and tiramisu.

sad we didn’t see Kate or sit in Randy section . ion exiting saw delaney that refer and family that refer my daughter to work that. isabel came from college just to eat there and see old friends . sad didn’t reconnect
server okay , hard to ask for everything . water , lemons, oil , cheese and cracker pepper instead of her offering anything ,, she is a sit and!serve no more . no wow fun factor!

My wife and I ate here while on our mini vacation to Indy. The space is small, but that was ok. We were there later in the evening so the atmosphere was quite and cozy. We started with the goat cheese appetizers. This was sort of a one note dish. The goat cheese itself was bland. It didn't have the tang we usually expect. To further subdue that flavor, a white sauce accompanied it. This blended into the cheese, and it made the overall result bland. It really needed some red sauce for visual appeal and a little kick it so needed. Our entres were not an improvement on the this. My wife's pasta was salty, when combined with the sausage and procuito the salt level was off the charts. My entre had a lemon sauce that needed a kick. When combined with the chicken and pasta it left me desiring some added acid from the lemon to elevate it to something special. Overall, not bad. Maybe we just visited on an off night for the kitchen. I'm sure the Covid problem isn't helping anyone in this industry right now. It's hard to dismiss any restaurants right now due to this. Overall I wouldn't go back based on our experience, but it could have been just a hiccup for them.

Great food and drinks in a nice quiet atmosphere. We started with the TORTA DI CAPRINO which was really good and didn’t have a real pungent goat cheese flavor.
The pasta was so good that my girlfriend actually finished her entire bowl of SPAGHETTI FRA DIAVLO. I usually never have a problem finishing my portions and my FARFALE CON FUNGHI was really good as well. The portions are very reasonable and our waiter was really nice. He even offered us a free dessert for my girlfriend’s birthday. Get the Tiramisu!! Overall it was a good evening and we will be back!!
