   Food was excellent, good portion sizes. The lobster roll was generous with the lobster meat, with large claw pieces. The service was slow at first, and we had to wave someone down to get our server to take our order. We had almost finished our bread by that point. After that, service was pretty attentive, with the bus boy clearing our table quickly and politely. I brought friends from out of town and they really enjoyed the food!

   My special lunch with my sister visiting from Atlanta was perfect in every way. Nice greeting at the door, great table with an ocean view, an absolutely excellent lunch of petrale sole. I could not have asked for a more perfect afternoon!

   We had a wonderful 42nd anniversary dinner with a view, picture perfect in every way. We were excited that it was “locals night”! That added to it. Our server was excellent and we even got to see KC (our neighbor) dining. Thank you, Kelly Huber

   We went on a slow Monday night 6pm. The staff pushes you to order drinks and dinner fast. We were done in 30 minutes. Not a relaxing dinner out. When it was time for dessert and bill out waitress was too busy for us. So we went to Meza luna for delicious and relaxing dessert and drinks.

    I had the crispy shrimp roll which was very tasty but the shrimp louie left her a bit disappointed and thought $26 was a bit steep for what it was...it was a 5 for my selection and a 2-3 for the other meal...but we had a nice time...very busy at 6:00 on a Friday

    Spectacular location and views…service and food really average…not complaining about it, and also nothing really outstanding…we had a lunch of smoked salmon plate as starter, and then lobster rolls…lobster was fresh and delicious…but we left feeling underwhelmed

    I was able to make reservations for the date and time requested on short notice. It was to celebrate my mother’s 90th birthday. The atmosphere was wonderful along with the service, our waitress was well informed with the menu. Both meals were wonderful nothing left on our plates. I would also like to say great places to photography or just take a walk on the beach. Lastly I have reached out to friends I myself will return.

    I celebrated my birthday and we had a wonderful time. Everything we ordered was delicious. My favorite is the Roasted Garlic Chili Prawns with Pesto and Feta. Just wonderful. The key lime pie and crab cakes were also excellent. Highly recommend. Cant beat the location and view of the beach/ocean.

    Had a wonderful experience at Sam’s ChowderHouse. I highly recommend making a reservation, if possible. made a reservation for 2 for 11:30. We arrived just before the restaurant open and there was already a line down the parking lot. A staff member asked for those with reservations to follow her inside first. We were seated by the window, with amazing views of the harbor and beach. The waitress was friendly and the food was delicious. She brought us warm French bread after taking our order. I had the Crab Bisque with a generous lump of fresh crab meat on top. Also a Spring mix salad with a light tangy dressing. My date ordered their famous Clam Chowder soup which was creamy and hearty with lots of clams, celery and potatoes.. We also had the seasonal Mandarin Tangerine Lemonade. Delicious

    We were recommended this restaurant from locals. The food was amazing. The Dungeness Crab was so filling that I couldn’t eat it all. We had the chowder and it was delicious. The server was friendly and attentive and even gave me a free dessert for my birthday. Next time we’re in the area we’ll definitely go back. I highly recommend.

    Very poor quality of food. We both ordered the king salmon for lunch. It was $34 and salmon did not taste fresh nor was it cooked well. A poor value and disappointment.

    Sam's Chowder House used to be one of my favor's restaurants to bring my family and friends to. However, something is very wrong this time. The service quality has dropped significantly. Will not go back any longer.

    This is at least our third trip to this restaurant when we have visited San Francisco. The view and the food are worth the trip. It’s a great sunset dinner. Enjoyed the naked lobster roll and lobster spaghetti. Delicious!
